An Error of PO902 and it acting like it’s skipping gears brought me here, I have a dealership appointment scheduled for the TCM but I’m second guessing that’s the problem again after watching you. I have two new clutch actuators which are going in today when I get outside. Hopefully they or at least motor “a” is my problem
Your videos are great.! Very informative. I just had my clutch replaced and picked the car up and it drve fine for a few miles and no its shifting crazy and i got a trans overheating warning. Could this be becUse no "relearn" was done??
Hi, thanks for watching. Since you paid a shop to do it, I would take it back. It's possible theres a workmanship issue, or the TCM may have failed now
Please help! You did help me with the issue I was having with the A Clutch Ford. It was no good. So had to drop the trans again and clutch. I replaced the fork and reset the clutch, reinstalled EVERYTHING and it starts but won't go back nor forward and the throttle does not go pass 2000rpm when revving it. I figured it needed to build trans pressure. Same thing. Wondering if this is what it needs. Trying to keep positive about this car. I am a Ford guy and I ad my Daughter to buy this 2015 Ford Focus Titanium. She love it and trying to help her the beast I can.
I would clear all fault codes that may still be present from your issue and then it should move. If not, something else is wrong and will need to be diagnosed. Any new codes that weren't there before? For quicker responses you can join my discord server, link in description
I did clear all active codes, but could not clear "History" code. It was still showing Fork A error code. I am not sure if the sensor on the side of the trans has anything to do with it not shifting att all. It does not look broken but I am not sure if got damaged on trans installation. What is the discord link?
Drove for about an hour with the manual adaptive learn. Got to say at first it shifted like crap. Now the shifting is smooth. Hopefully it keeps up. 1st and second were great

If the car is throwing shifter fork b position circuit and shift fork b 'calibration not learned', and not going into reverse or shiting out of 1, can I manually go counter clockwise on actuator B fork to reset it?? or is there a forscan feature for shift fork calibration. how can i test/ do this?
Ben I have a 2018 Ford Focus and it has a shutter from 1st and second shift and it is not there all of the time. It does not have a Engine check light, does the touch point learn apply here. If this does not apply, what do think the problem is and is it still under warranty. Thanks you for the help Denton Aylor
Hi, it sounds like the clutch itself is shuddering, and that's pretty much characteristic of these. Driving the car hard occasionally can mitigate the shudder. Or you can replace the clutch and clean the forks or replace them and the slave cylinder
Ben, how would I go about fixing a first gear issue where its a bit jerky when I've been in stop and go traffic for a while? Its fine when cold and no other gear does it, just first. I wouldnt be surprised TBH if the clutch forks could stand some lubrication. vehicle has 100K miles almost and unknown what has been done with the transmission.
I recently discovered the test menu on the dash. Going through it odometer (in test) says 117781 while the number that's always displayed is 44,000 lower. Does this mean my cars been rolled back? Also three codes popped up c073_88 c558_64 f006_16 Any information will be greatly appreciated thank you!
I put in all the new clutch stuff and worked fine for a while. Now it sometimes shifts poorly and has no reverse. I turn off the key for 30 secs and all fine. I have some codes
I'm going to do a final check at work next week. I have a steep driveway. It's kind of hard to do a "for sure" check with that. I'll update next week with positive results
This procedure is more for clutch application issues. However, it does involve relearning the shift drum points. It most likely won't help with worn synchronizers. Can't hurt though. You should try servicing your transmission and adding a couple bottles of motorcraft xl3 friction modifier. Or service your transmission with acdelco friction modified syncromesh.
Go on a back road, and go full throttle 0-70mph 5-7 times in succession in order to scrub the clutch- and mitigate shudder for a while. Or replace your clutch and forks

Clutch shudder can be mitigated by driving the car hard once in a while

I'm unsure about that menu, or those codes. But, you can hook up forscan and it should read the odometer from the pcm

No, it's stored in the tcm keep alive memory

It'll shift and engage poorly for a while as it relearns

It may help a little, but your upper clutch fork is likely sticking and needs to be removed & cleaned or replaced

Waiting for a cold day to verify the repair. So far so good - 50 degree days. It mainly did it when really cold
Update: still does it. So it's a quirk of the clutch. I've got an extra clutch so maybe I'll use it one day
