THE BEST PRODUCTION AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE EVER BUILT!!! I own 3.
Shame on Polaris for stopping production, who knows what they could have done by now.

    Hello from France.
I have a small problem with the sixth gear , it jumps and I fall back to fifth under 130km/h (80 MPH) unless I keep the selector in high position with the foot . According to the dealer it would be the pinion of the 6 which would be worn and very expensive repair 3500 € 😱 . A colleague Victorien , told me that he thought that the concern came according to him from the fork and that it would be easier to change and therefore cheaper . Do you think he is in the truth ? Thank you and long live Victory, I have been in love with My Vision since May 2011. She has 66486 miles to date. Sorry for my English, but I am obliged to pass by translation it is like me, not very young lol.

I dont want water cooling but what do you mean (in our power class) ? would water cooling increase power? Also Why cant I see what gear im in untill the clutch is out?

look at a bike like the Triumph Rocket or any crotch rocket... he ment power class as in these low power v-twins... the most expensive way to turn fuel into noise lol.

I said the same thing to a victory representative once about the clutch gear indicator I said it's probably my biggest complaint about the bike and he said he hears that all the time

disconnect the wire going to clutch lever . You will be able to see gear until you come to complete stop. Doing this will allow gear to still be seen if moving and clutch is pulled in. Only downfall is this, if you stall it in gear, you can't just pull in lever and hit start button. You MUST be in neutral to start bike.

Victory uses a math formula to calculate gear position based on rpm and speed. If you pull in the clutch they don't let the ECM do the calculation.
Next time you are riding try pulling the clutch just enough to let the engine rpm climb, you will see the gear indicator change even though you didn't shift.......

Hah, I was wondering why it did that. Just bought my bike a few days ago and haven't researched why I get a "--" when I pull the clutch in.

Polaris messed up. Over time, the R&D costs go down as the production sales go up. So, the Victory 106 cost were going down as sales numbers increased. After a certain point, the break even is past by sales numbers. So, Polaris could have started to drop the prices by "changing" the model names and not changing the bikes. A Victory Vision "Muscle" could have replaced the "Street" model and the cost could have went down, thereby, increasing sales via a lower cost product. Polaris really messed up when they got rid of the Vision and the Cross Country models... Too bad, they were great bikes and now (2020) the prices are increasing on the used market.

Polaris are a marketing genius. In 2025 they will re-launch the Victory motorcycle brand with a thunderous re-entry. They just want to establish the Indian brand first.

@@niuleni I hope so. But, I checked the "Magic 8 Ball" and it said, "Outlook not good", whatever that means! Take care....
