Ive been greasing them with cv joint grease. I like molybdenum type greases. Also figure when a bad boot throws cv joint grease everywhere it’s about the hardest thing to clean off so it ought to stay in there. Also found a big fat oring in one of my kits that I put on the inner spline shaft. Have no idea whether it’ll help yet but it gets squeezed in between the diff and axle enough to hopefully keep stuff out for awhile.

I've never seen an o-ring on an inner spline shaft. That has peaked my curiosity for sure! And yes, if you watch my other videos, Lightning 2.0 had a bad boot and has thrown grease everywhere. What an absolute MESS! We were still dealing with that mess on a trip to Michigan! (video to be released in 2 weeks) So far so good on the East Lake axles. I'm hopeful they will provide a solid 4 years of service like the OEMs did! Thanks for watching, and for the comment!

I'm glad to hear that! I gave mine a beating out on the dunes (video will be released in 2 weeks) and they held strong. No issues so far! Hopefully they give me a solid 4 years like the OEMs did! Thanks for watching, and for the comment!
