- 23hp Kohler GD Long Tail running crawfish trails in the swamps of Pierre Part just south of Natchez Bay. Video ends in southern reaches of Natchez bay, starts in the swamps leading to the spillway levee.
The beer at the beginning made the video. I've always wanted something to drive way out in the middle of the swamp and just sit back and drink a few and listen. Now I need to start saving my money. There is a ton of swamp and wetland around me, this is a better choice than a 4 wheeler.
The only better choice is what makes the user happy. It's totally dependent on the user's case. For us, it's a GD longtail - for others, maybe not so much. Dabble a little and find your sweet spot. Once there, you'll never look back.
@YouKnowWhoTheBand Only ready looking on Facebook marketplace for something simple to get started. Thanks, have a good one.
Thanks for the ride brother.
I live in the desert. That environment is so foreign to me, but looks awesome. Enjoyed the video.
Glad you enjoyed the video! And the swamp is like the desert in one important way: it's extremely easy to get turned around and lose your bearings.
@@GoDevilGod Yah watching you cruise through there I was wondering how the hell you knew which way was "out."
@@GoDevilGod fun as hell but tough so go through these runs but normal for us down here, this is nice swamp it can get real sticky and rough
I used to hunt in the acid water behind the Lula-Westfield sugar mill. Thanks for the vid. Missing home.
You're certainly welcome. Additionally, when you make it home, you're more than welcome to come for a ride, maybe you could show me the acid water behind the sugar mill.
I grew up not far from there, in Bayou Pigeon. Living in the north Arkansas Ozarks now.
Oh man! We crawfish around Bayou Pigeon and Bayou Sorrel. Thanks for watching! Just finished building my new crawfish skiff and got a new motor for it, too. Stick around for the drop video and stay awesome!
C'est Louisiane mes amis partout . Bateau dans marais est bon temps ! Bonjour de 504.
watched from Iowa. TY!
Thank you for watching!
Wow this is really cool.
We dont really have anything like this where I am from in Southeast Alaska.
There is great jetboating and rivers here, but not like this!
Take a special kind of man to survive this type of stuff
If you have to spend the night out there at least you got some weed. 🤣👍
Looks like a couple of trails I would have some fun in
I know she knows we've been talking about it.
Go devil is a winner 🏆
That’s crazy. I live in Houma and I work on tugboats we pass through Pierre part All the time. You ever seen those light blue tugboats?
Hell yeah I've seen them! That's you?
@@GoDevilGod that’s the company I work for, you may have seen one of our boats, the Mia kate, it pushes one pressure barges, I work on one of the 2400hp boats
I’m in Chalmette. Use to deliver groceries over there. Btw great driving.
Nice! That sounds like a sweet gig! Thanks for commenting brother!
Have you ever ridden the older xb's ? How's it compare they were so nice to ride
Привет из России! Сибирь форева! 2:49
I don't know what that means, but thank you!
I would be completely lost 5 minutes in. I guess gps is quite helpful out there.
No signal out there lol
I imagine that is some insane duck hunting in there
Unfortunately, no. The hyacinths and invasive giant silvania block most of the water. I've heard of some people getting woodies out there, but who knows what's true. I've hunted there twice and been skunked both trips.
Sounds like you're riding a Harley through the swamps
Thank you - open headers lol
Looks like Quarantine been good
Been great! Lol
Thinking of getting the go devil with the honda 9 to go on my 1436. Sweet rig you have there.
Ma dat look like my back yard!! How come you didn’t stop by the house?
I did! You were the one that marked the trail that leads to the bayou this was filmed on right before I head that way. This was filmed a few months after I caught those two big catfish when I was tightlining near that bridge past the Rue Da Kajun house - when you taught me what being "shackaid" is. And I definitely was that day me
Parabéns, isso aí é que é curtir a natureza. 👏👏👏
Probably a stupid question...but what are the blue/pink bottles?
Not stupid at all - those are noodles for catfishing. They've got weights and hooks on them. Just throw them out while you're moving through the water. After fishing a little while, go back and pick them up. Sometimes you get really lucky, and they just sit and do the fishing for you while you're out boat riding.
@@GoDevilGod Brilliant!! Thanks for the reply.
Dats jugs hoss
Is long tail or surface drive better ?
Depends on the user's preference and use cases.
@@GoDevilGod longtails seem like they would be lighter weight. And less moveing parts.
Nice!
Me I wonder if there's fish worth fishing for here, this guy I wonder if I can take my boat threw here.
Is that the crawfish model,,short one,, what’s the diameter of the shaft,,I got a crawfish model ,,short one-with the 3/4 inch shaft was thinking of putting a 22hp on it,,
No this is the regular size and version of Go Devil Manufacturing's longtail frame.
I would not like to break down in there and spend the night.no sir.fuck that
How deep is the water where you were Hauling Ass Through?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What was you pointing at up in the sky or tree at the beginning of video
There was an owl watching me, if you pause the video you can make out its silhouette. Very well camouflaged.
@@GoDevilGodlol,,I knew you pointed at sometjing
Giving thanks for the
Brew😉
Ohh man I would love to go duck hunting there
Isn't boating and drinking Illegal????
Open containers are allowed in Louisiana, so long as you don't blow over .08, a boat operator is allowed to drive and drive. It's so cool, love it here.
Only if u get caught
@@robertcampbell3900 No, it's legal for a boat operator to drink while operating. If you get stopped and blow over a .08 - then you're in trouble. However, if you don't, it's 100% legal to have an open container in your hand while operating a vessel in Louisiana. Been on the water my whole life, have many friends at LDWF, they have repeatedly confirmed this to my amusement.
What prop size are you running
9" x something. It's a stock GoDevil prop
What size boat
14x48
What hp motor
23hp Kohler Command Pro
@@GoDevilGod what size boat and what speeds are you getting I’m considering getting a 23 hp go devil or backwater for my 1542 tracker topper
@@davidcarter1372 with just me and an ice chest it'll get to 23-25mph. I also have after market exhaust and built carb which helped a lot when I first installed them.
Cool vid till you hit a vape
