@@ChrisWhoLikesGrapes 600 by far is their best model all other models have some very bad flaws. I would never recommend anyone get anything besides the 600
*IMPORTANT!!!!!!* THE 800 HAS A WOBBLY TIP. I found that the tip wobbles around half of a millimeter inside its housing when deployed. Although it seems negligible, it actually makes a giant difference. For a pen that was designed mainly for artists and engineers (and costs more than my dinner), any level of wobble is unacceptable. The writer should not try to compensate for the pencil's wobble of all things when they are immersed in a hobby or creating a detailed drawing. I own a Rapid Pro with a simpler retracting tip mechanism, and it doesn't disturb my writing or drawing because it doesn't wobble at all. LESS IMPORTANT BUT STILL LEFT OUT FROM MANY VIDEOS: The Rapid Pro has a larger grip section than the rest of the pencil's body. That is to take note of, since the 600 and 800 have smaller grip sections compared to their bodies. This small difference in proportion translates to a giant difference in practice, especially for someone who is observant or writes for extended periods of time.

I might go for the rapid pro and the 800.
(My English might not be good...)Thank you for a nice video.I love rotring's mechanical pencil. So, I have a question.I'll buy rotring rapid pro.but,I can't choose a color.Which do you recommend BLACK or SILVER?
+kamio kabegami That's a hard choice! If you like a more rugged look, choose black. If you like a more industrial look, choose silver. But you can't go wrong with either. ;)
Thanks a lot!I might buy black one.But I'll chose it later because I can't find Rapid Pro yet.
How would be the led replacement for these? Same way as a regular mech pencils?
Yes, you take the eraser cap and eraser out and stick the lead in.
I love my 600. but an 800 would be cool. the lead sleeve got bent the 3rd day i had it, and it took me almost 2 months too bend it back
Daniel Eastman I bent mine as well but I've found that a BIC pen cap fits perfectly on it
cccstudios521 thanks for the "tip"
Daniel Eastman boii
Is the Rotring 800 good for writing (in school)? I constantly break mechanical pencils, and I loved my Rotring tikky, but unfortunately it broke in my packpack.
Yes, it's good for writing in school -- you might also want to check out the Kuru Toga Roulette: www.jetpens.com/Uni-Kuru-Toga-Roulette-Mechanical-Pencils/ct/1129

+ToPo #1 We have the replacement tips here: www.jetpens.com/Rotring-600-Drafting-Pencils/ct/1109
+JetPens PenPal thanks
It would be nice if there's a rotring 600 clutch type 2mm lead holder
what happened to the 700 series?
Matthew Heal it’s a mechanical pencil/fountain pen, not a drafting pencil
Where can I find replacement tips and erasers for my rOtring 600?
You can find erasers here: www.jetpens.com/Rotring-Drafting-Pencil-Eraser-Refill-500-or-600-Pack-of-5/pd/6769 and tips here: www.jetpens.com/search?q=prefix%3A600+AND+prefix%3Areplacement&v=1

Hi! Was wondering if you could do a video about the GraphGear 1000 and/or 500- my two favorites. Also, what is the song in this video?! Love pieces like this.
+Ryan Stone Thank you for the suggestion! We'll put it on our list of ideas. The song is from audio jungle.
Am I only able to replace the tips for the rotring 600 only?
Yes, we only carry the replacement tips for the Rotring 600.
Does silver 600 have a matte texture like how the black looks?
hung chau Hi there! It does have a matte finish compared with other silver pens, but is more reflective than the black due to its color. Hope this helps!
are there other color of leads like red or blue that can be used with these pencils?
+Jairo Ayala Yes, as long as the tip size matches, you can use any lead with the pencils. :)
+JetPens PenPal Thank you for the reply. I was looking around for reviews on leads for these kinda mechanical pencils and I cant find any decent ones. Would you consider reviewing leads?
+Jairo Ayala Thank you for your suggestion! We'll forward your request to our content team. :)
One minute it's "Rot Ring", the next it's "Row Tring"........make up your mind! 😆

How is the best ?
no mention of the 2mm lead holders?
Weird question. What is the best lead (company/brand/thickness) for the rotring 600?
+curly0117 There's not one specific lead that's ideal for the Rotring 600--we have a variety of leads that work well with it! Some popular lines include the Pentel Ain, Uni NanoDia, and the Pilot Neox. www.jetpens.com/Pentel-Ain-Lead/ct/2584 www.jetpens.com/Uni-NanoDia-Lead/ct/2608 www.jetpens.com/Pilot-Neox-Graphite-Lead/ct/2635
+curly0117 The most popular among all, is the Koweco 5B Graphite Leads 2.0 (mm) it is rather premium though but it is very nice, It is Japanese or something but its worth the price.
+Gabriel Johnson Kaweco is actually a German brand!
+JetPens PenPal oh by the way I'm planning on buying a mechanical pencil from your site but i can't seem to find one that suits me Its going to be for high school and i was wondering which one would be the best or any recommendations thx!
+Gabriel Johnson Have you seen our Guide to Mechanical Pencils? www.jetpens.com/blog/guide-to-mechanical-pencils/pt/809 The Kokuyo FitCurve is a personal favorite! www.jetpens.com/Kokuyo-FitCurve-Mechanical-Pencils/ct/887
Do I find it an upgraded and stronger version of a mechanic pencil?
Yes!
What makes these pencils so special beside the small tip and metal body? Like is it worth the price?
