My favorite model of XF - The XF 3.0 diesel is high-powered "S" spec, trimmed in range topping Portfolio spec. This is a genuine 88k mile car which has had 3 owners from new. The car is a stunning example which has clearly been very well looked after. There is barely any wear and the car drives like new, with neck-snapping acceleration and a smooth ride which are synonymous with the Jaguar brand. Unlike a lot of executive cars, the Jag feels special. You get a sense of occasion in this car that is lacking in its rivals. The Portfolio model has a much more modern and sporty feel than a regular XF thanks to a more aggressive bodykit, 20" Alloy wheels and a majority of the interior trim panels that are normally wood, being instead finished in high-gloss black. The Jaguar is keyless and as you step inside and press the start button and an aluminum gear selector glides upwards as the steering column drops into position and the dash panels revolve to reveal the cars air vents. Already you get the feeling that you're in something rather special and that is before you even release the (electronic) handbrake. The diesel powerplant is extremely refined - Even when cold it is muted by the well insulated cabin. The centre console has a large touchscreen which displays the cars multimedia stereo system, satellite navigation and also the rear parking aid camera. Everything in this car is fully electric including the large leather sports seats (which have much deeper and more supportive bolsters in this Portfolio model) and the steering column which glides upwards when the ignition is of to allow easier access. You will adore the styling and the quality - The attention to detail is superb high quality leather stitching on the seats, dashboard and door cards and an alcantara headlining, for the ultimate in luxury feel. Despite the car having a mammoth amount of electrical goodies its interior manages to look classy and uncluttered. It's a mix of high-tech and tradition make it the perfect place to unwind and escape the stresses of the outside world.
Jaguar are a brand synonymous with performance and racing, so it should come as no surprise that the XF is not just a pretty face - it keeps all that power in check and offers superb handling and roadholding which are guaranteed to please the keen driver, as well as those who want comfort and luxury. At any speed, in any gear, on any incline, there is huge power on tap. Overtaking in the XF is instantaneous - burying the throttle is like being hit from behind by a train and then as the revs rise and the 2nd Turbocharger kicks in the surge of power is relentless all the way to the red line. It's is not just impressive in a straight line either.. The Jag has a fine handling balance and a sharp rear wheel drive chassis which offer better handling and ride comfort than all of its rivals. The sharp handling can be dialed up further again by selecting "Dynamic drive" mode which heightens the throttle and steering response for the car and selecting the sport model on the 8-speed gearbox (which an be used manually using steering wheel mounted paddles). It's an entertaining drive which easily lives up to the pedigree of this fantastic marque.
With so much power on tap and such an enormous level of comfort the XF is also an especially pleasurable companion when you need to cover ground quickly. The Navigation system was revised in 2012 and is a vast improvement over earlier cars. Our XF also comes with the upgrade, Bowers & Wilkins audio system which has a superb sound, along with bluetooth for telephone and audio streaming. Along with a reverse camera there are front and rear park distance sensors which provide both an acoustic and visual aid when parking. Finally I have to try and describe the bliss you will feel relaxing in those leather sports seats which are both heated and cooled, for additional comfort. It's hard to put into words, so you really do need to experience this car for yourself, but needless to say, the XF-S in Portfolio trim, combines luxury and performance so effortlessly you will barely believe its possible.

On my third. A low milage, 65 plate XF 3.0D S portfolio black edition. Rear tail, red calipers and matching red leather. Cant explain. Just love them. This after a 21 plate ipace, which i gave up on, an XJ 18 plate and a 20 plate F-Type 340 r-dynamic.
I'm on my 2nd XFS, my present one is identical to this one exept mine has the ivory cream interior and meridian sound system, i had a pre facelift one in silver in the past, they are fantastic cars and so under estimated, great value for money compared to German rivals and far better in my opinion.
Got an s luxury loaded all black . 20"" alloys . Black grill etc looks hench
Jaguar is big PETROL engine without any need of turbo. You need to look at the sales of E Vs to see they are not making their targets here or the states.😮😮
I really want an XF but the tax and insurance is prohibitive at the moment
Tax £255, insurance "only" £378 - but I am getting on a bit! Mine is the same model same colour, ivory interior, sun-roof, Meridian 825 Watts surround sound, black pack (wheels and exterior trim, carbon-fibre trim) - love it! Did 2,400 miles in July 24, 43mpg. I'll never sell it!
@@spudmurphy7643.0D S portfolio 65 plate. £65 a month to insure. Diesel price at 1.38 a litre makes for a good daily. Cruise past anything on the motorway. Massively pulls at speed. Swear it's better at 70 than my previous 18 plate M4.
@@spudmurphy764 Hi Spud, I'm 74 and just been quoted £1300 for my insurance for the same model, who are you with please?
@@alecmoyler9854 Hi Alec, I'm with Hastings, through Go Compare, I think, though I've used them before. £378.21, Lancashire, v. long NCD, smallish excess. Oh! and I'll be 76 tomorrow 🙂
The best car ever. Mine was HY64XWC.
