This piece brings back really good memories for me. This performance not only does that, but it leaves me with a new level of appreciation and love for this piece.
stunning performance by two of the most imaginative musicians out there. I've always had a soft spot for Shunske's playing and he never fails to deliver. I'm so grateful
Great done played🎉🎶 🎻 👍👌 Also the Piano Lady👌👍🎶🎊 All the best to you 🍀🍀🍀 Greetings from a Classical Singer Tenor-Violist-Panflutist, From 🇪🇺🇩🇪 Black Forest Region near Freiburg im Breisgau, Yours, Josha 🙋 PS: your Violon sounds wonderful!!!
not Arthur Grumiaux but I wasn't expecting that. I love the piano! and the very interesting lack of vibrato. The Dutch Bach Baroque Orchestra lost an excellent leader and our ears have gained some wonderful new sounds.
@@TheCreate78 Hi, we had contact with our digital distributor. Unfortunately, Deezer has changed its way of accepting releases. They curate new releases and decide weither is of value to their users. Somehow they decide a lot of our release are not worth it, including this Beethoven album. At our website you can buy digital files as well, so you can listen to all of them. (We even have a combo deal with all sonatas on audio and the entire Kreutzer on video).
Rubato on the macro and micro scale was a common and ubiquitous practice into the early 20th century - there is ample written documentation as well as historical recordings that show this. great playing, great instruments, great sound quality, best recording of this sonata I've yet to hear!
So much freedom! Finally...
Brilliant! I've heard this sonata thousands of times but, in a sense, your performance makes me feel that I am hearing for the first time.
I can’t listen to the ‘normal’ version of this the same again, unbelievably stunning and expressive

We totally agree! Only one more week and "BEE1H0VEN" is out into the world.

5:57 But why? Sad to say, too many liberties taken here.

Great new interpretation. I love Maestro Sato’s playing. It’s refreshing to hear him play something other than baroque music.
Mf makes it sound like a piece by ludvig van Bach 😂
