    Still using my old RCBS beam scale and powder measuring thrower that came with my Rock Chucker II single stage press kit over thirty years ago. I never load more than a hundred rifle or handgun cartridges at a time anyway. Works for me. I'll spend the $900 bucks on another rifle! 😂

      I got the same beam scale handed down from my dad in the early 90’s that was covered in white residue and never could get an honest answer out of him…. 😜

    Doesn't take a barrel of $$$ to get started reloading ammo. However it does to do it quicker. Case prep centers, power case trimmer, auto dispensing scales, inside/outside neck turning tools, primer seating tool, the list goes on.😮
    Not necessary but appreciated.

    Nice!! I have the older chaegemaster before the started to use a digital screen like that. I'd love to have that higher degree of accuracy. Currently i set mine up, then recheck with a beam scale and use a trickler to finish.

    Tip….dont leave the unit plugged in at the back when not in use. Dont use around fluorescent lights, place Bounce sheets under unit when in use, keep a can of Static Guard for getting rid of static in the area around the unit. Ive had mine for 4 years now, and use exclusively in Match mode with settings heavily modified. Ive seen multiple units affected by lights, and static electricity, the scale is super sensitive. It does produce extremely accurate ammo! 😉

    My Lyman does the job. I set it a grain under and trickle to my target. It has some so so days but mostly it’s spot on. Got it on eBay or a smoking deal.

    Wow! They don't give that away. I would like to see the difference between this and the regular chargemaster to see if the $600 difference is worth it.

    I like how fast it is but $900.....I just dropped more than that into my Giraud trimmer which was the best money I've spent in the last 25 years. With handloading I've never liked the part when it comes to trimming cases. Now that they can be done in about 4 seconds it's no longer a thorn in my side. Other big purchaes I was considering include the IDOD and an AMP annealer but crap I'd be looking at another $4000 if I threw in the RCBS powder measure for all 3 or maybe more. I think I'd rather have another rifle. I looked at my current inventory and feel like it's pretty anorexic. 😁

    I’m thinking about getting one but I need to get a annealer first!

    • @Snailz5
      @Snailz5 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can anneal by hand very cheaply and easily. A powder dispenser is a much bigger time saver. Get a chuck from littlecrowgunworks, a torch head, and some cheap Coleman mini propane tanks and you’re annealing just fine.

    Have you tried IMR 4350 in the 300wsm? If so how did it do? I’m think of trying it myself with 212 ELDx in my 300wsm next month.

    • @ReloadingWeatherby
      @ReloadingWeatherby  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would recommend a slower burning powder like H4831SC. I've shot the 210 Berger VLD with H4831SC and it did very well

    • @christopherrussell411
      @christopherrussell411 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ thanks. I know the hornady and Nosler reloading manuals says it’s one that gets the good velocity (2800). But I’ll look at getting a can of the 4831sc and give it a try.

      I’ve had good luck with H100v. 2760 in a 22” barrel with the 212

      Take a look at MagPro. It's marketed specifically for the short magnum handloads. It's all I use in my 270 WSM. Meters well, great accuracy and velocities with a variety of bullet weights.

    who do u hate more hornady for over hyping old cartridges as new or hodgdon for buying all the power companies including rcbs and jacking up the prices?
    (6arc:6ppc from 1975, 22 grendel/545, prc libeup from 404 canadian wildcats or varget costing 60/# while vv/lapua/berger is now the bargin brand

      @DirtyCombos 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Other than everything else. I do love the 6 arc. I wish I knew it was the 6 ppc before hand. But everything else to me is overhyped.

    For what the matchmaster costs in my country its better to just get an A&d scale with an autotrickler, much better scale.

    • @ReloadingWeatherby
      @ReloadingWeatherby  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not sure how much the Matchmaster costs in your country... but the A&D scale is the same cost as the Matchmaster... and depending on the autotrickler it can get a bit more expensive

      @Koelkop 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ReloadingWeatherby Man its crazy, I went and checked because last time I looked at prices was a year ago when I bought my scale. A matchmaster is $1525 here and a a&d scale with a v4 auto trickler is $1450. Its crazy how much more expensive the matchmaster is over here compared to the US..
