Perspective: This performance basically launched Dimash's international career. Note... the audience clapped when he came out on stage, not for him, but because a much looked for Chinese singing competion called 'The Singer', which pits professional singers against each other and allows the theatre's audience to choose each nights winner, was finally kicking off. Dimash was brought in as a complete unknown. Notice that the other singers, backstage, gently laugh amongst themselves as they watch Dimash accept the initial applause as if it was for him only, rather than a collective applause for the competion. Then Dimash did THAT! Were I you, I'd move chronologically through his eleven 'The Singer' performances to watch the evolution of the young man who I truly believe to be the greatest vocal artist alive today. His next performance in 'The Singer' is titled 'Opera 2.' Its a fun romp, and I'm betting it will leave you smiling for hours after you finish reacting to it. (His last name is pronounced 'koo-DYE'-eh-Bairg-en.' See: not so tough.)
It is French. He sings in like 12 languages, plays various instruments, writes, produces. Vocal range....out of this world!

I just got to say that you've just been Dimashified! Dimash is a 25 year old singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Kazakhstan. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, still learning Mandarin and English and he sings in 12 different languages. What you just watched, he was in a singing competition for established singers in China about 2 years ago and Dimash was a wildcard, completely unknown to the audience and other contestants. Unexpectedly for him (from what he said in interviews), this performance right here was his ticket to worldwide fame. Je became an overnight sensation in China because of this performance. Currently he's 25 years old and now have a huge fanbase from about 120 countries (I thinks its safe to say from all over the world) . His most recent concert which was held in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan was attended by 45,000 fans (if I read right) from about 65 countries. His range is F2-D8 and he is the type of artist that you cant put in a box. He pretty much mixes different styles of vocal and music (opera, pop, rock, rap, folk etc.). Its hard to suggest which song by him you should watch next because they're all amazing. I would probably suggest all the episodes in this competition or jump to his very recent performance which is mind blowing called Passione (Italian). The next episode in this competition is called Opera 2. Great reaction by the way. Thank you!

It's French. He speaks Kazahk and Russian, and has been learning English tha past year or so. he sings in a dozen languages :) Most of his songs can be found with English subs. For The Singer performances I recommend Gloria Wu's vids - she has Eng subs and gives a short backstory on the songs, which really adds to the experiuece on songs like Daididaou and Autumn. He's from Kazakhstan, and is not a native French speaker; they speak Russian there!! Larynx placement, breathe control, and a mastery of his own vocal folds!! He is regarded by most as the best living male voice on Earth!!
Not only is his voice supreme but this song is a great (albeit, notoriously difficult), and well known song in it's own right. I'm very particular about an artist's song choice. Another really great song that he does is Sinful Passion (Sochi performance). He's a little older, his lower voice is even richer, the song is bigger, and it's a masterful performance!
This is from the Chinese reality show called The Singer which took place in 2017 when Dimash was 23. The next song in the contest is Opera 2. Many more although he didn’t win. Song choices and vocal cord problems did him in. The rest of the songs are easy to find. He’s also done some concerts. Search GAKKU and Bastau. GREAT songs at each of them. They speak Kazakh in Kazakhstan. He has a 6+ octave range. The lower registers are much richer and deeper now -- this video in 2 yrs old. He sings in 12 languages -- the French you hear in this song, English, Mandarin, Turkish, German, Italian, Uzbek, Russian, Kazakh, Krygyz (Kyrgyzstan), Spanish, and Serbian. He has been training since he was 5 yrs old. His mother is an opera singer. He classically trained as well as many other genres. He loves Michael Jackson. WELCOME to the STUNNING WORLD OF DIMASH. Phonetic last name -- sort of -- is Koo-die-BURG-inn. Unless he is on a Russian show in which case at the syllable 'nov' to the end. Yes the song is in French. In Kazakhstan I believe they speak Russian, so this is not his primary language he is singing in. Great reaction. Dimash is top notch.

He has trained since he was 5, sings F2 to D8 so far, he is always improving, can hold a note with vocal runs for over 22 seconds, again so far. Is highly educated, his family is very musical and he is a multi instrumentalist, composer and songwriter. There is no one like him in the world, truly a master vocalist and philanthropist, he has high morals and is a very nice human being. He was only 22 when he performed on the Chinese show Singer 2017 (incredible show) and now at 25 he is even better? He is the best I have ever heard. Please continue with Dimash. Try Dimash, Sinful Passion. He is singing in Russian but has subtitles and yes it will blow you away. Opera 2 will shock you. He also did a cover of Lionel Richie's " Hello" in English which made me say, Lionel who? Hard for me because I love Lionel.

He is university trained in classical as well as in contemporary music and is known for his wide vocal range of 6 octaves, from D2 to D8 (and 6 octaves and 5 semitones, from A1 to D8, with vocal fry). This spans from the bottom of the bass range beyond the top of the soprano range. Thank you for your reaction, and welcome to the dimension that holds Dimash! He is a phenomenon! As been said, this was two years ago when he participated in Singer in China. He became an overnight sensation there. A few days after this show aired he had to visit the bazaar in China as part of a participant documentary. He walked out of the hotel and there were guards waiting for him, both he and the guards were perplexed. When he stepped out of the car at the bazaar they all understood. LOL I suggest you start with the videos from Singer2017. If you go to Gloria Wu TH-cam channel you can find his performances from Singer2017 with English translations and stories about the songs he sings, as well as some of the backstage things that went on. He has a multitude of recent performances on his TH-cam including his latest concert in Nur-Sultan Kazakhstan in June. Pick any of the videos you find, but please stay away from the videos from The World's Best. Those are heavily edited and you miss all that he is, and it ended up being a horrible show that treated him terribly. I've seen this vid 50 times, at least. Goosebumps every single time! There is no person like him. The language is irrelevant. I am transported by his expressiveness, the music assaults my senses. He is defenetly from the 5th dimension.Ihave seen it minimum a hundred times but I just keep crying. Of course you are speechless. He sings on minimum 6 different languagea. His french pronunciation is quite good. He speaks kazakhstani language. Kazakhstan one of the biggest country in the world. It is in Asia close to Russia and China. He was only five when he started to learn to sing. He practised minimum 3 hour a day. Plays on minimum 5 different instuments extremely well. He is very humbled. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a composer. I like to watch this kind of reaction videos, I love to see people first reaction, what is the same as mine was the very first time: My heart almost stopt, I couldn't even breathing. My jaw was dropped and i have listend and listend him for hours. There is no way to miss out one day! I really go crazy for his exceptional talent.

It's a French song composed in the 70's for the musical comedy Starmania. Dimash doesn't speak french at all but he learnt the song phonetically. This 22yo guy is just fantastic.
