Ever since the Scaring The Hoes review, I have just loved every second of you guys getting swallowed in the JPEGMAFIA rabbit hole. It is absolutely beautiful seeing you guys realising that your entire perspective of music has been utterly alternated and enjoying Peggy's albums. I was honestly really scared of how you guys would respond to this more melodic side of Peggy's music but it is so nice that you guys really enjoyed it no matter the songs. "Life's Hard, Here's a Song About Sorrel" reaction was completely valid though LOL Take care four of you, your authenticity in reacting to the music and entertainment is really the highlight of yall's reaction.
free the frail, prone, buttermilk jesus type beat, dots freestyle remix, kenan vs kel (probably the keenan part) are all good to play in front of people
Your mic audio sounds much better here guys - I know it's probably tough with two and all you in the same room but it makes for a better reaction to hear you guys. I hoped you'd get to this one because I think once you get his sound you can understand how incredibly unique his production and direction is.
The crazy thing about the Damien Wayne bar is that before that he says “I’m bringing major Payne, Damien Wayne.” The Damien Wayne could also be interpreted as “Damon Wayans” who was the leading role of the movie “major Payne” I’m sorry if this makes no sense I’m high asf
same, i dont think its his most well made album, that probably goes to LP, but this is my personal favorite from him. he also said that this is his most "him" album that he cut the least ideas from, it feels like his defining work imo
@@valleybiitch yeah, it flows track-to-track the best in my opinion as well. In all honesty LP has always felt a little bit stilted to me, I probably prefer it to Veteran but Scaring The Hoes and AMHAC are my fave albums to listen to front-to-back from JPEG
@@dat_onewhite_kid7678 I don’t think it’s necessarily less creative but I do agree it feels less personal, it feels more like a mixtape than an album to me which is why I think I find it to be good but not my fave
This was the first peggy album I ever heard, before it dropped I got the single "Jesus Forgive Me I am a Thot" in my youtube recommended. Listened to it on a whim and instantly could not wait for the rest of the album to drop. Four years later and peggy is my favorite artist of all time, crazy luck I guess
Btw after your done with Jpeg, here are some more experimental/industrial rappers to get into: Danny Brown Brockhampton Injury Reserve Clipping. Ghais Guevara Cities Aviv Bones Pink Siifu
yall need to listen to Veteran now. that was Peggy's breakout album, no one really knew who he was before that (even tho he's been releasing music since 2009) and it blew up his career.
Saw Peggy in Providence last weekend and Jesus Forgive Me was his opener. It was an instant mosh from the beginning and I felt my shoe untie and people were stepping on my laces and I thought I was gonna die right there but I ended up surviving and having an incredible time, couldn't recommend it enough
if y’all fw this one you’ll def love veteran next, and i think if y’all like the distorted and more experimental sound you would love by the time i get to phoenix by injury reserve.
I really like that you didn’t got judgemental over the gay shit he’s sayin’, what he’s doin’ is real and sincere and it’s kind of beautiful seeing him being so open-hearted
To be honest if anyone over the age of 13 gets weirded out by "gay shit", then you have a lot of growing to do, and need to get out of whatever echo chamber you exist in. lol I think people should be able to express who they are absolutely, as long as it doesn't harm anyone. Being gay/bi/trans, etc literally harms no one. So if someone expressing themselves makes you uncomfortable, then you have some serisous growing and self reflection to do. lol And to be fair ,this is directed at you. But for anyone who may come across this comment and they do think being gay is weird, less than, or something to make fun of. The baggage you have to carry in order to dislike someone for who they love is the wildest most backwards shit ever. lol Love and let love, and if for some reason you're unable to do that, at the least live and let live. I am 36 years old and its awesome seeing the younger generation not getting so hung up on things like sexuality. Sure, its going a bit far here and there online, but if you suppress anything for that long its going to be an overcorrection when its finally starting to be accepted, its simply apart of the process. But just know wasting your time making fun of, making their lives difficult or thinking someone is less than for something they are born with and in no way affects you or anyone else, is a terrible way to waste a life and the make the world less accepting than it could and should be. Lastly, liking feminine aesthetics or things society mostly deems for women doesn't make you gay. Being sensitive or in tune with feelings doesn't make you gay. We are all on an emotional spectrums. Peggy is a shining example of liking what he likes, no matter what society may deem it as. There is no rhyme or reason as to what you like, and don't let others dictate what men or women SHOULD like. Be you. We are all far more complex than we seem to give credit for.
Y’all got cocky at the end talking about how you’re not as confused by it anymore, you’re getting used to it. With Veteran up next, you better be right
if you're gojnna be reacting to veteran, i will PAY YOU GUYS to react to the ghost pop tape. it's his best in my opinion and top 3-4 in most people's rankings. lemme know!
Love you guys. It would make my year if y'all just went ahead and did the whole Peggy back catalog (there are some albums he did that still have 0 or almost 0 recations) obviously that's up to u but us Peggy fans are unreasonably dedicated ❤️
PEGGY BECOME MY FAVORITE ARTIST...I REALLY LOVE EXPERIMENTAL SONGS, AND HIM BRING IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL. (sorry the bad english, i'm a brazilian fan hahaha)
Great video! I hope you guys still react to a Danny Brown Album. This album was my intro to Peggy and it’s also my personal favorite from him. I love his melodies and use of auto tune here.
Loved the reaction!! PEGGY goated for the production here.... As a new subscriber would recommend you guys to listen to Aethiopes by Billy Woods... Very dark production and excellent lyricism!! Probably best underground lyricist IMO! Def check him out!
I would love if you guys checked out the album Set My Heart On Fire Immediately by Perfume Genius. Very different from a lot of the stuff I've seen on the channel, but the way he uses guitars kinda reminds me of the way that Peggy does. Very distorted but very beautiful and nostalgic as well.
I've met Peggy twice and he's like the nicest dude on planet earth. So nice to see him get his flowers and insane to think that I saw him and Injury Reserve in this small ass bar room for $13 right after Veteran released.
Its crazy i just started listening to him right before scare the hoes dropped and I started with veteran and went up. Veteran is wild as fuck and will be a good reaction. I also really like commie slow jams but its pretty long for the full version so might be a tough reaction
This album is so pretty. It's actually insane how chaotic and harsh but also beautiful he can make things sound at the same time
I feel the same way about Black Dresses
