Anyone who would sucker punch a senior citizen and rob them should suffer a harsh penalty. That has to be one of the lower forms of life that resides in the area. Good for the hero, I'm really glad he was there and wasn't injured.

@@RSAgility totally disagree. As the victim of a crime, death of the perpetrator brought me a lot of peace and closure. Knowing they could never harm anyone again is the best thing possible. Also there is a numbers problem, we can't fix everyone. Most of them are drug addicts and have no desire to stop. There are a lot of programs to try to help them, but they refuse because they'd have to stop. So they just stay on the street and rob to feed their habit. But we should have options for homeless who want a way out and want to work and be clean.

You need to bring back the neighborhood feeling and the civic duty. In my country we care one for other and we help each other and this is why when we go in other parts of the town we act with care. If someone does something wrong you have at least 5 people to repremand or spring into action. If you start with the little things like "don't throw litter", "leave in the public transportation free the seats for elderly people or pregnant women" and so on bigger things could be avoided because you have less people tempted to do bad things because citizens will take no action because they wait for the police.

They live for free, take what they want, and governments at all levels are afraid to file out any punishment, because they always play the "insanity" card, and get off with no punishment. Citizens will have to step up more and more because the city, county, and state governments won't act, especially not in CA, but even in Texas very little is done.
