Interesting video, but as someone who was born and raised in Britain but lived in Australia for years I think you overstate the influence of the US, and understate the British influence. There is still a very strong bond between Britain and Australia and the cultural ties are strong. Australia is obviously closely tied to the US, particularly after WW2, but there is a surprising amount of anti-American sentiment here.
The Australian constitution is also very, very different to the US constitution and we seem very far away from the US system. The introduction of States and the Senate is overall good, but there aren't too many other similarities. You mention separation of powers and imply it's similar to the US system, but it is entirely the British system lol - Australian's even refer to their government as using the 'Westminster System' as the Executive branch is entirely drawn from the largest party in the legislature. No separation there!
No one - NO ONE - refers to, or seems to know about, the people involved in federation as our founding fathers. Had never heard of the concept until this video lol.
Also you don't mention the ways we developed political structures different from both the UK and US - particularly in our voting system with compulsory voting, ranked voting and single-transferable voting. It creates very different outcomes to the UK and US that would have been interesting to explore.
