Sketchbook Session 2 | Draw and Chat | Starting a new sketchbook and stressing myself out 🙄😆

New sketchbook and talking about how easy it is to stress out unnecessarily when it comes to making art. Art is supposed to be fun and stress RELEAVING not stress inducing. There's no rules when it comes to art. There's no need to hold yourself back with expectations. Don't expect everything you make to be pretty. The only way to improve is to push yourself and make ugly art. It's arguably impossible to create ugly art as well… it's subjective. Who's to say someone wont love what you think is ugly?
I probably won't be working out of this sketchbook again for a while. I'm still really into working with markers and other wet media. This sketchbook just can't hold up to that much moisture. I did really like this sketchbook though. I'm excited to do more graphite and colored pencil art in it in the future. I'm probably going to switch back to my bigger sketchbook for now though.

@@wildflowersickle I can’t choose 🙈 I’m trying watercolor, gouache, colored pencils and the neocolor 2s. I really should pick one and focus on it though. The overwhelm is real 😅

Yeah it can be overwhelming, it's so much to choose from. I liked markers because the effect it gives and then just started adding medias from there. Try all of them till you find something you like!

You know, I didn't think the third one was that bad either when I watch the video back. I think I was just way to stressed out when I was making it to really see it. I need to start walking away from the sketchbook when that happens 😂
