I was in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state some months ago. The city is predominantly safe, economic activities ongoing, and infrastructural developments is at an unprecedented level. I felt more secure in Maiduguri than I felt when I was in Abuja, the Nigerian capital. However, the outskirts of the capital can be unpredictable. Insurgents could attack at any time and clashes are on going between security forces and the insurgents. For the 3 months I stayed there, I would say I was very impressed and loved the experience. This channel wasn't biased in what it reported at all....

Borno is a case study in Nigeria. It was the epicenter of BOKO haram in Nigeria but in recent years under the leadership of governor Zulum, insecurity has decreased, schooling rate for children have increased, home ownership of residents are increasing, various infrastructure development that was destroyed by BOKO haram are been rebuilt and businesses have started thriving again. Borno state was featured in Aljazeera some months back that shows the progress the state has and is making.

What most nigerians dont know about the hausa and kanuri people is the fact that they were the original master masons stone builders, city builders and iron/steel workers. You can still see the reminant of it in their knives and spears. These foreign religions has decimated the black race and made them beggar nations of today. If these northern states really put their mind to building, developing anything, most cities in the south would look like a child's play when it comes to design and quality. Kano and maiduguri were once the most beautiful cities in Nigeria at one point.l remember going to kano as a young boy,all the street was lined with dongoyaro trees everywhere, so beautiful. The Wall of kano was a wonder of the world in its day,it runs for over 40 kilometers or so.A bit of it is still there in the old city of kano.l really do hope they get back themselves these our northern brothers and sisters.

I pray African countries don't develop every inch of the land with homes and factories. They must remember to set aside enough land for national parks and wildlife reserves which can also be a source of tourism. Actually all sub Saharan Africa from West Africa to East Africa should lest aside land for Wildlife reserves that can be connected to allow for the national migration of the animals. This would give each country within the connected reserve a wildlife tourist season that matches the national migration pattern of the wildlife. It will create jobs for vets to care for the animals, tour guides, hotels ect.

You see the north has been motivated from the insult rain on them by the southerners, it really helpful. It makes them to rise and do the needful. I think the problem of this country is natural dislike/tribalism. If for once Nigerians will stop hating each other and focus on nation development and love for one another, we will be great and also the corrupt politicians will never win again.
Those corrupt politicians are taking advantage of tribalism and hatred to remain in power and to not been monitored by the citizens about the affairs of government.

I'm very pleased with this video. So that Nigerians can see that even in the North, major projects actually also take place. Yes, there are the federal government projects but some states are also killing it up there.
I visited Gombe city last month. Last time I went there was 2016. And all I can say is that you're hard pressed to see roads that are not tarred in the city. Very good roads with drainages and road markings.
And yes, Borno State is waxing very strong, despite the insecurity the state has suffered for more than 10 years now. Personally, I think Borno State governor might be my best in Nigeria in the current administration as he's able to achieve a lot despite the security situation and the fact that neither the IGR nor the allocation would wow any Nigerian.

Happy to finally see development happening finally in the north. It is is a pity that the region had been grossly neglected by incompetent and greedy administrators in the past who have turned the north into the poverty capital of the world. This is why the region has problems of Almajiri children roaming the streets instead of attending schools, rampant terrorism and poor literacy rate. All consequences of gross government neglect. It is sad to see that some northern governors still have misplaced priorities. How will allocating expensive luxury cars to VIPs benefit the people l wonder?

Oga mind your state. Kaduna has never have a governor like elrufai. Keep reading trash from haters. Insecurity is in other states but its elrufai they single out. The security challenge in birnin gwari alone is 3 time southern kaduna. But elrufai moving on with development. For him it's jobs! jobs! jobs. Our IGR has even overtaken Ogun about 4 billion dollars with of investment has flowed in to the state. The man is trying his best. Only FG can deal with the security problem in kaduna because kaduna forests extent to seven states.

It does not take rocket science to discern or figure out or determine how long these projects have been in existence. Even, private developments like Innoson Motors, did they not threaten and try force him to relocate it to the North?
