You will be happy to know that I had to play out the other day (i'm a futsal/indoor goalie) and all I could hear in my head was keep them outside. don't let them cut into the middle It worked pretty good! Considering I needed an edge as I am not a runner, i was happy with not embarrassing myself too much. When I think about it, that is kind of what i try to get my team to do in front of me but i did not realize that that was what I was asking them to do until I played their position and heard your voice. So thanks for doing these analysis videos on top of your other drills and such.

As a right winger i can tell you that the best place for crosses are hard low crosses on the ground. Always between the defensive and midfield line where a striker should be is a great place for a dangerous cross, especially when you have small strikers.

And can you also tell about whether athletes should take cold showers vs hot showers, Ive personally read in some sports journals that cold showers are better for athletes ( use hot water in the beginning for few minutes like 5, then switch to cold. This is what i personally do.) but I’ve heard about taking hot showers pre games or post games are benficial. It will be really helpful if you could give some advice. Thankyou.

I probably would loft the ball, hoping somebody heads it. Being honest that decision would more a "getting rid of the ball" than actual "trying to attack". What should I do when I have the ball on the side and every attacker is well marked ?

I think he answered that question himself in a different vid - you need to dominate at your position in the USL to get consideration for the MLS. What I've seen lacking in Matt's game at this level is quality crossing and speed with the ball. He has good decision making and intensity.

I think top leagues are more evolved tactically by playing with more width using wing backs rather than a traditional no nonsense fullback like you..but I have no doubt you can play as a right sided centre back in a back three in the MLS you just need the right team
