Nurburgring Pro Driver Takes Me for a Ride | First Time Passenger | Screaming for my Life!
I got more than I bargained for during my first visit to Germany. Planned to be a bystander for someone else's taxi ride around the Nurburgring race track until I found out that the person booked one for me.

Mini Food Shopping | Farm Shop - Northants | American in the UK

I primary buy meats and vegetables from my local farm shop in Northamptonshire on a weekly basis. They sell other food items too but some things aren't available all the time. Ultimately, getting there early is best as it allows for having the first pick of what's available for the day. It's enjoyable to shop there because they are always friendly and very helpful. I had a lovely Christmas meal this year. I prepared Roast lamb, potatoes, parsnips and butternut squash. I must admit that my meal was quit starchy! I felt guilty for not having any green vegetable with my meal but it was good anyway. Household Bills | American in UK
มุมมอง 1.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I talk about two household bills that are common in the UK but not in the US. The two household bills are the TV licence and Council Tax. The TV licence is £157.50 a year and the Council Tax is set by the local council. I have included a valuation chart for the town of Thrapston in the video as an example. There are some exceptions as to who pays for these household bills. Check o...

American Living in Small UK town...NOT LONDON
I am so grateful for the NHS they saved my mums life the care she received was beyond par. I had gall stones which made me feel really unwell after feeling really for a few days i called my local surgery and spoke to the doctor they advised me to go dial 999 and go to hospital i didn't dial 999 instead i took a taxi and went to hospital was seen almost immediately then was admitted to a ward had my bloods taken, weight and height taken then was put on a drip. I stayed in hospital for a week they took me for tests had my bloods taken again i went for an MRI scan. Stayed in hospital. All in all my experience using the NHS is a positive one i am so grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff who worked in the hospital they were fantastic they treated me with such care.
Mail to your door 😂😂😂
I love your videos and your insights into the UK. I've noticed you haven't posted for a while. Hope you're alright and I'd be happy to see any future content you decide to do.
Hi Kim! Are you still in the U.K. I want to move from Atlanta and considering London suburbs. Hope to hear from you!❤
Hello! Yes, I'm still in the UK. Been to Atlanta 4 times and have family that live there. Not too familiar with the London suburbs but have visited central London several times in the past year. Have you ever visited London? If not, please visit before making the move.
@@NotQuiteBritish18 Thanks for the reply! I have only traveled thru. I am definitely planning to visit in the near future, but will continue to do my research as we plan.
North Hampshire County? Do you mean Northamptonshire? There's no space because there is no space we are a small island. Dead end street - if that's your attitude then f### of back to the states
When you move here you need to forget how it was back in USA, we are a lot smaller in size, and we do things so differently than you're used to. Also there's so much to do in Nothants. and the surrounding areas it's just a matter of looking
An American was asked about the UK's NHS and she said I don't want the government to know about my medical records??Like the governmen doesn'tt already know and when she walked away she shouted it's NHS SOCIALIST anyway .But some Americasns are just on another level they don't come out there safe little bubble. We might not have the best MEDICAL INSTITUTEtin the world but it's certainly not the worst.Just found your channel by accident and subbed 😁👍
How did u and your husband meet, may i ask?
4:48 H&M is not an American brand. It's Swedish. H&M stands for Hennes & Mauritz.
Most people in the US won't go in an Ambulance because they are sent a bill if you have no insurance it's free in the UK
You need to remember the street plan is probably hundreds of years old.
Could you let us know that your o.k. Been a while. :)
I've never got stickers in mine. Usually a plastic frog that flips, or if you've got expensive crackers, you might get a set of toenail clippers!
Welcome to the UK
Things to do is go to the pub
I went to live in south africa with a job all sorted took the wife and two kids lovely house. As a white man could only go to office with Driver .to arive there safe wife needed armed escort to take the Kids to school . And to go shoping . What a terrible place to Live a proper shit hole .no wander All ppl like it here . Iam back now Managed to get my old job back But what i have noticed its turning into a dump like south africa . Life is cheap most blacks in the uk come from meny ethnic back grounds .and most carnt stand the site of rach other hence The stabbings. We dint get to here all the murder events on our News outlets if the truth was to be put out there say by the BBC It would be terrible. Thats why The truth is always kept from the british puplic . Well i hope you enjoy your stay .but pkease remember your part of the problem .
If you like the English countryside and a lot of people do ,that is one of the reasons why the houses are not built to American sizes .A small town filled with those would take up so much more room and more houses ,streets ,roads to access them etc would just fill little Britain . Also ,our history is such that most of the population live in houses built up to 150 to 200 years old ,when houses were often built for working people to rent ,so were of a modest size. Your video is so nice, it`s meant for other Americans, there are so many places to see and live in ,outside the big cities so it`s good that you should show that
You know home delivery is easy online for shopping.
Lol not much space in uk in general
"Protests" more like riots
UK outlets are pure genius compared with the dodgy no fuse 3rd world electrics to be found in the US.
I have never been so proud and happy to be British - I really cherish our NHS and all the doctors and nurses who work for them, including my mum! Thank you for doing this video!
which Ford were you driving ?
Happy New Year. I hope your safe and well. :)
Thank you I went to the Ferrer's school left higham in 85 and have only gone back once in the 90s..It was nice to see it.
Lovely lady
What a superb video! You are such a natural commentator and your output is delightful. Please share more of your outlook with us. Much love from Old Hampshire
Can’t believe you went past but didn’t pop in for a cuppa ☹️
Hi Kim, Not sure how long you've been in our wonderful country, but welcome. Really pleased to hear you describe your bit of England. One things for sure and that is you're always welcome and when you get the chance, take some time to explore the wider UK. For such a small island, we are truly blessed with some fantastic places and sights. Enjoy.
I a white British person and never been to the US and I am even terrified of the American police from what I see on the news.
Hello Kim, your videos are delightful. So glad that I found your channel. Please keep making more
28 days including public holidays or without public holidays? And Do you actually avail those leaves?
I live near that Asda and I’ve heard a lot of ppl say Milton Keynes feels like home after moving out of their country😅I’ve been here 19 years now and I can’t wait to leave it’s like a dead end
This is interesting is peri peri big in britain because of nandos or because we have a large afro-carribean population? Back in the eighties i used to love the curry patties from the jamaican stall in the market in luton.edit forget that i see it originated in mozambique.
I think its because of the popularity of Nandos
28 days holiday after your first day of work with a new company I have never been offered that in the U.k. Best I ever got was about 1.5 days for every month worked. Plus bank holidays
I think she's including bank and public holidays
You can drive for 12 months on US license then you have to take UK test, or you will not get insurance.
You're right about the street signs in the UK!
He was reluctant to go to the states? He's a very sensible man, you couldn't pay me to live there.
Salary gets paid direct into our bank accounts.
Once a month is ok.
I drink at least ten cups of tea a day.
Upstairs is the first floor, downstairs is the ground floor, hopefully will save you some confusion.
I hope you like it here. U don't need make up.
Try being 60 and finding a job if you do not drive either.
The USA is a truly awful country in its treatment of working people, hospitals & annual leave, health & safety, poor wages. Working people in England pay national insurance tax so it isn't free, only at the point of delivery. We got sick of people dying in ditches. America has had years of democratic party rule & its their version of our labour party, but how little they do for their own people, truly hypocritical leaders.
when Britain taxed its citizens living in America, there were cries of "No taxation without representation!" So when did America stop taxing is overseas citizens? Actually, it never has done. But it did concede to giving them then the vote... but not until Jimmy Carter was president!
LOL...Mrs. H here...I was babysitting for my son, he rang and ordered a Chinese pick-up, ...Then my hubby came over, and he went to collect, only to go to the wrong Chinese!...He took it though, after waiting for it quickly cooked up. I then had to apologise to irate right one!
Glad you like it here.
