one thing that is very important is to set your mic to DVD quality And Also Your headset too for better sound quality or it can sound bad. so remember SET ALL YOUR AUDIO TO DVD QUALITY :) 48KHZ in window's sound options
+Sujad did you enable live streaming in youtube feature settings for me it was on by default i believe you do have to earn the right to stream be it subs amount or in good standing or just above a certain amount of uploaded video's. (i've just added a note using an annotation in the video)
brtcobra I was able to do it before with OBS no problem. I recently updated my Geforce Experience to version 3. Where is the youtube features setting? In case I missed that. [Edit]I can't seem to do anything in the ingestion tab if that makes any difference.
Sujad it's the settings cog next to where it says creator studio then it will say view additional features once you click that cog also make sure you signed in to youtube and selected youtube as the destination to where you want to stream from shadowplay

You explained the setup very well, but im having a minor problem. When i want to start streaming (alt+F8) a small message pops up which is telling me that i need to enable desktop capture. I don't want to do this, but if i refuse to enable it shadowplay won't start streaming.

I streamed a few times with shadowplay. Really easy to use, but noticed that Shadowplay ignores the default set up you have for your planned event and puts it's own title and description. lol
it does yes but you can change it once the stream starts. what it does is make it's own event so don't schedule one just start up shadowplay and once you are up and running change it then :)

Can you help me out here? I can stream every game I play just fine EXCEPT for Kerbal Space Program. When you alt+z, KSP hides in the toolbar, and there is no way to get it so that you are on the game while you press broadcast. As a result, the broadcast fails. I am on a laptop with an Nvidia GPU, and I read that because I am on a laptop my computer cannot handle desktop share. So, I have to be in the game while I click broadcast, or the broadcast fails, and there is no way to be in the game while I click broadcast. I tried a plugin for KSP that was supposed to help, but it did not. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks!

that is not enough upload speed to stream sadly :( you need a good 5mb/s upload to stream 2.5 for the stream and the rest to play multiplayer and stream
Nontheless, it happens the same with a game that works offline. Desktop ok, in game stutters. I don't think it's the speed because all the streaming should be choppy and it's not. Don't worry! I just wanted to say this in case somebody else is going through the same thig.
But could you explain what bit rate even is? Why should I go no more than that? How does that make it so that I think more of my viewers if I don't go higher?
FunkyFresh 3.5mb/s is the upload speed at what you will stream and the problem is a lot of people still in this day have slow download speeds so if you keep your upload low while streaming more people can watch you

Thank you very much! We are having problems with it streaming. I just downloaded it and did three short test streams to understand how everything worked. After the third I went to do the real deal and no matter what I did, it would not broadcast onto TH-cam. I would set everything up and then when I clicked the start button it would instantly come up with a message that said that it could not stream on TH-cam. this is an old video now though if you want to stream 4k you need a 10 series card or higher for it to appear. i now have a GTX 1060 6gb card and i have option to record at 4k 130 mb/s bitrate

I'm logged in, live streaming is properly configured and enabled, still broadcast failed 2 seconds after I click go live. 15 mins later... Ok, it's working, but only with some games, that's why it failed. Configuration was ok.

yes i show you how in this video it's done through the Events option but it's live you dont have the option to say stream now as it wont save the video after so i guess that's why nvidia do it through the Events section. It's still live though with chat and all you need.

Yeah, I was experimenting with it earlier today. Decided for TH-cam I will use Xsplit, and Twitch I will use Shadowplay.

try and enable desktop recording i think its now called privacy just hit the check box
There is no privacy option for me (thanks for the speedy reply though :) Any other ideas?
press ALT+Z click the settings cog look all the way down and see Privacy Control click it select yes

I got a 1080ti and a 4k tv. Still there is no 4K option in the stream settings for youtube in geforce experience.

Yep. Only for recording. ...and plenty of people stream in 4k.
streaming in 4k requires a huge upload and will kill your audience

check your upload speed at speedtest.net and if you have say a 6mb/s upload speed set to 3mb/s in shadowplay

you need to go to events on your youtube live stream section then click on the event go to live control room and start it

We are not receiving data from your encoder. Please make sure it is configured correctly in the Ingestion Settings page.
make sure not to create an event as nvidia will do that for you so you need to look for the nvidia created one and make sure its set to public
