Your bias is showing. I don't distrust Olight simply because it's made in China. There are several Chinese lights Ive used that have been solid, none of them were Olights. Every single Olight Ive owned has either had issues or broken at some point.
@@justified_edc I have many cheap flashlights and many not so cheap. All my weapon lights are streamlights as are my work lights (the stinger is a fave). I bought one o-light, a warrior mini I think, and the thing is like a pocket nuke. It gets so hot it will burn bare skin or a hole through fabric and is a fire hazard for fuel cell inspections in my line of work. There's a reason o-light is such a shit on meme in the gun community because of issues like melting foregrips to name one example.
Nice edc set up. I’m currently carrying Glock 43x All OEM including mags and a Taurus 605 Poly performance .357 on ankle and got plight pen light and a skeletool for multi tool also got the same portable foldable cord you have for charging. They come in handy just wish they were a little longer. Also Civivi elementium and Civivi M2 fixed blade back up and some Pepper spray. And the basics keys etc. makes for a good little set up
Sounds like a solid setup man! And I agree with you that I wish the keychain charger had just an inch or two more length sometimes. They make full length cables with those multi-connectors but maybe they’ll eventually do some inbetween sizes 🤞🏼
I believe the charging cable is made by a company called rolling square. Very good video, love seeing other people’s edc loadout just to see if I can refine mine or if I missed something important to me. Looking forward to seeing the next one. 👍
I have the stream light stinger and that surefire is the closest thing to a compact version I have now seen. I'm going to have to look into getting one, I have a wedge but it sometimes doesn't do what I want it to do and the stinger is too bulky sometimes for a night edc but I keep it with me still.
Funny you should ask, a couple EDC update videos back on my channel I discussed that very thing because I had just had surgery on my right hand. Thankfully this time when I cut myself it healed within a few days.
Came across your videos looking for pocket friendly fixed blades. You are doing a great job with your videos. One suggestion, specifically for pocket friendly fixed blades, maybe add a quick measurement of the knife inside the sheath, such as overall width, length and maybe thickness. Usually I can get a general idea of the sheath size from the knife and by pausing the video and using the background mat to measure. Keep up the good work, thanks for sharing your experiences and EDC gear.
The talon does look nice, just hard for me personally to justify the $50 price tag for a carabiner that I won’t even use the other “tool” functions it has. For someone who doesn’t carry a multitool I can see it being great tho
My EDC hasn't changed in 10 years! 1 pistol, 1 reload, 1 OC spray, 1 folder, & 2 hand lights. 1 Tactical the other utility. No dot/light on pistol. All carried the same way every day, every season! The only change, add small fixed blade!
I dont undertand why so many items for edc , i with a vic piooner or a compact multitool , flashlight and ballpen can go anywhere. In my opinion edc means simplicity.
Because my day to day needs are different than yours. Why even bother watching other peoples EDC videos if you're just going to complain that they carry different stuff than you?
Yeah I remember when they came out with all the magnetic charging stuff and at the time I was still on the olight hype train and then I started carrying them and the magnet was just more annoying and in the way than it was convenient.
I love the reasons gun guys give for certain things. Im a big gun person but laugh at some of the reasoning most people have. Im not trying to be an ass im just giving my opinion since i dont have a channel. Fighting knives - dumb term. Inmates get the job done with toothbrushes. A flipper is completely fine for defense since ur probably never going to use it for that reason. Surefire - overpriced and theres options that are better for cheaper. Just my two cents. Cool video
There are situations like a clinch/ground fight where introducing a gun into the situation is a terrible idea. I'd like to see you get a folding knife with a flipper out in that sort of entanglement. Try some force on force training and come back to me with that opinion. A gun and a knife are different tools for different circumstances. "You'll probably never use it" is a terrible argument for carrying a sub-optimal tool. That statement is always funny to me coming from anyone who carries a gun on a daily basis considering the entire premise of needing to use a gun "will probably never happen" to most of us, yet we carry in preparation for the idea that the worst can and may happen. Also, surefire lights are the gold standard for weapon lights that have a proven track record of duty use. Sure there are cheaper options such as streamlight that work just fine, but anything below that such as Olight or Inforce should not be viable options. I like my X300U and see no reason not to carry it because I already own it and it works fantastic.
@@justified_edc i train not to need weapons at all. Thats another gun guy thing. I dont need a tactical pen or tactical knife. People watch too many movies. I'm sure the Arkfield is great...when it's working. I've owned a lot of Olights, they often have great features and specs. But sooner or later they all break or stop working. Thats just my person experience. If you wanna buy an ollight, go for it. But I won't recommend gear on my channel that I have had poor experiences with.
I have the Arkfeld and it’s honestly nowhere near as powerful or convenient. It has an unnecessary squared off end on that that makes it unfriendly to the pocket

Surefire has upgraded the stiletto pro too to USB C
Check out the Three Sons Leather key organizer. Absolutely perfect size!
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check it out 👊🏼
Look into the Medford ASK or sometimes Emerson has a multi tool available
I used to have an Emerson multitasker. That was a cool one

I’ve had several recycled firefighter wallets and bags that I’ve liked so I’ll check that out. Thanks!
Where did you get the glow in the dark o-rings for the TRM Neutron 2?
I bought the knife on the secondary market and it came with an assorted bag of o-rings. I think you can get them directly from TRM but I’m not sure
Where did you get the twisted tea beads from?
Zero Feud
When you cut yourself, could you still use the hand? If you didnt have the use of one of your hands, how would your EDC change?

I have several olights never once had a problem either.
I feel like you would’ve liked the streamlight wedge xt if they could’ve got it up past 500 lumens
Huh, honestly I didn't know the XT existed, I thought it was only the model with just the side switch. I'll have to check that out.

Some things like the knives rotate but yes I carry this stuff daily. A good belt helps
Get the mono carbon and put it through your belt and then clip your keys to it while they hang inside your pocket
