I am 62 and i wear shorts , dresses, and skirts all the time...our climate is so very hot hitting triple digits during the summer months so i never even think about jeans or long pants during this time, but it is wonderful that you are offering viewers other options...great job!!

Thanks to your video, I took another look at a pair of neutral (stone-coloured) capris I was thinking of retiring to a second-hand clothing shop, which is where I found them originally several years ago. With the styling you showed in the video, I've discovered I can wear them with a lovely soft green crop sleeveless top and a dainty pearl necklace I bought years ago. It's a brand new look and I can't wait to wear the outfit. I also pulled out some navy ankle summer pants and styled it with a white linen blazer I had stored away after I retired. I'm excited to wear those summer classics with some colourful tops that I had not considered with the white and blue pieces. I had not recognized these options till watching your other videos! So, in short, you've provided me with inspiration to pull together several new spring and summer outfits. Thank you so much for your honest, candid delivery. I appreciate how you put together older pieces with new ones.

Love shorts, but four surgeries on my lower leg and ankle due to a car accident 2 years ago changed that. New subscriber!
Maxi dresses are hot in the summer. So many of the options you suggested are hot for the summer. They are ok in air conditioning, Shorts or skirt and knee length summer dress are the best options. 😄
Light cotton and linen maxi dresses, especially if you can unbutton at the bottom are very airy. Shorts or skirt and knee length summer dresses may be the best option for you, but not for everyone.

Ver eat video! I love the denim skirt with pink sweater. I agree about chinos too. I find them cooler than denim jeans although I still love my jeans. I live on the coast so it gets hot so I don't wear linen but I do love the white linen pants.

Here in Louisiana where the heat and humidity can be a killer, the best thing to wear in the summer are Lilly Pulitzer t-shirt dresses. Cool, wrinkle free, and paired with a straw bag and sandals you look suitable for anything.

I have really good legs, but I didn't wear shorts this last summer, I’m not sure why. I suppose it’s because they’re not as comfortable as my skirts and dresses and I discovered comfortable -waist linen trousers this year, which are as cool as shorts and protect from the sun, also. Yes loved all of your suggestions. I already have several of these in my closet from recent years. However my favorite is wearing a short skirt or skort are skorts still in? Also nice that you said knee skimming skirt. Where do you find them? Everywhere I have seen spring skirts coming out have skirts that are way too short for my taste. Please help.
I ordered a black skirt / skort from athleta. It is that stretchy athletic fabric. I ordered it in long (I’m average height) so it hits just above my knees.

Start with getting a little sun tan and use moisturizer everyday use a light weight and you will be surprised how just a little bit of exercise for the arms will make a huge difference. Hope this helps.
Nice options and well presented. Would you mind telling us what size you wear and how tall you are? I'm 5 ft. 4 in but have a long waist and short legs....makes it difficult to style certain items. So glad I found your channel.

I ordered a bunch of midi skirts and I also bought a denim skirt. I’m in Georgia and I want to stay cool and look nice. I haven’t gotten some of them yet. So I’m waiting patiently. I just wear denim Bermuda’s. My thighs look terrible. And I can’t wear denim in the summer. Maybe in the evening when it cools down. The weather here is different in Ohio we I lived for 59 years until moving to Georgia. I came because my grandkids are here. But the evenings seem to cool down and they’re less humid at night. We went to some of the kids games in the evening and I took a jacket. When my oldest granddaughter played ball in the summer. We would go and just swelter at her games. And they were at 9:00 pm. Down here it’s cool by then. The weather people talk about how humid it is, in Georgia. But it’s nothing like the humidity in Ohio. My hair would frizz there. And it’s looking good down here in Georgia. Sorry for being so long. I know you’re from Georgia, and moved to Ohio. And you will find for yourself what I’m talking about. Great video. I love your choices, other than denim during the day.

Skirts are nice because they give u coverage and look like a skirt. Not a caprii or clam digger fan.
I have psoriasis on my legs so can't wear anything but pants, jeans, or maxi dresses.
Well fortunately there are some great, cool options these days. 💕
Now do a shorts video, because that is still the best to wear in summer.
That first dress has stripes going across, which makes you look wider than you are. I wouldn't wear that unless I was very thin. Good options, though.
I thought that was true also, until I tried one on. Surprisingly the dress was very flattering.

I’m really not sure why your choices are being billed as alternatives to shorts. Shorts are shorts. Your options are not. Fine, wear crops or maxi skirts or dresses. I don’t understand your message.
Hmm. I guess I don’t understand yours either. The point is some women don’t want to wear short or they want to wear other things besides shorts during the summer but be cool. These are options. That’s all. There is no message.
NO to capris. So unattractive on women and so out style.
