Thanks for the info! I am missing something on the shimming of the secondary and I hope you can help. At the 15:00 mark, you clearly do not have the helix spring installed. How did you shim the mounting bolt as you illustrated, then install the helix spring with the shimmed bolt in the hole? On my 14 1000, I have to use the compression tool to install the helix spring which goes right where the shimmed bolt is. Thanks!
Hey there! You'll be surprised to hear that the helix spring IS installed at that mark. In fact, I never took it out! The spring has no tension on it when it is out of the machine on this particular model. When you bolt it back on the shaft, that's when the spring is compressed. I believe the clutches were changed in 2016. Perhaps the 2014 is built differently?
