That would be ideal but at higher speeds the wake starts so far back so it’s not realistic. The longer the shaft the more of a hassle it is but you gain more speed because the prop is at a flatter angle in the water

I'm kind of new to long tails and doing research looks like his props falling just short of the wake x in the back would a longer tail be better?

What kind of hull do you have this motor on.It is cool you can stay on plane with the propller on the surface.
It’s most likely a flat bottom boat mainly used for duck hunting will run shallow and over fallen trees without puncturing the hull
