    Thank you for the video great job. What do you do if the tension is not what it needs to be? Thanks again!

      Hey Alex, Thanks for watching! If your belt is not at the correct tension, it just needs to be adjusted. I'll be making a video of that process in the next week or two, but if you can't wait for that, the information on how to do it is in the manual.
      Assuming your belt is aligned right, you should just need to use the screws on the back side of the swing arm to adjust it tighter or looser. You'll need to loosen the axle bolt and brake caliper bracket bolt as well. Make sure to pay attention to the amount of turns as well as the hash marks on the side of the frame when adjusting to be sure to get both sides adjusted evenly. Exhaust may be in the way on the right side, so it may require that to be removed as well. Be sure to tighten back all bolts to torque specs when finished.
      Hope that this helps if you're not able to wait for the video to come out. Thanks again for watching and any other questions, please feel free to ask.

      @@RSWarriorBryan Do u do this with the bike in neutral?

    • @RSWarriorBryan
      @RSWarriorBryan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would do it in neutral. It'll also make it easier to roll around because you'll want to do it in four spots because it won't be the same the whole way around.

      @@RSWarriorBryan what about adjusting it, neutral as well?

    Hi Bryan! Did you have ever break the drive belt? My bike has near 12000 miles, and I'm going to travel. Don't know whether to take a spare belt...

    • @RSWarriorBryan
      @RSWarriorBryan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, I haven't ever broken a belt on either Warrior. They're pretty tough, and at 12000 miles your belt should still have a lot of life left. That said, if you plan on riding much on gravel, or anything like that, you run the risk of pebbles getting between the pulley and belt and that can cause a premature break. Under normal conditions, I wouldn't worry too much about your belt for now, unless something abnormal happens causing a break.

      Hey, thanks for subscribing and watching the video! Gotta compliment you on your bike. I've seen it and it's definitely a beautiful machine.
      This is the link to the actual one I bought. If you look in the video, I had to use a hacksaw to cut off the front part to get it to fit to measure the tension through the belt guard.

      Here's is a link to one without the front part, but not sure if it's still too wide to fit or not. Both are pre set to ten lbs of pressure, so either one would work.

      @@RSWarriorBryan do u have to Jack the bike up to do this?

    • @RSWarriorBryan
      @RSWarriorBryan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not necessary at all. The bike will have different specs on the tension whether the bike is on a lift or on the ground. I did this one without a lift, so the specs in this video would be perfect for you.

    Is the rear wheel elevated when you are taking these measurements? Should you not want to perform these measurements with someone sitting in the bike?

      Just bought my Ist warrior Sept., I am new to owning a belt drive bike, mine is an 08 midnight warrior only has 4000 miles on the clock. Have watched all your videos and seems like you are the guru on warriors. Presently have Bridgestone Battlax tires and I believe these are the original tires and they are quite worn, what do you recommend for a higher mileage set , appreciate any help
