You in the car before you went in. I am CRYING. I can't. You're hysterical. Why does he have so many places he goes? He dodgin' malpractice suits? OMG. 😂🤣
Girl you are crazy!! i was laughing so hard throughout this video! Drinking the solution is terrible, so I feel you, but your face was hilarious!! I am still laughing with tears in my eyes as I type this. Then the comments about the doctor in a different building than your friend, whenever I need a good laugh, this video is on playback! Glad everything went well!
O my gosh I just found this video after I did my first colonoscopy this morning. Very informative. Wish I found this last night lol thank you for sharing
This was interesting. I’m 35 and never thought about getting one so soon. And I didn’t know that eating and going to sleep could cause problems in the esophagus!
Yes it was so interesting when they told me and I was like who would think an esophagus is literally inflamed lmao but I’ve been trying to do better about waiting after I eat to nap
I am cracking up watching you drink that solution and burp. I just did my colonoscopy and had to drink Miralax in Gatorade and I will NEVER, NEVER drink Gatorade ever again. LOL. It was a full on event that prep. 🤣😆💩
Loved the video; it was very informative, and no, we're not TOO close. I would've definitely liked to see the photos. I'm happy everything was fine. Is is a PPI that you got for 3 months?
@@KrystalNicole Okay, that's good! A lot of people have to try a few PPIs before they find one that works for them so it's nice that you didn't have to go through that. Did your doctor mention tapering off it when you've completed your 3 months? A lot of people, myself included, had horrible acid reflux like 2 or 3 days after abruptly stopping and I only used mine for 2 months or less, I'm can't really remember.
They have change the age requirements for a colonoscopy and it is also considered preventative care and your insurance should cover it. Also if you have a family history of colon cancer they would do regardless of your age.
They covered the lions share it was just that facility fee that was crazy but I am grateful because once I got the bill I saw that my insurances covered like 80-90% of everything overall
I have been getting colonoscopy since the age 39 and yes the primary will try to dismiss your concerns when you are under 40. I did not need his a referral as some polices require. I went to a GI and I got my procedure done. The reason you paid a copay is because it’s was not routine.
It sounds like IBS which can be treated with a course of rifaximin (for SIBO). Also many people with IBS have unresolved childhood trauma so that can contribute
@@KrystalNicole I've heard! But I had to drink a similar thing for an MRI once. And I barely got it down but I got it down! I've had four surgeries and I've been under anesthesia for all four. And I've cried before all four. I'm really hoping I don't cry before the colonoscopy next month. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Because usually you have a copay, the cost is high if you have a deductible that I see why you had to pay so much.
I had not and I have a very very high deductible because I work fora. small company that covers 100% of the monthly cost so it ends up being a higher deduct

Yes it is! So I am taking it still but it’s been helping for sure

I have been more mindful about eating and it has made a world of difference! Also so crazy but interesting IBS has links to childhood trauma
I have first one next month since I'm 45. Lawd help me...😂
Thanks for the video. 😊
You got this!! It was scary but prep is honestly the worst part!!

That copay had me shook but it was so so worth it
Had you met your deductible before the $2300 price? Just wondering how outrageous of a number to expect at my gi doc.
I had not and I have a very very high deductible because I work fora. small company that covers 100% of the monthly cost so it ends up being a higher deduct
Thank God I didn’t pay anything for my first one. I’m due for my next one in January
yesss because it is costly! Such a blessing yours was covered
Ginger shots took care of my GERD
Interesting! I will try to add those into my routine
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for watching!!
10 years if they don’t find any polyps
Yes I misquoted he did say 10 years so I am grateful for that
