21:36 that sweet K5LA 😍😍😍
I think the K5LA is everyone’s favorite horn
This is the first CoasterFan2105 video I've ever watched. I've greatly enjoyed his content ever since.
1:40 Is my favourite part of the whole video Because I like the horn I also like the city scenery And many more reasons
years later and i still enoy this masterpeace
2:38 nice shot mike!
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection you made. I grew up out there seeing those scenes from the '70's and on. I have missed being there for these reasons. I really liked the angles you used, the variety of lighting, and the coastline, and sound. All of these trains have now evolved with the mergers. It is great to see what they are like now. I could name most of the locations I think, but I agree that getting the real answers from you on where you captured your footage adds additional interest. Thank you. Keep up the great work. All of the trains you filmed are very interesting. Nice catch on the steam too. Just really nice to watch and hear. Awesome railroading going on out there.
Thank you very much, Ron. It's neat to see how things have changed so much over the years. I prefer the older locomotives to what runs today, but they are all cool machines. I now realize that I should have put the locations I filmed at in order in the credits of the video, as it has now been requested by people on several of my videos. I will make a note to do that in the future. Were there any clips in the video in particular that you were curious about? If it was more in general, let me know and I will try to get a location list posted up some time this week.

Cool to see that old EMD yard switchers are still used.
22:21 awesome shot!

trains are AMAZING
My grandfather drove a train. I love train travel. Grew up a few blocks from a railyard. Could hear the trains shunting at night, but always slept very well.
Great video.
Do you know what type of train it was.
9 years away from now still good quality!
I love what you do man so time while I am depressed I watch you and you Cheer me up!
3:59 the driver waved! that's cool
Train drivers like to wave to people watching the train go by, which I think is pretty neat

My kids have watched this several times and really enjoy it. Thank you for putting this out there.
The best spent 33 minutes for a long time, Mike. I hope you had as much fun putting it all together as I sis watching it. I don't know California that well but a couple of subtitles here and there would have helped. But then, that's the foreigner in me!!.
19:21 Ultra nice!
7:48, I love that scene, I want to be there one day. And stand in that exact spot and catch some trains.

Great video, just made me terribly homesick. Especially the shots of the Niles Canyon Scenic and what looked like Hurst, south of Pleasanton.
My twin boys love this video. Thanks for sharing.
17:11 Southern Pacific VS Union Pacific Race!
this has a great shot of the Circus train, i remember seeing Shoreline East Diesels, now theyre mainly electric, but they did fix the 100 year old bridge in Waterford CT, they ended up building a new one they also widened it, the old bridge kept breaking down, one time it was stuck in the open position for a full day before they got it down, i think they had to somehow crank it down by hand
CoasterFan 2105, you rock!
Thanks!!!
8:47 that is El Cajon pass, one of the most dangerous climbs for trains in the world.
at 00:48 the guy on the freight car looks like he's chillaxing :P

I'd say Union Pacific trains 8321 and 5744 were the good catches.
in my home town, I'm used to only seeing Canadian National Locomotives come through, once i saw a Norfolk Southern, a CSX, a few times some BNFSs would come through and some Union Pacifics, twice I've seen Kansas City Southern Locomotives, but mainly Canadian National comes through
Great Video! Keep up the great work - from BDW Trains
From 13:34 to 16:54 I love the circus Express train :-) ;-)
