Just think. Over here you're NOT going to be shot and killed or strangled to death by the police and going to the hospital isn't going to bankrupt you. 28 days paid leave when you're working, the price in the shelf is the price you pay at the checkout, everywhere is reachable by car in a few hours. Enjoy your stay.
@@NotQuiteBritish18 May I suggest watching two of the most popular soap operas? Eastenders ( based in London ) and Coronation Street ( based in Manchester ).
Nice to see your reason for the move We have a few US friends who live in the UK . Our closest friends are an English husband and US wife , they actually lived on a yacht in the Med for many years but now live back in the UK however once a year go back to New Hampshire A big step to leave relatives and live in a foreign country but being with your husband ( hope he appreciates it) is the overriding factor Fortunately with Zoom ,Skype etc family and friends are not as hard to keep in touch with as it used to be in the past when perhaps a letter or one phone call a year was all people could afford. Stay safe Lee & Christine xx
Hi, Kim, very interesting. I'm glad you are settling in here, most of us are friendly. I hope everything goes well. It would be good to have a video on how you found the visa process. Looking forward to your next video soon.
I’m glad your husband was so persuasive; the US’s loss is our gain. Were you ever to compromise and choose Canada you will at least have the same queen as here.
Hi Kim, you’ll like it here. Take the opportunity to discover Europe which is on your doorstep. And I’d like to know whether you think the UK is more or less multicultural than the US. The UK is steeped in history and we have a population who for better or worse decided it would be a good move to leave the EU. We’ll see about that. The same people generally wanted a step back in time to an era when Britain ruled the waves. So I expect you’ll come across those sort of attitudes. However, go to London and marvel at the diversity of culture. Fantastic international city which has so much to offer to everyone on every level. Keep posting vids as we don’t appreciate fully what we do well and not so well. In other words we need someone to tell us what they think. Welcome to the UK.

He was reluctant to go to the states? He's a very sensible man, you couldn't pay me to live there.
You are very welcome here. You have an open mind and you will settle in quickly. What do you think of out TV? Far fewer ads for sure!
I don't watch TV much. I'll have to gain some insight on what's popular.

@@Crusty_Camper I'll check them out. Thanks!
Far fewer ads? Not on freeview that's for sure.
@@EaterOfBaconSandwiches I've noticed that the ad breaks on different channels tend to coincide, presumably to discourage channel hopping.
