Hey Dom, nice video, I like solar watches too and have been carrying the Casio solar for 10 years and have had no issues with it. It has had a lot of hard use, but it still ticks so I still wear it. My knife and multitool hasn’t really changed with carrying an old Leatherman PST that my dad gave me and carrying the Victorinox Camper which has recently upgraded to the ROXON KS2 which is great since I wanted a multitool that gave me scissors without becoming much thicker. Thanks for all your work and am looking forward to those watches to get a nicer one for different purpose.
Always enjoy your content. As I have said in the past I am a minimalist when it comes my baseline EDC. The tool set that cover 90%+ of daily needs are a blade of some sort. Philips and flathead, scissors, file and bottle opener. Anything, else on the multitool is extra. Add a flashlight, pepper spray and some very basic first aid stuff and that rounds it out. I fill out my kit based on need of the day. I have a backpact full of stuff including a full first aid kit in my car. I own 2 Spydercos and would never have thought to own another, but you're such a darn good salesman that I'm thinking about that Para 3 now. Also, I was taunted by your question mark taped-up package.
I work in psychiatric care at a hospital. For safety reasons, carrying a knife, something I always have on me outside of work, is not an option. One of my responsibilities is ordering supplies for our unit, and so I open a lot of packages. That Nite Ize Doohickey has come to be one of my most useful and most used tools. That edge is just sharp enough to open boxes easily, but not sharp enough to break skin.
The deep dark color of that Vaer diver is amazing 👍😲 38mm is the sweet spot for your wrist. Watch content is great, but you can get lost in it. You've got a pretty heavy upload schedule as it is. As an occasional feature though it would compliment well.
In addition to this, keep it to tool watches (and mostly quartz if possible). Most of the content out there seems to be mechanical watches that are super inaccurate and more expensive to boot...

The OCLip really surprised me. It's smaller than I realized and does everything I need day to day. Having the clip and the magnet is so useful. It lives in my pocket now
Keyport looks like they are worth checking out. The Wazoo Viking spark and victorinox explorer are my favourite recent additions/replacements to my EDC. Also really liking the Acebeam Pokelit AA.
Instead of an Arkflex, I just went Boruit v20 and then dog walks and outside in general I stopped using the Olight Seeker 4 Pro and just use a cheap Wurkkos TS22. I'm finding these cheaper options work 90% as well for 30% the cost.
About flashlights: I've been looking for a nice 90° angled flashlight to hook on my collar and have hands free lighting (since I never wear hats). The arkfeld flex looks great, as well as wuben x3, but unfortunately budget is low. Any recs?
They flashlight attachment for the key organizer is brilliant. I've been wondering why combo flashlights are so rare or else awful, like the few Victorinox knives with mini lights. For casual minute or so usage, most EDC flashlights are major overkill. But something attached to a key organizer or SAK that's actually, you know, good would be perfect to always have on you.
I wish they would have some type of light like this for the Roxon Flex so I can get rid of my keychain light and just carry the Flex. If Roxon would add an SAK-type pen, I could get rid of my EDC pen as well.
Generally speaking the smaller you make something the less durable and replaceable the parts are for that thing because you're trying to minimize space used. So a lot of tiny flashlights end up using button/wafer/watch style batteries have locked pressfit construction and stuff like that which are a pain in the ass or impossible to replace and have the longevity of wet paper. In contrast even the shittiest "overkill" edc flashlights can usually have their batteries replaced if they burn out and will last for years at the minimum. Even lights that are known for proprietary charging like Olight with their magnetic charging can largely have the battery easily removed from the casing.
