I was just able to finally buy my victory (2013 zach ness xc) found her at a little hole in the wall shop in okc. Absolutely love this bike, will never sell her. I have been having some issues finding stuff for her though lol.
I've had Lloydz VM1(501) cams in my XC for years. Originally I had it tuned with a PC-V by Dyno Solutions(now closed) in Brookfield, CT. The tune was okay, but the power was very peaky, very noticeable kick around 4500rpms. I thought this was just how the cams ran. Last summer the PC-V bit it, so I had a Maximus remote tune done by Noe Martinez. This completely changed how the power feels and how the engine runs. First, there's no more coughing and low rpm stalling, it starts easier also. The power spread is more even, it pulls harder with a nice even curve all the way to 6k, no more waiting for a kick in the pants. I liked it so much, I decided this year to treat the bike to a full suspension upgrade; Traxxion Dynamics AK-20 cartridges and a Penske 8900E shock 😎
Great video! I just got back into cycling and bought a moto guzzi California 1400 about 8 months ago and think I’ve outgrown it. Looking at the victory cross country 2015-17 and really appreciate all the information and videos available.
You guys really know your stuff, Good job! I`m intimidated about taking the seat and tank off to clean my Lloydz air filter🤣 Wish me luck. Love my XCT, Always appreciate anything Victory keep those great bikes on the road😎
I would still have no problem buying a vic regardless of polaris shutting down the line. That 106 was just done right and most of the bikes look pretty good. If I came across the right numbers on a xc I'd scoop it tomorrow
The X1s are sharp, I'm sure you'll continue to love it. I had a highball with a lot of "dyna" styling in mind. Loved that bike. Be sure to check out some more of our Victory content and subscribe! Thanks for watching. th-cam.com/video/t_c1Jm6BO3g/w-d-xo.html
Hey guys. Love the videos and keeping the Victory family going. Thank you for that. Quick side question. What table lift do you have and where did you get it from?
Great video, thanks!!! Victory XC owner! I love my Vic. I saw you had tha adjustable timing too. Do you recommend that with this cam job? Keep coming with Victory videos!!
Hey guys nice video, I have the same bike and would like to do this to my bike. Is that something you guys can do or do you only work on your own bikes?
Great Video...l Just bought all the Victory Cross Country upgrade parts. 505 cams, air intake, timing wheel & PCM 5. Did u guys make an after video? Can't wait to get these parts installed.
Thanks for watching. We did not make an after video, but we do have some other victory videos in the channel. Good luck it will be a completely different machine when you’re done !
I love my Victory. I'm considering purchasing a bagger. I won't ever sell mine but I'm a little skeptical about purchasing a cross country because they're not made anymore.
Would it be possible to get the program that you are running in your tuner. I have the 505 cams in hand that I want to install before heading to Sturgis next week. 1 I have already installed the air cleaner, timing wheel, air idle valve and a set of Vance and Hines slip ons. Just scared no one will touch the bike to tune it because I have a EJK tuner. I will buy a Power commander 5 if I can get your tune.
I'm not sure where we have any of our tunes saved. I know the victory forums on Facebook are a great resource, you probably can find one there. Otherwise, I know a lot of guys have been moving to the Maximus tuners which allow for remote tuning.
That's tough to say. Lloydz installed a first set for me in about a half day with the dyno tune. That was some time ago before we ended up doing a few sets ourselves. I imagine someone who doesn't work on Victory specifically would take longer.
Thanks for watching, but we are not an actual shop. Just a couple guys always wrenching on our own stuff. You can check with llyodz Motorworks in NY, otherwise a lot of the victory guys have been doing remote tuning with the maximus tuner.
So the only victory mechanic within 50 miles of me said there is no way you can do a cam job without pulling the entire motor which is very pricey. Correct me if I'm wrong but you guys clearly didn't have to pull the motor right? I couldn't hear exactly what you said about not having clearance in the rear cylinder
I love that our beloved Vics are seeing so much love in the last couple of years! I just can't see ever getting rid of my 2013 CC!
All three of us own victory’s. No intentions of selling them. Thanks for the comment , we’ll keep the victory stuff coming !
I won't ever sell my 13 boardwalk

We’re curious to hear how you like the suspension!
@@3_AM ... Don't worry I'm sure I will be causing you to spend more money soon 🤣

Just bought a 2015 victory magnum x1. So thoroughly impressed. Ready to swap out my dyna with a victory too at this point.

When you lock the crank with a pin or what ever, there are 2 holes and you must use the correct one for the front and rear cylinder.

This is so good to see
what are the torque specs for tightening down the valve covers?
Considering buying a CC, what exhaust are you running?

Get a Cross Country you won't regret it.

Is the 505 the drop in, cam party cam? If so, I have those
The 505 is a drop in cam, as for what LLyodz or others have done at cam parties I cant say.
how much should labor be on a cam switch in 2024?? ballpark

If a customer rides from Michigan for a dyno tune, what kind of price and timeframe can I expect? Do you tune on Sunday’s?

@@3_AM I already have a PC5
Maybe you can schedule a dyno tune at llyodz then.
Hey I’m also from ct with two victory’s looking to do the same to both … do u guys take customers or only personal stuff
Thanks for watching. We prefer to only work on our own stuff. But if you have any questions you can also find us on Facebook and Instagram.
Where are you guys located. I have s Victory Magnum and want something similar.
We’re out of CT
Does it have a noticeable difference in sound?
@@3_AM now if I can just find camshafts, the back order nightmare is all over the hotrod and bike world. Thanks for the reply.
@@LeftForDeadGarage you got that right brotherr
what exhaust is that
Those are gutted stock pipes , he just hadn’t put the tips on yet !
Sick
Wana sell the fairing on your highball??
No sorry , waited way too long for that thing !

Your mechanic is dead wrong!
Sounds like he doesn't want to do it or have the skills set for the job.
I did my cams myself, in 2.5 hours. Your “mechanic” is BSing you.
Awesome video!
