Minighost... Not a C64 game but a good idea indeed. I loved it and it's the main inspiration of Lester, the C64 game I'm developing right now. (Actually it started as a conversion attempt before becoming its own thing)
Like others have said, it's incredible the C64 still has a fantastic community and has some amazing new games being developed that squeezes even more technical wizardry out of this computer - games that would have been huge hits back in the 80's. I spent much of my teens and 20's in the 80's-90's playing and programming games in assembly for the C64 and later Amiga. Wonderful machines. And of course, I wish we had the development tools then that we have now...and the internet, lol.
As said it is named 'Spooky'. It has never been finished. There's a playable demo but no levels etc. A shame because it's the best looking C64 game ever. It's been not been updated for years.
It's Spooky, a long abandoned project by all accounts, unfortunately. Ghost, indeed a port from the MSX, is featured at 00:37. An honest mistake by Matthias, can happen to anyone.
Yeah, you're right. Minighost for the MSX is the main inspiration of Lester (along with the Maze of Galious, also a MSX game). I played the hell out of it a couple of years ago and thinked how cool it would be to have a similar game on the C64. I started converting it during the first quarantine to refine my C64 development skills without even thinking to complete it, then when I saw that the engine wasn't bad at all and a full game was feasible I decided to make my own thing. Despite the graphics resemblance in the background of the first zone (aka the blue zone) it turned out quite different (I hope not much worse :-) )
Yeah, it looks like the original, but it was earlier than 1991 - 1988 actually, so not sure what’s up with the 1991 copyright. Maybe it was tweaked & re-released back then?
Name: Ghost, it was a new MSX Module from an User, but it seems that it was removed and then released on steam as "Mini Ghost" for Windows store.steampowered.com/app/586880/Mini_Ghost/

Interesting :-)

The sprite design in that one looks awesome.
I love that the C64 is still getting games! It's one of the only good things about the future :D
nice selection, thank You .It would be nice to have a playlist with the times.
Nice provision or provideing shown here, that's my opinion kinda aswell.

I super enjoyed seeing your selections, many of which I hadn't seen. Thanks!
Nice to see someone is still enjoying Jam It!
Can you send me an email?
I’m just astonished at the quality of these games

SID chip sounding as good as I remember it👌
Magot was abandoned, I think. Or moved to a different platform. Last I saw they were making it for the Mega Drive / Genesis.
The horizontal shooter looks almost 16 bit. Incredible.
IO? Fun fact, it was single file game. All levels including intro and endiing stuffed into 64kb memory of C64.
What is the name of the game starting at 3.33? Looks amazing
Spooky :-)
@@u64 Thanks! Seems there is only a preview available for now. Something to look forward to :-)

I fully agree. It looks almost like a 16-bit era game. Reminds me of Sega Genesis much.
Is fantastic
3:37 Whats the name of the game that looks like Braid?.
Thanks.
Ghost, MSX

@@oscarjimenezgarrido7591 Right, Spooky, I missed 3:37 :-)
Really Great to see these games
C64 was my first computer
Wow. Great job! Can I have a link to Shaolin+ game? Thank you.

Are these hardware accelerated? I don't remember my original C64 being that "snappy". Especially with so many things happening at the same time
No, pure C64
@@u64 WOW!
0:40 looks a lot like a c64 game called "Lester" that is currently in development

All of these games look outstanding! One of them says copyright 1991, but I'm assuming that this is a remake of that game?
IO looks like the original. Played it so much back in the day.

I just seen a preview for a c64 game currently in development called "Lester" that seems quite similar
What is the zombie game called?
Spooky
A few cool looking games there. 👍
Too bad Spooky at 3:33 will never be. It looks and sounds amazing.
Oh well.
Amazing!
all of the great
Wooooow!!!!
Some games of this looks like SNES or Amiga game. Great quality
Notexactl, but they are really good for an 8bit machine
Povești din folcorul maghiar.
Spooky è uno splendore! Ma è veramente c64…?? 🙂
Yes, C64
Wow, amazing!
