      Not really I have a few houses in Costa rica, and that's about right. Everything but rent is the same if not more expensive than the US

    The title is wrong It's "How to live like a tourist in Costa Rica", that much better.If you learn to cook you can make those plates your paying 800 dollars. Plus 400 dollars for groceries that makes no sense.1200 dollars for one person on food not even in a America does a single man spend that much a month bro learn to cook!

    Costa Rica IS expensive but not that much, of course that if You are eating at fancy restaurants every single day you are going to spend that amount of money, but please do not share that kind of content setting up unrealistic expectations.

      That's around 150k Php (Pesos Philippine Currency) which means you can already build a descent small house with that in Philippines.. you can also add Electric and Water Supply also if you're wise enough an Internet Connection too.
      His spending is per month with that spending if you save atleast 1 year you're already a millionaire in the Philippines.

    Honestly one of the most unfiltered videos on youtube for the actual cost of living in Costa Rica. At the moment the cost of a kilo for chicken breast is at 4,700 colones (translates to $3.95 a/lb for chicken breast). It's all locally grown and they used the same excuse that was used in the USA. Last year it was about half that price. Costa Rica has proven that it will raise prices to test the pockets of its people and since there's no push back inflation hasn't stopped. To be 100% transparent about 90% of old websites and blogs that talk about the cost of living in CR are extremely outdated. Do your research

      Something ain’t adding up I spend 350-400 a month in the US on groceries roughly and I spend like 100-150 on eating out, and honestly I eat alot

    We are a family of 3 living permanently in CR for over 3 years. We don't pay that much. You are paying way too much on eating out and your housing!!!

    NO WHY MEN, B,S, I DON'T KNOW WERE YOU, GO , I SPENT ABUT $500, OR LESS, A MONTH, i go to the mom and pop, soda restaurants , food is abut $3,75, $ 5,00, , food in a grocery store, $60, to $85, rent abut $250, to $375, is that they love that GRINGO life , going to Rich restaurants expensive abnb, hotels, there are very nice poeple that will rent you a nice place, he is LIYNIG TO YOU, IS NOT THAT WHY, been coming to C, R, since 1994, now retirement since 2019, in NANDAYURE Guanacaste, this is why I know, I'm rent free we have one house in Nandayure Carmona Guanacaste and Tibás in San Jose,

    You’re eating out WAY too much if you have to spend 800$ doing it. Like you’re just doing too much tbh. Pretty sure Costa Rica isn’t that expensive sounds more like a Tourist thing than a Citizen thing.
