- A fan gave us a 2003 Honda 919 sport bike! We harvested the powerful 120 horsepower engine to install on an upcoming cross kart 2.0 project we're building, leaving us with a street bike motorcycle frame and no engine. We decided to install a Harbor Freight Predator 212cc engine on the Honda 919! This Harbor Freight motorcycle swap is a hoot!

Take the fuel tank off the predator and feed it directly from the stock tank lol

Dual fuel tanks then road trip.
No point having the extra weight of the original tank if they aren't using it. 10 lbs could be 2 mph with 6.5hp! LoL

@@worldwideguitarman the weight is just a problem for acceleration really, top speed is basically limited by max rpm and gear ratio
It performs pretty well! Time to make it street legal and take it to a bike show!

Take out the 212 and throw a 420 big block or a tillotson 225 in that thing it’ll be a beast
Edit: also dual sport tires on that thing and it will be complete

I have always wanted to put a big snowmobile 2 stroke into a motorcycle! I had a dead Suzuki Rf900 I was saving for a while but money got tight and I couldn't find a good engine so it got sold. Would have been the perfect frame though, HUGE sport bike with plenty of engine room and a steel frame to weld on

It reminds me of this one young dude who put a Predator into his little truck, simple and elegant capable of good speed through the stock gearbox with the pull starter right under the front left wheel well and the choke operated via lever on the dashboard. I think he hit 30 mph on uneven dirt roads going very slightly uphill XD
Edit: It was a stock Predator 212 in a Dodge D-50/Mitsubishi Triton, 6.5hp and all, 5 speed stick shift and 22 mph top speed in high range with squishy all-terrain tyres from the looks of it. I forgot the guy got nearly a million and a half views in the 2 years since he uploaded it lol

I was thinking the same thing ... I dislocated my shoulder I was completely fucked for atleast a 8 weeks ... and he actually broke and ripped shit ....
You can tell by the shed slab. Its old. In the dust bowl 500 episode there was a slab poured. In this episode it's only boxed up.

#CarsandCameras, I'd love to see you bring the bike to a drag strip. Wanna know something funny? Your bike will run more consistent drag times than the $20,000+ drag bikes and after they see you make a few runs, they will fear you and do everything they can to avoid lining up next to you in staging. I can wait 'till Ike's right shoulder has healed, but I'm dying to see that.
Imagine how much tighter it would look with curved tubing hugging the engine in the cradle, rather than the right-angle welding. It'd look almost factory.
It'd still sound like a Home Depot on the road, but it'd look factory. Ish.
Alternatively, if there are enough hardpoints on the block, a subframe on the front and rear of the block bolted to the tabs they cut off the frame could turn the engine into a semi-stressed member.

You guys should make more room and put a torque converter. It will probably make a huge difference with some bigger gearing. Looks legit!

My first job I was 13. I was trained how to rebuild and repair Briggs and Stratton lawnmowers and garden machinery ,small engine mechanic. Those Briggs are workhorses. We viewed some out and made custom head and get 15 hp form a 6.5 p
Hp. Those little motors are fun to work on too. Ya the old guy custom made stroker and bigger bore on the Briggs engines. Make a bigger stroke and hot rod Briggs engine. Fun times

I've been doing this since before this TH-cam channel was invented. I've used 212s and 420s. As long as the gearing is correct and the chain lines up, it's not too difficult. I've put predator engines on sport bikes, homemade motorcycles and trikes and all of my stuff is street legal in Nevada.
I wanna see it run through a true gearbox. Pretty sure the factory one is a wet clutch setup so maybe not the factory one, but a gearbox none the less.

Can't you turn that jack shaft into a torque converter? Lose the predator tank, use the 919 tank, and raise the engine up more into the mounting bracket slant where the head of the 120 would be. That should give you the space needed for running a 2 piece torque converter set up. Otherwise great job so far! Still love it as is!
I'd have gone with a tuned Honda 420 and a torque converter setup, bottom end acceleration and some top speed too. Other than that maybe a stage 4 kit.
You should put sound pads in the roof so the garage sound quality gets better🔥🔥🔥
