Hi Brother Thank you for once again tackling the subjects so many dare not touch. I don’t judge my brothers and sisters for what they choose to do . The Holy Spirit has made it loud and clear what he expects of me, so that is the last word on the subject, I will not be swayed by others. My stance has always been that Jesus stated in no uncertain terms that “that this was not his world” and neither him nor Mary Joseph or his disciples celebrated his birthday and they KNEW exactly when he was born. No mention of the date because the whole reason he came to earth was not to be born and ENJOY 🎅 🎊 a worldly existence but it was To end ALL sacrifice 🐑as he was and is the ultimate sacrifice once and for all time . It is done , he said . No more death offerings ! Period I don’t vote 🗳️ nor do I participate in ANY holiday. They always seem to have to sacrifice 🦃 an animal at the traditional family dinner and give gifts around a butchered 🌲tree . So no - no way am I okay with that However family get togethers at other non ritualistic time periods like out at the desert 🌵 ( as I have mentioned before 😊) are fine for fellowship with loved ones. Love to you and your very wonderful family, it is a privilege to know you now and know that I will also know you when we are together with Jesus in the future! 🌸👱🏼♀️🌸 Natasha
Hi dear sister, thank you for sharing! We are pretty similar to you in a lot of ways, but with some differences. We don't have anything to do with Christmas, Easter, Halloween (of course), St. Valentines Day, and all that pagan nonsense. We also do not celebrate Hanukkah at all. However, I am second guessing if we should acknowledge the Feast of Dedication (like Jesus did), since He blessed me while researching the oil miracle. I originally intended this as a full-on "don't celebrate" video. Of course, by celebrating, I mean doing a bible study on God's miracles, or something like that (that probably isn't most people's idea of "celebrating," but reading the bible and giving thanks to God is the way I like to celebrate! 😄). We don't do Passover per se, although last year around that time of year we did a bible study on how the whole book of Exodus foreshadowed Jesus, and we did a meal where we used different foods that had biblical symbolism to teach lessons from the scriptures. I don't know if those sort of things count as "holidays" but I don't think of it that way. I try to use everything that comes up (e.g. "hey kids, this is the same month God delivered the Israelites from Egypt, let's spend the morning reading Exodus") to teach about God. Another example might be if it is a really rainy day, I could do a bible lesson with the kids about Noah's flood! 💦 I despise the "celebration of self" with birthdays. We've taught our kids that the day you get a year older, you should spend it giving thanks to God for another year. It is a privilege knowing you too, sister! Blessings to you and yours!
@@wheatNtares Hi Thanks brother for sharing all that with me ! I always feel like I should do “something” for Passover as well privately, so I read all the verses leading up to the Lords supper. I love that idea with the different foods. I think I will suggest that to my Husband- he is the cook 👨🍳 I do like to bake so I can try to make some breads maybe even some Unleavened bread. Please share more about what other creative ways that fill your children with joy about the Life of Jesus . The Noah example is also great. My sisters and I use to put on “plays” for mom and dad about Bible stories, that way we got to dress ( even put on a bit of mom’s makeup ) like different Bible characters and it was fun . One of my favorite reenactment stories was when Mary anointed Jesus with oil and wiped it with her hair ! What an amazing privilege she had . Thanks Again Dear Brother! 🌸👱🏼♀️🌸 Natasha
@@NatashaRobinson412 Our kids do that too! They put on plays and puppet shows. They love reenacting Jericho, and David and Goliath. It was really neat the other week, our daughter created puppets and did a show about the birth of Jesus. She came up with the idea, and then her brother wanted to do one, and he did the 10 plagues of Egypt. We also write songs together and do bible trivia. My wife and kids made a Jeopardy style Bible quiz game! When we study animals and nature we talk about God a lot too, and the different things he created and why and how it all works together in His big perfect plan. I think this is important because most shows, materials, and sources about animals and nature try to paint this atheistic picture of the world. There is so much you can learn about God from His creation when you know to look for it! We do teach our kids everything Christian. We include hardship and persecution and end times. We are raising them up in the full and complete gospel. There are some very important lessons that are left out of children Bibles and such, so we make sure they are prepared. Here is a song my daughter wrote with me: God made the light, God made the night, God made the sky, and all the land dry, God made the seas, God made the trees, God made one sun, and left room for the moon, and then He flung FAAAAR the firmament of STAAARS! God made fish in the sea, swimming deeply and free, God made birds in the sky, soaring gracefully high, God made beasts of the land, those that creep, crawl, and stand, God made man with his hand, on the sixth day from clay, and so Adam's heart wouldn't grieve, from flesh of his flesh He made Eve! God made the world and everything we see, And on the seventh day God rests with you and me! I figured you would appreciate this! It makes me smile every time. 🙂 It is a blessing to be able to share with you, sister. And very neat that you truly are my sister indeed! Have a blessed evening. 🙏
@@wheatNtares Hi Your family is adorable 🥰 and absolutely talented! Pretty please make a video some day if you can . So many parents are at a loss as to how to stop with the holidays and not deprive the little ones of fun. I am going to write that song down share with others. Thank you Thank you Thank you! 🌸👱🏼♀️🌸
@@NatashaRobinson412 You are welcome, Natasha! My daughter will be so happy to know other people are enjoying the song and honoring God through it! Yes, I have thought about doing more content regarding raising kids. Sometimes I feel this channel is so broad topic-wise while every other channel seems to focus on one niche. But God should be a part of every facet of our lives, so I want to share everything I can that may help other sheep. Raising kids in this corrupt world is definitely an important topic on a lot of people's minds!
I guess I'm a nobody, if nobody talks doubt about Hannukah. Nobody listened to me, in any case, when I shared my views on it about 20 years ago. The Syrians were trying to force their religion on the Jews, which included a festival of lights, but the Jews surprised them with their resistance, even when they were publicly executed for it. I began to suspect that the Syrians decided to inculcate the stubborn Jews with their religion by stealth. They possibly bribed a priest to trick them into celebrating the sun god with an emblem similar to the Menorah, feeding oil into the candlestick secretly, so that people would think it was a miracle that the lamps stayed lit. Nine is a significant number in the occult. It would not be the first time a Jewish priest betrayed his people. The Bible already has a story about the multiplication of oil, when a widow went to Elisha about how her husband's creditor was insisting that her sons be sold as slaves to pay the debt. She borrowed vessels from her neighbours and the oil in her pot kept filling them until there were no more pots to put it in. Then she sold the oil to pay the debt and had funds left over for their support. Also, the widow Elijah asked for food experienced the multiplication of oil and meal for as long as a famine lasted. I think that the only reason Jesus was hanging around on Solomon's Porch during the winter festival was because that is where there were a lot of people. He wanted to preach the Gospel to them.
What an excellent comment! Thank you for providing those details. It fits right into what I was finding and it certainly explains a lot. Good point about the other oil miracle stories, as well. Oil definitely already plays a strong symbolic role within scripture. Have a blessed day!
Love Hanukkah! Great way to have a good time with family for eight nights! God bless
