I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned that Navy veteran 102 year old Robert Persichitti, of Rochester NY, passed away today at a German hospital after having a health crisis on a boat bound for France to attend this very memorial. He was traveling with a companion when he had a medical emergency. RIP to all of the fallen heroes and cheers to all of these remaining living legends!
