Laurie! I just had one of the best conversations with a lovely woman tonight on a flight from CMH to ATL all because of you! She noticed my black and white striped backpack and asked if it was recommended by you. She has the new improved version with the zipper laptop pocket. What a pleasure it was to chat with her. And I never would have enjoyed her company so much on that flight if not for your recommendations. Thank you!
I love the set of 35 small silicone baggies for travel! I bought a Nelko label maker to identify what is in the baggies (more for medicine). I also used the labels on my small folding pill container that you have recommended in the past.
Those zippered socks and travel undies with a passport sized zippered pocket in front saved me when I was beaten up and robbed in Indonesia. They got my cash and other things in my purse, but didn't find my passport or credit card. (only one in those days, it was the 90's).
I recently bought those compression packing cubes and the toiletry kits (one each for my husband and me). They are beautiful and we can't wait to use them on the ship - with the magnetic hooks you previously taught us about) and on the flight home as an inflight catch-all bag for stuff at our fingertips. Laurie, we may just be starting to travel (recent"ish" retirees), but you have kept us up to date and we'll look like we know what we're doing when we leave in a few months! Whoo hoo!!!!! Thanks Laurie.
Agreed especially for long-haul flights! I already have that set but I’ll be ordering another one in a different color just for this purpose: it makes much more sense than separate pouches.
@@ritahuffstetler8947 Hi, no. I probably had b-roll going or pics of different trips. I have the pink and the aqua ones but only travel with one at a time depending on my mood.
@ritahuffstetler8947 since the majority of my toiletries are liquids that must be kept in a quart size ziploc style bag, so I'll use the one hanging toiletry bag for my flight essentials
I love the tripped compression packing cubs! I purchased them per your recommendation. I have not used any other packing cubes since. Thank you Laurie!
I use a cord for my AirPods too, because they just don't stay in my ears. I put the cord behind my nedk though, so when the pods fall out they just dangle in front. And those little silicone zip top bags are such a lifesaver! I keep my afternoon meds in one in my purse when traveling. easy to see in my bag due to the color of the zip top. You have really helped make our travel easier! Thanks, Laurie!
I used that Tripped hanging toiletry bag on a 12 hr flight to Japan! So easy to access everything and made the flight less stressful because everything was within reach at all times.
Hi Laurie, regarding that travel size mirror, I have had two just like it that I use every day to do my makeup (mainly because of the magnification), but after awhile the handle will break and won't stand up on the magnifying side anymore. It is an awesome mirror though!
Laurie - thank you for these travel tips. I am traveling to Italy later this week and really appreciate that you have taken the time to evaluate this stuff and make these recommendations. Thanks!
I have that lanyard wallet. I love it. I got one for my son in college as well. I have a chain strap that is for a small purse that I use sometimes. I hook the chain strap to the zipper pulls and then wear it as a crossbody. You can’t pull the zippers down without feeling a tug. I sometimes put my keys or phone on the chain strap as well.
I ran into a group of friends who do not travel regularly at their departing airport. They were traveling to several locations and using several means of transport. I suggested that whenever they were given an item like a boarding pass, a luggage receipt, an entry ticket, etc. take a picture of it in case the item was lost or misplaced . I also suggested they take a picture of the entry of where they were staying (which showed the address or contact details) in case they got separated. Also, when travelling in coaches take pictures of their coach and any identifying numbers so they could easily find it when returning. For infrequent travellers it is important to feel secure and safe so they enjoy the trip and it does not feel like work nor makes them nervous. Even before the flight left, the stewardess needed to find a carryon containing one passengers medications. 0:55 The luggage had inadvertently been tagged and checked to its final destination (not its intermediary destination). The passenger was able to hand over the luggage tag because she had taken a photo of the tag. I am giving compression packing cube to several friends and family this Christmas. I spent 8 weeks overseas (Summer time) with only a carryon and the compression cubes made it all possible.
Ahhh, now I see all the links in the comments. I was looking in the “more” under the video description and only saw 6 items. Thank you for adding them all in the comments! 😊
I am all about these Black Friday deals and coupons -seriously, it’s like Christmas came early, and I’m stocking up on everything I never knew I needed! 😎🎉
Security socks - be careful! Just putting cash in my socks got me flagged at TSA and brought into a separate room to be checked. Caused anomaly in the scan. Great idea but don't put anything in them if wearing them through TSA.
Hi Laurie 👋😊 I was lucky enough to get a free sample of those Olay Melts & will be taking them to Mexico in Feb. Got a pack of 5. Was great to see you use & describe them. Love this video. Take care. Watching from BC, Canada 🇨🇦 😊❤
Laurie do you think you could make a video for travelling on long haul flights & shorter flights with menopause & perimenopause. Love your videos, great stuff. ❤❤❤😊
Hi there love your videos..I'm the daughter of a pilot so I get most of your tips we've been packing 2 sets of clothing in our carry on luggage as kids!!Just a heads up don't leave the water running whilst washing your face please...water is precious..thanks
Laurie I travel for business and have used my briggs and riley large roller suiter for over 10 years. But it weighs about 15-16 pounds. I often check my bag because i need two suits and 6 to 8 dress shirs and dress shoes. I have been thinking of getting a new polycarbonate light-weight suitcase that I can check in. What is a good choice for carrying the multiple suits, shirts, ties, etc that wont start out weighing so much? Thank you.
If you are left handed the Delsey is great. But I have 5 of the Level8 ones which vary. But I think their lightest one is 7 pounds? They've gone to Europe and withstood against walking for 15 mins from the train station etc on cobblestone roads. The handles never wobble. They also have a checked version that is wide handles. You would turn your backpack sideways to slide it over that type of handles. Here is what I recommend: amzn.to/494EX7v
So far I havent had much luck, travelling with menopause is new to me, I am curious to know how other women cope whilst travelling, what tips do they have. Even though there is alot of info on perimenopause & menopause itself not so much with travel. I'll keep looking. Thanks for your reply.❤
My tips would be short sleeves as your base layer in all seasons so you can layer in the airplane or not. And chat with your doc. I’m on estradiol and progesterone and no more hot flashes!
Please give a website/name of the travel make-up brushes. Clicking on the discount code doesn't do anything. Thank you for all your tips and hints! I;ve adopted so many of them over the years.

You mentioned CPAP cords. Have you ever done a video on CPAP travel tips and gadgets? It is a very common condition and such a video would be useful. I have a travel CPAP, which is great for the convenient size, but it doesn't have a humidifier. I've tried about 5 portable humidifiers to place on my nightstand, but most were junk and didn't last but a couple of trips. The Homedics held up about 1 1/2 years which was probably good for a $20 device.

What a fabulous idea to use the toiletry bag for in-flight essentials!!!
I was so proud of that idea!
Agreed especially for long-haul flights! I already have that set but I’ll be ordering another one in a different color just for this purpose: it makes much more sense than separate pouches.
So, do you use two of the Tripped toiletry kits? One for in- flight necessities and another for toiletries?
