It's not worth of an upgrade. S22 Ultra is still a great phone. I have an S21 Ultra and even I won't upgrade. Maybe I'd get the S26 Ultra when Samsung stops Sa software support for the S21 Ultra.
Yeah I don't think it's worth an upgrade either. Both phones are just too similar design wise, hardware and software wise, camera wise (pictures and videos) etc. I have the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and I'm not even going to think about upgrading my phone until the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is released in 2027.
I noticed the lens's on your S22 Ultra are not clean. They're either scratched or have heavy finger prints on them. Perhaps having properly cleaned them might've given you some better results with some of those photos. Thank you, I enjoyed the video!
Not scratches.. it was handling 3 phones at once so.. fingerprints.. but I have cleaned before taking phones, otherwise photos would have had refraction of light
I upgraded already from the S22 ultra to the S24 Ultra. Because of the battery not being that good, I was tired of the curved screen, specially when watching content in full screen and the speakers on the S24 Ultra sound a whole lot better. I'm satisfied with the S24 Ultra.
You’re truly underrated. A very nice video and great infos on certain things. I think the same, S25 Ultra is probably gonna be the big upgrade. This one still looks way too similar to the S22 Ultra in almost everything
The S25 will look pretty much the same. It's about design language. Every galaxy phone looks similar. Try to differentiate an A54 from the S24 from one meter distance. Good luck!

Comparing the cameras, I'm sticking with my S22 Ultra. First, I prefer the 10x zoom over the S24 Ultra's 5x. Secondly, after downloading and tweaking Samsung's Camera Assistant, I'm getting very fine results. That includes turning down the over-sharpening so prevalent in almost all smartphone cameras, including Samsung's. (For that reason, I tried and rejected Expert Raw.)
I upgraded from S22 Ultra to S24 Ultra and it's a whole different phone. While the UI may be the same it's a whole new experience. The display is second to none. The processor is finally something to compete with Apple A Series. The AI is fun and useful. And did I mention the screen is next level and FLAT? YES FLAT! GOOD FLAT! I haven't been excited about Android in 6 or 7 years. The experience has been dull for a long time to me. The S24 Ultra lit the fire for me again. It is hands down the best single device you can own. And I'm saying this as a man that owns almost every piece of the Apple Ecosystem including iPhone 14 Pro Max. The S24 Ultra is my new daily driver and even replacing some of the workload from my iPads.
Love the review. I got my s24 ultra yesterday. Was going back n forth between it and my IPhone 15 Pro Max. So far I'm loving this phone but I'm not sure of I'll keep it or go back to my iPhone. Battery life on this 24 Ultra is amazing though.
Totally depends on how your experiences were with the last phone ... Yes the flat display is what I want too and the much better battery life. But because the camera hardware isn't big change so I decided not to spend on upgrading this year.. next year I might upgrade if the camera changes are coming
Nice comparison! I preordered the 512gb S24U and after trading in my pristine S22U, the total cost after discounts and 3 years of Samsung Care+ is $713 USD. I'm still debating if I should cancel my pre-order before it ships. IMO, the photos you took with the S22U surprisingly look better than those from the S24U. I think the 10x zoomed-in photos from the S24U look too soft and over-smoothened compared to those from the S22U. IMO, a native 10x zoom lens is better than digital cropped 10x 50mp images if you want true sharpness. My S22U (and battery) still works well, but it won't get the AI features, and I hate the curved screen because the S-pen rolls off the edges too easily while drawing. Tough decision I need to make soon before it ships, because $713 is a good deal....

I traded in my S22 U for the S24U. My thoughts are, the colors on the screen on the S22 U are way more vivid than the S24U. The S24U though has better cameras, takes better photos and videos and has wayyyyy better battery, which was my complain with the s22U. I got $1000 for my S22U on trade in. Both phones are great, I just wanted a better battery.

Even me is eagerly waiting for the s25 ultra to arrive.. I have only few issues currently with the S22 ultra, blue tint, heating under slightly more load and comparatively weaker battery life

I think Samsung finally got the cameras right with the S24 series. I played around with the S24/S24+ and the improvements are definitely noticeable. Too bad about that boxy design - I hate it. I'm one of those who appreciates good design and the curved screen.
That's great.. I know so many who don't like totally flat displays, I am somewhere in between sometimes I like the curve display sometimes I prefer a flat screen.. but sadly we can't have both😅

My S22 Ultra was great, not a single issue with it but my battery started to suck & my Carrier offered me $800 for it. So I paid $400 for my 512g S24 Ultra & I'm super happy! This phone reboots twice as fast as my 22 Ultra did. Doesn't seem like it on paper, but this 24 Ultra is heavy, which I love 🤟
Can someone tell me please if the white objects look white on the S22 ultra? I have an iphone 13 pro and white things look yellow, even my lg k61 takes better photos. I want a better phone camera and I was thinking about buying the snapdragon version of the s22 ultra, but if pictures are going to look as bad as in the iphone, i prefer to save the money and keep my LG
Yes it is. But at full resolution.. in normal 12MP shots it's only HDR difference but that's can't be judged as they perform different in different situations

Without even watching the video... The answer is yes. I came from an S22 Ultra and now own the S24 Ultra. The newer Snapdragon is worth it alone.
