  • What is the best nasal CPAP mask... DreamWear? ResMed P10? Eson 2?
    SO MANY TO CHOSE!
CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) masks are commonly used by people who have sleep apnea, a condition that causes interrupted breathing during sleep. The nasal CPAP mask is a device that delivers a steady stream of pressurized air through the nose to keep the airway open and allow for normal breathing.
This helps to prevent the cessation of breathing that occurs in people with sleep apnea and allows them to get a better night's sleep. Additionally, CPAP therapy also can help to reduce the symptoms of snoring, fatigue, and daytime sleepiness, as well as improve quality of life and reduce the risk of health complications associated with sleep apnea.

I've been through a few different masks over the years since starting cpap therapy. My first one which I loved the most- the Phillips Go Life (rip that mask). Second one wasn't a great fit for me- small was too small and medium was too big-->> the Resmed swift fx. Third one was my third favorite- the swift fx nano (rip that mask). Fourth mask (nasal cushion and frame is fine but I hate the headgear)- the Resmed N20. The now current mask (5th mask system I'm with)- the Phillips Nuance pro. Only thing that I have a bit of a gripe about is the weird material that lines the headgear for the back of the head but I've sewed a large tube of fabric to cover that section and it works as a bandaid to protect my hair.

I can't deal with the elephant trunk nasal mask. That was the 1st one I wore and I ended up with the air hose completely wrapping around my throat. Horror film feeling. I found the Philips Dreamwear nasal cradle that has the hose on top of the head and have had no problem with sealing or hose strangulation. A soft comfortable mask with no noise problems either. The slight jet of air from the front of the mask is minimal for me as I have a very air low pressure point and I'm now a back sleeper so the mask doesn't get much pushing and pulling at night. MyAir generally has me running at 100 points a night. Some nights I'll have no events at all, rather than the 40 per hour I tested at.

I’m new to all this , I wish you could have shown me close up a bit what the Nasal Part of the Masks looked like. Beginners need to look at this factor the most.

For nasal cradles like the Evora, which setting should you pick on the resmed air sense 10 for the type of mask- nasal or pillow?

I used the DreamWear nasal mask for a couple of years and it was fine, aside from the physical impact of it and the jet of air coming out of the front of it. When I found and tried the N30, that was it. Yes, it leaks a little more than the DreamWear, but it doesn't keep my bedmate on the other side of the bed with a cold airstream, or weigh a bunch. Very low impact in terms of the headgear and quiet, it's my favorite in the nasal cradle category. The leaks do run from about 8 - 12 L/min as opposed to the DreamWear 5 - 8 L/min, but I think that I'm getting good therapy despite that. At least my AHI is comparable with the DreamWear as is my sleep. Oh yeah, I'm an active side sleeper, so everything leaks for me :-).

That's not good. The only leak you should accept is air escaping through your mouth. This mask isn't for you if you are certain the leak isn't from your mouth. Try a new one

I’ve tried this full face mask and when I wake up my face have huge indentations that lasts most of the day. I’ve loosened it and it does not fit/stay in place?

Tristan maybe you can have a video with a woman with a petite head and nostrils trying on masks? The n30i, the f30i, the brevida and the evora are all not made for women. The 30I small headpiece is fine, the front pieces are horrible (did you try the small headpiece because you too had an issue with the evora head /frame being sized for a giant even lankylefty on TH-cam needed the smallest hole to wear it and he's not small).

I find it very annoying that throughout the video, nasal is spelled incorrectly! Doesn't leave me with a good feeling.

Someone else, who can spell, typed it at 12:46 🤔

@@screamtoasigh9984 Hello! Tristan here. I was the one who spelled nasal incorrectly. Unfortunately, I duplicate the text boxes in premiere pro while editing. So the first spelling mistake just got duplicated throughout the video. Annoying that I can't change it now. As for your other comment, I will try to get a woman with a petite head in future videos. All the best!

Any tips on reducing exhalation noise on n20? I had f30 prior to n20 and it was so quiet compared to n20.
