I'm up in Citrus and I want to build almost exactly what you have. I'm having trouble finding a 14' ribbed jon boat for a price I'm willing to pay. I'd like to find one in good shape, in someone's backyard with weeds growing around it. Maybe for 3 or 4 hundred $...There are guys around here asking $1,000+ plus for a boat. it's ridiculous.
I bought a 1436 game fisher in great shape w/ a mint trailer, with both titles for $800 a few weeks ago. I had to drive 2 hours. It can be done, just have to look and message everyone on market place.
I saw an old beat up 1448 listed for 4,500. He said “this boat is very hard to find”. Fast forward a couple months. He brought the price down to 1000. Just gotta wait till they realize they can’t sell at such an absurd price.
@@floridawrangler I finally got one. I've been stripping the paint all day today. I'll end up decking the, flooring the rest, wiring and painting it. The Swamp Runner medium kit will be ordered in 2 weeks. This boat should be in the Citrus waters by late spring. Love your vids.
@@DHoppey10 that would chop it up for sure. Long tails can be over powered for boat size due to their almost perfect weight balance once on the transom
