I've been Keto & 18-6 Intermittent Fasting for 2.5 years. For my daily fiber I eat 2-Tbsp of Korean Kimchi, a dozen dill pickle slices, half a container (3/4oz) of Japanese Natto (Vit K2-MK7), and a dollop of the Garlic/Ginger pulp from when I make my Garlic-Ginger-ACV-Lemon-Cinnamon tonic which I take 2-Tbsp every morning on an empty stomach with the dollop of pulp. I have reversed my Diabetes-2 and got off three meds. Reduced my A1c from 11.5 down to 5.3 !!
Thx for sharing.... I have been studying the literature on fiber for the past years and found that there is NO proof on humans relying on fiber at all.....from the literature, fiber seems to be completely unnecessary....if you have any sources, please let me know...
Congrats, you have changed your life for the better. I kind of just drifted into eating once a day and that's been going on for almost six months now. It's amazing how great I feel, even sleep better. And the joy of not thinking about food all the time - it's a miracle. if I honestly feel hungry and water or tea won't suffice, I'll eat a small avocado or a small plate of Kalamata olives and that's all it takes. Amazing.
Just eat big leafy green salads, lots of non starchy cruciferous veggies. Olives good too. if you need it add psyllium husk into your chaffle or muffin recipies. Also my personal experience don't get caught up in the packaged keto foods stores want to sell, just eat natural whole foods.
What Naomi says about people not even trying a keto diet is also true for the Plant Paradox eating plan. Once I started and my cravings stopped I was like a born again Christian, telling my friends and family about what a miracle it was for me. It's been almost a year and a half now and I'm still going strong. But - of the four friends and family that bought the PP book, not one of them even started. My sister told me she just couldn't go on such a restrictive plan (restrictive??), my niece said the same, two or three friends were so afraid of the 3-day fast (that I kept saying was not a real fast) that they also never started. The PP eating plan has saved my life. I've lost 20-25 kgs of weight ,and other than recently discovering I have gallbladder stones, I'm as healthy as a horse. Haven't felt this great since I was in my 20s. Both parents had arthritis, which I had as well but now, after eating the PP way, I take no meds, my feet used to kill me, that's gone, my knees that several doctors told me I would have to replace, though still aching when I lift and move heavy things, it's no longer anything I'm conscious of. My hands are much better - just a little stiff in the mornings but goes away the moment I get up and start moving. Anyway, sorry for rambling on - I just wanted to make the point that far too many people cannot wrap their minds around how we actually should be eating and not what our MDs tell us is the right way. Thanks Dr G. you really did save me!
It's great for men & post menopausal women. Not so much for women of child bearing age. Although it can be modified to account for that with 'carb ups' (Paleo starches) at the evening meal.
A healthy diet starts in the grocery store. If you buy healthy food, you increase your chances of eating healthy increases. Also, people need to list the foods you should eat while keeping in mind the foods you shouldn't eat. People need to learn to prepare their food so it remains healthy. My biggest was that keeps me eating healthy is not to eat when I am hungry.
I started ketogenic when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in July. It,s September and my readings are basically of a non diabetic. This ketogenic diet saved my life. I also have severe advanced osteoarthritis and I have much less inflammation on top of losing 10 1bs in a month to boot!
The long hard road of fluctuating hormones throughout a woman’s life isn’t delved into much . This lady and the help she’s sought out is of great value .
Thank you again, Dr. Gundry, I got Naomi's book halfway through the podcast. I've bought five of your books, and I've just begun your Plant Paradox diet. I'm seventy-one years old with COPD, and I'm aFib. I'm a disabled vet, and get all my care and medications from the Mountain Home VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. I'm currently taking thirteen prescription medications. I feel good about what I've learned from your books, and the pod-cast I've listened to. BTW, your book, The Plant Paradox, was recommended to me by my primary physician, Dr. Kathrine Tanner.
Keto is the easiest way of eating around...if you have to 1 meal a day...very practical....Basically some grass fed beef, wild salmon, broccoli, okra, grassfed butter maybe some berries etc...super easy
More and more experts such as Dr Ken Berry and others these days say that we don’t need fibre at all. I just wish these experts could make up their minds and tell us ONE truth....
Variation is the key to keeping any diet. I'm a strict pescatarian and do keto with IF, but after loosing 10 kg I'm not loosing much anymore. But I'm passed menopause and I think my metabolism is broken. I even gain weight some days, although I'm very strict and not cheating and work out...🥺. And I'm constipated. High fibre keto sounds great to me! I will try it for sure!
I feel best being on ketosis, whenever I tried the idea of flexing ketosis meaning being out of ketosis I feel worse. I hate it, even a week prior to my period now, I don't eat carb but I increase even more fat and most of my PMS symptoms disappeared. No carb recycling for me, please!
I wish Naomi would have answered the Q on types of fibers specifically. My tale away is we need it and she says artichokes and curvaceous veges.. does that mean eat more broccoli and cauliflower. What about Avacados? More fiber, o.k. got it. Loved this interview!!
QQQ Can either of you comment on the ketogenic diet and fasting for folks with stage 4 kidney disease and resistant hypertension? The best kept conversation I have heard - and I have heard dozens.
Very interesting discussion both of you. Watching from the Philippines and trying to incorporate a lot of this into my diet over the last year. I naturally eat 2 meals a day now as I am not hungry for that cereal I always craved in the morning.
Thank you again, Dr G👍 For another great interview & the way you educate us about diet & lifestyle. You and Dr Berg are true heroes and health advocates 💡 With much love and respect from Chicago ❤
Hello! Dr Gundry.. could you please talk about people who struggle with thyroid problems, like hypothyroidism and Hashimoto syndrome as well? Is the ketogenic diet good for them? What type of food would you recommend? Thank you in advance for your answer! :)
Three days on keto. I’m never hungry and I’ve been sleeping amazing. Still a little worried about my intake of fiber. Been eating sardines, broccoli and avocado to simplify it but, is hard to keep when I’m outside, I live in a Carbohydrate purgatory island.
Yes at home all is ok, but when we are invited / on holidays it's impossible to do strict diet. Luckily we'd be back home again. I'm not sure for those who have stressful jobs / physical jobs they may need a different diet.
It’s weird it has been around 100 years and I have never seen anyone talk about it weather it’s media or social life . We need a tv channel that broadcasts everything that mainstream media doesn’t mention !
I live the study of all of this, but what about the very thin, gangly, tall people that don’t need weight loss can we still eat this way? Just a great interview as always
Great video! I'm new to Keto but not to fasting. My deep fasts are water only 2-3 days with 10 day being my max. Many of your observations will be taken under consideration as I move forward. Many of the foods you talk about I never heard about before. Too much protein will show in your urine so be moderate. Oh, my Dr. has mentioned more fiber. My weight loss has been steady when in Ketosis. I'm not in Ketosis all the time, but most of the time.
Dr.Gundry, thanks for such interesting information)) obviously I have a food intolerance to dairy products, eggs, nuts, grazing chicken and fish products. It is expressed in heaviness in the chest&breathing problems. Even after a few teaspoons of quality fish oil. However, blood tests show only an allergy to cereals, rice, soy, and a mild reaction to eggs and almonds. That's why I can't switch to the keto diet, because I can't eat eggs, sardines or even fish oil. Of the animal proteins, only grazing beef and pork are present in my diet. I am not overweight, I am rather below the norm. I would be grateful for advice on whether there is a way to change the situation.
Just eat the meats you can at 200 gram servings and use your own body fat or coconut oil as the c8 is a natural ketone c10 and c12 are not but that's still great
Svetlana, you need to switch to carnivore for a few months to heal your autoimmune response to these foods. Once healed, you can try reintroducing all these foods. I was on carnivore for 8 months and only now moved back to keto (I was on it for years before). Carnivore, along with proper hydration and electrolytes, healed my migraines (I applied Stanton migraine protocol).
she is so spot on about the giving up thing, I thought it would be impossible for me to give up sweet stuff like apple tart, apple pie, cookies and muffins along with honey in my herbal tea etc I have had a sweet tooth since I was a child and throughout my adult life. but I had to change as I had terrible gut problems low energy and poor sleep I was still slim with a flat belly at 65. a friend who is a practitioner of TCM told me to cut out sugar and I tried several times but always failed. but then I cut out carbs as much as posable and tried again and this time it's working its been three months no sugar no carbs and I have never felt better in my life, if I knew how good I would feel I would have done this a lot sooner I have no carvings at all now and even a little honey in my tea is too much. so what you are really giving up is feeling like shit every day, pardon my language but there is no other way to say it. having a clogged up system is hell on earth it takes all the joy out of life.
From what 'I'm hearing here I don't know if I am in Ketoses or not.8 weeks ago I started the Keto journey I was 9 KG over my ideal weight.I started out drinking 2 teaspoons of lemon juice with 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 2 glasses of water half hour before a meal. Within 3 days of not taking in sugar, I cut back on carbs at the end of 3 days I had no hunger or cravings for all the rubbish that I was eating before. Then I started to do fasting I stated at 12/12 I kept that up for a couple of weeks I then extended my fasting to where I'm at this point and that is I now have now lost the 9KG in weight. I now only have 1 meal in a 24 hour period. Now the big question I'm I in Ketoses or not?
Dr Gundry Thanks for your very interesting podcast I will appreciate if you can do specific podcast about keto fiber and Sibo What’s the solution for Sibo patients to tolerate fiber beside carnivore diet Some Sibo people will not do better with veggies whatever they will try Thank you
Im getting hungry on the first day of fasting..got cramps and headache on the second day..i targeted 3 day fasting to activate ketosis..instead i try low carb diet to train for formal ketogenic.
My understanding is that when you are fat adapted, you can go into deeper fasts. I feel good after 20 hr fast, with full schedule. Maybe shorter fasts to get adapted first. This way of life will, I hope keep me from AFib operation
You trust a chiropractor for nutrition??? He should not be using his chiro "Dr." label as it is misleading, making people think he has gone through an academic rigor that he has not. It is fine to present nutritional information without being a "doctor." But using that label, in a case like Berg, is disengenuous and manipulative.
Would this be a good diet for Adrenal fatigue, hormone issues and non alcoholic fatty liver and HLA-B27 spondyloarthropathy, cause that's my health right now. Doctors are not helping me and Im searching for a way to help myself but so many people say so many different things, I don't know what to even do.
For people struggling with keto, particularly energy levels..... salt the **** up! Seriously eat more salt! Not processed table salt but good quality sea salt or Himalayan pink salt.
Regarding bacon...very surprised that you didn't mention to consume only Uncured bacon. Organic Uncured bacon is available at most supermarket in the US.
All bacon is cured if not with man-made sodium nitrate or potassium nitrates then they use natural celery juice which is loaded with nitrites/nitrates. No difference.
Why not enough fiber? We are to eat at least 7 cups of veg or salad a day, moderate protein n lots of fat 75 % can consist of coconut oil, ghee n virgin olive oil, butter, nuts n seeds, tallow, lard etc
Also eat saturated fats, bacon, pork belly, roast pork n roast duck that we can buy from the Chinese restuarant, fried lard cubes, et and only 5 to 10 % carbs.
Would a pescatarian, low carb 2 meal per day (over 8 hrs) diet supplemented with MNM, resveratrol, quercetin, fisetin, olive oil with 3 montly five day water fasts be a good compromise.
Thanks to you both for this interesting talk. Do Jerusalem artichokes have the same fibre content. I know they have inulin. I think you call them sunchokes in America. Thanks.
I've notice that my blood has gotten thicker after a week of carnivore (PMSF) + some sauerkraut. Thicker blood is hard on the heart as it need more strength to pump the blood.
I only was on strict (maybe 10-15g of carb daily) keto for a week...I had the best sleep ever period. Couldn't do it long term, switched back to low carb.
It is not long term for some People it is when you reach your desirous weight then you can introduce other foods into your diet you needed to listen to people who knew what they are doing
Hi Dr Gundry, if I heat up milk to boiling point and let it boil for few minutes, would it then be ok to drink even it's casin A 1? Would boiling milk damage its nutritional value?
They need to do a heavy metal detox on her child if he's vaccinated there are trace metals like Mercury and aluminum in his system and it needs to be dealt with Epsom salt baths work great also
Unfortunately the masses are brainwashed and wont believe you. Its sad how we as a culture have been lied to about how our bodies work to create a market for pharmaceuticals. Theyre too blind to see it
Aluminum is so pervasive in the earth's crust, that it's in all our foods. There's more of it in breast milk/formula than in a vaccination. The mercury in vaccines is ethyl mercury, not methyl mercury...2 different compounds. Drinking ethanol (alcohol) will make u tipsy/ methanol will kill u...huge difference.
I make it very easy...eat 2x a day, 3 eggs or meat the size of my palm. 8-12 cups of veggies per day, about 3/4 cup of berries with about 1/2 cup natural yogurt, A Tbsp or 2 of nuts. I'm never hungry.
Don't need willpower for this I'm not hungry on the keto lifestyle and I'm no longer a diabetic a bonus is losing about 25 pound's don't forget fiber I eat a huge salad everyday and I use to hate salads.
I have been keto to carnivore for the last 2 1/2 years. A few days after switching to keto I noticed that I wasn’t hungry between meals. After about 6 weeks I started skipping breakfast because I just wasn’t hungry at that time of day anymore. Now I usually have 1 or maybe 2 meals a day. When the food that you eat is what your body needs it doesn’t take the immense will power that it takes when you’re eating sweet potatoes and boiled chicken ( ask me how I know). I no longer crave the carbohydrate laden foods that I once did. Both me and my wife have lost over 60 lbs and completely reversed T2 diabetes.
Fascinating interview. Thanks for it. One point I was confused about (so far) was the idea that the bacteria in the microbiome can directly communicate with the brain using hunger signals. This is counterintuitive as they aren’t actually cells of the body but are really parasites, albeit good ones. Is there any research to back this up? The other point is that the discussion on gut bacteria seems to assume that the types of bacteria should remain fixed, irrespective of the body’s diet. This is also counterintuitive as one would surely expect the types of bacteria in the gut to evolve to be appropriate to the body’s diet. I.e. if one type is starved of its food, it dies off and others that thrive on the new diet will grow to take its place. The net result of your finer approach is to say the gut bacteria that needs fibre must be fed as no other type of bacteria can do what it does. This is more a symbiotic relationship, which I don’t believe anyone has yet postulated, especially as we now know that ancient humans had very little fibre in their diet, so our bodies have evolved not needing it.
Microbiota is 10 times ,our human cells,99 percent genes we carry. We human have 23,000 genes in every cell.We carry millions of micro biota genes.Food quality, amount, timing to eat, sleep, breathing, posture, dealing with stress, exercise ,moving all affect our microbiota. This is nano biology .Microbiota is 80 percent of our immune system ,70 percent neurotransmitters ,gut is called second brain. Why ?It is because has many nerve cells and nerve fibers more than spinal cord.Webare part of the whole ecosystem. We need light, sunlight like plant. In every cell we have an organelle called mitochondria produce our energy. These mitochondriavare pro bacteria living in symbiosis.Microbiota is a chemical factory ,communicate with each other. There is microbiota on the skin, mouth, nose, nervous system ,brain, vagina, urethra, fetus in uterus.Weknow nothing .It is tip of ice berg.I eat three types of yogart one contain Lactbacillus Rueteri, oncon three alive bacteria, activia 5 but re do it ,too much sugar, all made at home with soya milk.sprouted green lentils raw, green mong been. Not easy .
The problem with keto is people eating sticks of butter and as much cheese and nuts as they like! 🤦♂️. Also people being scared of eating too much protein for fear of being 'kicked' out of keto! 🤦♂️. We should be eating much more animal protein than we do, 1g/lb is a good starting point especially for the elderly!
I did keto for 6 months I get off of all my inflammation and arthritis I felt good but the only I didn’t like that’s I lost all my hair and I lost a lots of weight I don’t look good . I Realy regret to do it even though it’s good very health
Please check your iron and thyroid hormone levels. Ferritin test for iron and reverse t3 and morning waking temperature. Hair follicles need the to produce hair as well as checking to see what your blood ability to hold protien. Not enough protien also causes this
Dear Dr. Gundry, I’m about to buy your olive oil. I’m also thinking of buying the health supplement “Organifi Protein” to help with weight management because I’m trying to lose weight. Do you offer a weight loss protein powder supplement that I should try instead?
Don't knock the grain based food pyramid. It is how our ancestors ate, but food was much cleaner back then. Wheat was different. Vegetables and fruit had higher nutritional content. People consumed more fiber. People were more physically active. My ancestors ate a lot of homegrown complex carbs. They lived well into their 80s and mid 90s.
I am not a fan of keto. I have no gall bladder and cannot eat high fat...no matter what kind it is. I would have to take a lot of bile salts which is a difficult balancing task.
My wife had her gall bladder removed over ten years ago. She and I have both been keto for 2 and a half years. We both lost over 60 lbs and got off of all our diabetes medications. The only unexpected side effect was a second pregnancy at age 44 which resulted in our now 9 month old daughter.
Can you take me in as a patient? I have acromegaly. I have the feeling that I would benefit a lot from ketogenic diet but I believe I’m not doing it right. Thx.
Hello Gundry. I am curious, is wildrice any good? It is the seeds from the grass so it is a seed, but it has more fibres than rice, pasta and so on in general, but is it still worth to avoid it or is it good to eat?
I'm not rich but I can afford it. I have no car payment and no mortgage and super low property taxes and we're retired. It's more a matter of priorities than anything. Good health should be a priority.
I am not rich, and I only consume organic grass-fed beef and a lot of it. I just go for the ground organic grass-fed beef. Ground version costs much less than some steak, and you can make several tasty dinners with it.
Thank you so much for talking about this! Iam 32yrs old and have epileptic seizures. My drs only care about keeping me on medication and not the diet. How can we ensure we follow a good diet for adult seizures and what do you feel.needs to change?
I am 72 years old gynaecologist from India .Largely vegetarian. Diabetic for last 27 years, on OH D . We don’t get Avacados and Artichokes here . How can I go on a ketogenic diet using local produce
Beet root contain chemicals produce Nitric oxide gas which cause Vaso dilataion. Our blood vessels lining called endothelium produce this gas.Look after your microbiota ,all your problems solved. Why ?gut has 80 percent of our immune system.Food is trigger to genes,it is information, not for taste.we eat to live ,not living to eat.
Fiber is super-important in proper keto diet, else you're likely to have constipation issues (I did myself). It should be emphasized but it's all kinds of wrong claiming it's absent in keto. I would rather focus on the big forgotten nutrient: vitamin D.
I've been Keto & 18-6 Intermittent Fasting for 2.5 years. I have reversed my Diabetes-2 and got off three meds. Reduced my A1c from 11.5 down to 5.3 !!
Are you taking d3 10iu per every 100 k2
I just use cabbage as substitute for bread. It works great!
Of course other veggies as well.
Thx for sharing....
I have been studying the literature on fiber for the past years and found that there is NO proof on humans relying on fiber at all.....from the literature, fiber seems to be completely unnecessary....if you have any sources, please let me know...

I love keto diet.I dont care about ketojenic. This is not a diet, this is eating good food.I always loved olives and fish so on..and butter is the best.

Constantly being on Keto is best. I’m three years and still improving. I’m 72.

How is this woman a mother of 4 and in her 40s 😯 she looks incredible
The long hard road of fluctuating hormones throughout a woman’s life isn’t delved into much . This lady and the help she’s sought out is of great value .
Salt helped me with the keto flu, four days in I took a big pinch of salt in water and two minutes later I felt almost euphoric with energy
She is right, cravings stop and you no longer think about food all the time nor are you ravenous for the next meal.

There is not one size fits all. Nutrition is very personal and to some people do not need fiber, some others do.

Trouble with organic foods is price and as others in the keto world point out,if all you can afford is the non organic do that.

I do Keto and get lots of fibre. 7-8 cups of veggies a day lus avocado and I add psyllium husks to all Keto breads and wraps or deserts.
that is true, and his diet is super rich in fiber... he has been telling people to eat lots of veggies for years... so nothing new here...
Yes, and yes, I've tried Keto, it didnt work to me, so now I am on what I call Gundry's Keto
Hello! Dr Gundry.. could you please talk about people who struggle with thyroid problems, like hypothyroidism and Hashimoto syndrome as well? Is the ketogenic diet good for them? What type of food would you recommend? Thank you in advance for your answer! :)
I've been waiting almost 150 episodes for this interview

All the health professionals I see that are advocating keto on you tube are including high fiber vegetables in their recommended list of foods.
It’s weird it has been around 100 years and I have never seen anyone talk about it weather it’s media or social life . We need a tv channel that broadcasts everything that mainstream media doesn’t mention !
She refused to answer what her typical day looks like food-wise. 🤪.
Dr. You read my mind 😀💚
I needed exactly this information. Tkank you so much....
I live the study of all of this, but what about the very thin, gangly, tall people that don’t need weight loss can we still eat this way? Just a great interview as always
Is good to listening to a woman talking experiencing and studying the benefits of the keto diet and now plus with good fiber
One more thing, stop eating so much bacon particularly smoked bacon, it has far too many preservatives! Just eat more eggs or swap for sardines.

I was on carnivore for 8 months and only now moved back to keto (I was on it for years before). Carnivore, along with proper hydration and electrolytes, healed my migraines (I applied Stanton migraine protocol).
I eat celery and carrots uncooked. Yum. I also eat flaxseed and Chia seeds!
she is so spot on about the giving up thing, I thought it would be impossible for me to give up sweet stuff like apple tart, apple pie, cookies and muffins along with honey in my herbal tea etc I have had a sweet tooth since I was a child and throughout my adult life.
but I had to change as I had terrible gut problems low energy and poor sleep I was still slim with a flat belly at 65.
a friend who is a practitioner of TCM told me to cut out sugar and I tried several times but always failed.
but then I cut out carbs as much as posable and tried again and this time it's working its been three months no sugar no carbs and I have never felt better in my life, if I knew how good I would feel I would have done this a lot sooner I have no carvings at all now and even a little honey in my tea is too much.
so what you are really giving up is feeling like shit every day,
pardon my language but there is no other way to say it.
having a clogged up system is hell on earth it takes all the joy out of life.
Thank you, Naomi Whittel, for bringing resveratrol to the U.S. market! As a ME/CFs sufferer, this supplement has helped me tremendously!!!
Ten DAYS to get into ketosis? Most would say about 24 hours to burn up glycogen stores. Then what?
Another consideration is what one can afford. Organic is very expensive.. sometimes 400% higher!
Dr Gundry
Thanks for your very interesting podcast
I will appreciate if you can do specific podcast about keto fiber and Sibo
What’s the solution for Sibo patients to tolerate fiber beside carnivore diet
Some Sibo people will not do better with veggies whatever they will try
Thank you
Im getting hungry on the first day of fasting..got cramps and headache on the second day..i targeted 3 day fasting to activate ketosis..instead i try low carb diet to train for formal ketogenic.
My understanding is that when you are fat adapted, you can go into deeper fasts. I feel good after 20 hr fast, with full schedule. Maybe shorter fasts to get adapted first. This way of life will, I hope keep me from AFib operation
The only Doctor I truly trust concerning Keto is Dr.Eric Berg, his knowledge is utterly astounding!
Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia . I've been in Keto since 2017 and this is info i need . Thanks for the video .
For people struggling with keto, particularly energy levels..... salt the **** up! Seriously eat more salt! Not processed table salt but good quality sea salt or Himalayan pink salt.
Sea salt is better. Himalayan salt is red because it has more iron, and too much iron is toxic
@@jccgold Berg says sea salt is full of plastic
Regarding bacon...very surprised that you didn't mention to consume only Uncured bacon. Organic Uncured bacon is available at most supermarket in the US.
All bacon is cured if not with man-made sodium nitrate or potassium nitrates then they use natural celery juice which is loaded with nitrites/nitrates. No difference.
Thanks for your work Dr Gundry. Have you got a podcast on Gout?
Li
Why not enough fiber? We are to eat at least 7 cups of veg or salad a day, moderate protein n lots of fat 75 % can consist of coconut oil, ghee n virgin olive oil, butter, nuts n seeds, tallow, lard etc
Also eat saturated fats, bacon, pork belly, roast pork n roast duck that we can buy from the Chinese restuarant, fried lard cubes, et and only 5 to 10 % carbs.
What do you recommend for hypothyroid
I really like Dr Gundry
keto is awesome just do it right!!! its helped my family so mush thank you
Would a pescatarian, low carb 2 meal per day (over 8 hrs) diet supplemented with MNM, resveratrol, quercetin, fisetin, olive oil with 3 montly five day water fasts be a good compromise.
Thanks to you both for this interesting talk. Do Jerusalem artichokes have the same fibre content. I know they have inulin. I think you call them sunchokes in America. Thanks.
I follow Dr Berry and he has said we don't need fiber! So He's a Dr so I'm sticking with him! Good interview but don't agree with all she said.
Wonderful interview! I just purchased her book, thank you!
Keto is low carb. Duh.
It is not long term for some People it is when you reach your desirous weight then you can introduce other foods into your diet you needed to listen to people who knew what they are doing
One week is a short time
Hi Dr Gundry, if I heat up milk to boiling point and let it boil for few minutes, would it then be ok to drink even it's casin A 1? Would boiling milk damage its nutritional value?
Dear Dr. what's your take on allulose? What's your take on cooked and cooled rice/potatoes (and cooling time; overnight, etc)?
Love Naomi always ❤️
Will power is key!
@@staceykersting705 is that adequate fat?
I have been keto to carnivore for the last 2 1/2 years. A few days after switching to keto I noticed that I wasn’t hungry between meals. After about 6 weeks I started skipping breakfast because I just wasn’t hungry at that time of day anymore. Now I usually have 1 or maybe 2 meals a day. When the food that you eat is what your body needs it doesn’t take the immense will power that it takes when you’re eating sweet potatoes and boiled chicken ( ask me how I know). I no longer crave the carbohydrate laden foods that I once did. Both me and my wife have lost over 60 lbs and completely reversed T2 diabetes.
but how do you sleep??? if keto works on insulin resistance i shouldnt be waking at 2 am everyday.
Did I just hear Cameroon 42:23? Yehhhhh💃💃💃💃💃💃💃. I am a Cameroonian.
Not easy .
I am vegetarian so no pork..
I am ingesting a lot of olive oil..
thank you for this,
Dr Gundry & Miss Naomi 👋
How do you get b12
There are some who do good on keto with quality eggs, cheeses, and butter.
So we should just eat artichokes? I guess you need to buy her book before she will tell you what else to eat besides artichoke
Search TH-cam for ‘high fiber keto’. There’s dozens of videos.
Amazing tie, Dr G
Later part of her 40s? She looks like she is 25.
Exactly
The poor lighting on her face helps.
After awhile if you really want good health you'll eat bacon in moderation and not everyday.
Has anyone tried prebiotic fiber. Its from bulletproof. I just started.
Can someone tell me the Japanese scientist name who discovered autophagy in 2016 I think it was?
Good information, thank you
Dr need to about frozen vegetables and fruits. Thank you 🌻
I did keto for 6 months I get off of all my inflammation and arthritis I felt good but the only I didn’t like that’s I lost all my hair and I lost a lots of weight I don’t look good . I Realy regret to do it even though it’s good very health
Sounds like a zinc deficiency or something like phytates blocking the zinc
I had the same problem but basically healed alopecia with zinc
That's my main problem, I became so skinny which made me a horrible look
Nadia, you most likely weren’t getting enough calories and were too low on protein.
You have to set out how many weight you want to loose then when you meet that you go maintenance by introducing other foods
Please check your iron and thyroid hormone levels. Ferritin test for iron and reverse t3 and morning waking temperature. Hair follicles need the to produce hair as well as checking to see what your blood ability to hold protien. Not enough protien also causes this
Love this ❤❤
What is the best bacon to buy for KETO diet? Thanks
Great interview.
Dear Dr. Gundry, I’m about to buy your olive oil. I’m also thinking of buying the health supplement “Organifi Protein” to help with weight management because I’m trying to lose weight. Do you offer a weight loss protein powder supplement that I should try instead?
He does, i ran into advertisement, I'm not sure about the name
Don't knock the grain based food pyramid. It is how our ancestors ate, but food was much cleaner back then.
Wheat was different. Vegetables and fruit had higher nutritional content. People consumed more fiber. People were more physically active.
My ancestors ate a lot of homegrown complex carbs. They lived well into their 80s and mid 90s.
How do I get rid of Hyperhidrosis
My husband has gout , can he do keto?
Fantastic!

I am not a fan of keto. I have no gall bladder and cannot eat high fat...no matter what kind it is. I would have to take a lot of bile salts which is a difficult balancing task.
My wife has no gallbladder but she does keto.
My wife had her gall bladder removed over ten years ago. She and I have both been keto for 2 and a half years. We both lost over 60 lbs and got off of all our diabetes medications. The only unexpected side effect was a second pregnancy at age 44 which resulted in our now 9 month old daughter.
Congratulations on the little bundle!
Thank you!💜💙💙
Can you take me in as a patient? I have acromegaly. I have the feeling that I would benefit a lot from ketogenic diet but I believe I’m not doing it right. Thx.
Hello Gundry.
I am curious, is wildrice any good? It is the seeds from the grass so it is a seed, but it has more fibres than rice, pasta and so on in general, but is it still worth to avoid it or is it good to eat?
Does the Keto diet stay the same afte the weight loss
For most people yes. The human body won’t destroy itself after it’s achieved its proper weight and health .
Must be very nice to be rich ... most of us can’t afford to eat grass fed organic meat ...
I'm not rich but I can afford it. I have no car payment and no mortgage and super low property taxes and we're retired. It's more a matter of priorities than anything. Good health should be a priority.
If you live in the US, Walmart and Aldi sell grass fed organic beef for around $5.00 a pound
I am not rich, and I only consume organic grass-fed beef and a lot of it. I just go for the ground organic grass-fed beef. Ground version costs much less than some steak, and you can make several tasty dinners with it.
True, I tend to eat less these days. But you don't have to go organic all the time, it's a spectrum imo.
@@rualablhor
We will eat non-organic if it's grassfed. It's rare for us to eat conventional GMO fed beef but it's happens on rare occasions.
Thanks 🙏
you can have your bake n eat it too
Thank you so much for talking about this!
Stopping sugar and planting your own stuff
Non starchy vegetables.
Wondering about women and carbs crossing path with sugar and yeast within females? Interesting
True!!👏🏼🙏🏼
Dr. You never talk about beetroot,I would highly appreciate if you could educate us about it. Thank you and God bless you 💐
Beet root contain chemicals produce Nitric oxide gas which cause Vaso dilataion.
I am around 90% carnivore and I have absolutely no issues with constipation.
