A traincrew-operated level crossing with full barriers found in the Welsh town of Porthmadog and next to Porthmadog Railway Station on the Cambrian Coast Line. This is one of a few places on this line with two tracks and where trains can cross with each other (like the two in the second and third lowerings did), and these tracks are also bi-directional for trains to return should anything prevent them from continuing onto Pwllheli. For trains heading into the station, the driver activates the crossing by pulling a wire, which starts the sequence provided the track circuit is occupied by a train, and for departing trains the level crossing is activated from a pedestal. For both directions, a white light is given when it's clear and safe to proceed and movement authority is given. This level crossing was fully renewed in early 2020 when old 'Field and Grant' barriers were replaced, and the main additions thanks to that are the E2S 'Apello' alarms, two LED pedestrian lights, and a single white LED floodlight in one corner. One of the barriers strikes the floor despite dampening perfectly fine, and it behaves almost as if it has been forcibly pushed down numerous times.
The videos featured here were filmed over a few days as I was staying close nearby. The first lowering actually features the first train of the day out of Pwllheli. The next day's last train of the day out of Pwllheli also features in Lowering Three.
