Lol! Delaware is a great state! Haven Lake is a fun place to fish. The siren is to alert the volunteer firemen of a fire so they can get to the firehouse and go put out the fire. You can stealth at Cracker Barrel, Lowes, Home Depot downstate, and a couple of Walmarts upstate. An inexpensive place to camp is Redden State Forest, be sure to take the tick spray if hiking in Redden. Great kayaking on the ponds at DE State Parks including Lums and Trap Pond where you'll find one of the most ancient cypress forests in the US. Cape Henlopen State Park is a nice place to visit, nice beach and dunes. Lewes (pronounced Lewis) and Rehoboth are cute towns to visit. You can kayak Canary Creek in Lewes on high tide and see osprey, herons, eagles, etc. You can kayak off of Tower Rd bayside and go along the coast of Delaware National Seashore down to Burton Island. Steer clear of the Indian River Inlet...much too dangerous for kayaking. Visit again so you can enjoy Delaware, "The Small Wonder". :)
Lovely place. Wonderful life. Congrats on the anniversary and video milestone. Thoreau would be proud and jealous. BTW, he also hit 2 years at Walden! You’re in good company.
Delaware is very unfriendly to van life, I found this out while doing drawings for a renovation on a few McDonalds there, I would stay in my van in the parking lots while I was working, one night I was working late on exterior measurements on the roof of the McDonalds and saw a cop car pull in next to my van, by the time I got off the roof and over to my van I had a very nasty notice from the police that said I can’t stay there and will be towed away.
Nice. AT is cool! Where did you shower at the gas station?. Did you compare the ford transit to the Benz Sprinter? Why Transit over Sprinter. Maybe you can do a vid on that. Thanks!
@@undertheradarvan I prefer the Transit to. The earlier Sprinters just seem under powered. The new 2L is suppposed to have more HP, but still does not come close to Transit. And yes - service centers and available parts are huge values. So cool that you custom built your own coach! I do think the Coachmen is a solid build. So your cost was $80 for the van and $40 for the build? So you spent $120 anyway?
It has enabled me to bring kayaking into my life so it is absolutely worth it if you want that and live in a vehicle. If you have a house then just get a regular one, it’ll be more comfortable to sit in probably.
Air raid siren? That fire sirens my guy for firefighters lol. love ur adventurous spirit
Air Raid Siren.. LOL It's a siren for the local Fire Company
It's fun to see other people enjoy stuff that I think is special. Thanks for the cool video my guy!

Delaware Water Gap is not in Delaware. It's not even near Delaware.
As soon as I heard the siren I knew what it was and then the Federal Qs sealed the deal lol
@@vetstadiumastroturf5756true, but he is heading to Delaware to get on the water.

Stealth camping in the park when there's legit camping right across the river.
Not sure where you are referring to, the Tammany trailhead parking?
@undertheradarvan
Worthington state forest campgrounds.

Delaware Water Gap is in Pennsylvania.
@@Trish-j2y And/or New Jersey.
@@Trish-j2y did you watch the video, he even put up a map of where in Delaware he was headed

maybe put a sign in the dash?

Showered in my van. I opted for the transit due to the omnipresence of service centers. Breakdowns happen in the road all the time.

How many batteries are in your rig to power all the high tech lights inside?
I have a 540Ah bank but the lights are 5V USB with 01A draw, very low power draw
How do you like the Oru Kayak?
I’ve seen ads for them and comments are always quick to say they’re expensive for what they are.
