"Which means you should be able to humiliate and embarrass just about anything on the road, especially for those kids that don't know what they're racing" Is the perfect way to describe this. My 2009 A6 is the same beat, quiet and subtle enough even lowered with some performance mods- but it blows the doors off Type R's, M3's, and STIs.

Audi guy here. And a Wisconsin based one at that.
Love the D2.5 S8. Great quality from this era.
    Exterior: 8.5
Interior: 7 Looks and feels good. No rattles but the lack of tech is obvious by modern standards.
Performance: 6 It's a GT Luxo barge cruiser. Not a performance car by todays standards but still peppy enough.
Mods: Eh. It's not like a B5S4 but sure, you can mod it up a bit if you want. Typically, people don't do as much of that with the NA V8 but let's be honest, most of us can't leave something completely stock. Please put a stock wheel back in and take off the windscreen decal. That looks silly. Especially in an Audi S8. Audi is, and traditionally has always been , understated class.
One last minor CC, the RS5 Rotors look out of place on that era. Just my opinion.

Love the S8 model as a whole. Colors are great on this one. Personally I would take my 2013 any day though. Stock rated 520HP and pushing 667 with just a stage 1 APR tune. All kinds of upgrades from the older ones. I'm a techy though so newer cars will always appeal to me.

They’re cool, but lack character, and also weigh ~1000lbs++ more than a D2.
The original S8 is also feasible to maintain yourself. The amount of fuckery to work on a D3 or D4 is unbelievable.
Plus, 3 pedals and a manual gearbox are available. Not sure a D3 or D4 could ever be manual swapped.

Run forever, as long as you take care of them with something outlandish like oil changes, proper warm driving, regular coolant changes, proper fuel and filters. So I need some help i think.. I just need more confirmation from car people especially for the VW line.
I own a top model of the VW Beetle 2012 GTI Chassis and GTI Engine + DSG, it has 18" rims with 235/45 R 18 98 Y M+S All Season Tires
    I got some fitting 19" Rotiform wheels 8.5X19 5X112 5X120 ET45 NB72.5 (yes it has a multiple lug setup).
I found some TOYO Tires (TOYO proxes sport xl) And when i search for which tire dimensions I need are, (235/40ZR19 96Y TOYO proxes sport xl).
Every tire dealer online recommends these tires is this correct? can I order them without any issues?.

I bought a 2015 A8L 4T and had the S7 engine mods installed with the APR stage 3 chip tune for 720-wheel HP on the APR dyno, Quatro with 8 speed trans, a modern sleeper. Love the massaging seats. Audi makes a great car if you buy their top 3 models and stay away from the entry level cars. They should bring back the 5-cylinder straight engines again for their 5 series models with turbos

@@SuperWewt No I bought the 8 series and then had APR make it a beast with 740 HP going to all 4 wheels.
      Quattro.
What you do is buy a used 2 year factory leased turn in that has less than 25K miles on it so you SAVE that 35% value drop rolling a new car off the lot!
So I got a 120G Audi out the door for 61G and spent my saved cash on APR modifications and tuning.

I would rate it a 9/10 definitely! Especially Edgar's build looks so nice with those Rotor rims. I love 90's and 00's Audi's... I own a '98 A4 1.8T sedan (Amazing engine for a first car) and I just love the looks of it. The A8 and S8 look very similar up front but that rear end of the D2 is just that little bit nicer, I wish I could afford owning one haha. In my opinion the Audi B4, B5 and the D2 chassis are the best Audi's ever made, both in therms of engines (Not really reliability but more likely the mechanics) and looks, I love them!

I give it a 9/10 only because the steering wheel wasn't in my own taste and it eliminated the fun to use Tiptronic controls. That being said its in way better condition appearance wise than my own S8 but, I don't mean to brag, mines a manual!
I've got a 2001 S8, it's a 6-speed manual swap and yes it is in the rust belt of the United States. A manual transmission really brings this car to life and makes it very fun to drive. 360HP V8, AWD, manual transmission AND more than enough family and friends seating without complaints of leg room....what more could you possibly want in a car?!

Well my dad loves Audis so I might be a little bias but
    8
    8
    5
    3
I know it can be a great car because it was an amazing back in the day. Keyword, back in the day. No one wants to work on the cars and the ones who do either will rob you for driving an Audi or hate themselves...my dad went through both stages and has a mk4 Jetta now. It's still a good car but don't expect it to lasting forever cuz the headaches it gives will kill you first.
Also Alex, I think it would be funny if you reviewed the Avalon there, also because I have the first generation and they're almost identical and think they're pretty nice for a economy Lexus but give it a shot.
