You must have heard their voices on the plane. Inka Magnaye is the in-flight voice of the flag carrier of the Philippines. Unknown to the airline, she is the daughter of Lindy Pellicer, its voice in the air in the 90s.
“Out of a blind audition where several women sent in their samples, my voice was chosen, without knowing who I was or who my mom was,” Magnaye said in a social media post that went viral.
On Mother's Day, Inka pays tribute to her mom, the calming voice that inspired her own.
Delivered in her signature voice, Inka also has a message for all frontliners and everyone at home. Watch and listen:
