Thank you so much for this video. I have seen several videos, but, no one gives a link where to purchase the capsule fillers. Thank you for the link. I made some capsules with all the stuff I need to help my body, but, I filled them by hand and let me tell you that is a lot of work! I will be ordering this and that will make my job so much easier! I love that I can control what I put in my capsules! There is nothing artificial, no flavorings, no colors, no preservatives....nothing but my own dried food powders! That gives me power and control over what I put into my body, plus it saves me money in the long run!!
If you use the spatula thing and wipe off the excess before you put the caps on & press, it doesn't make as much of a mess. Also, put the whole thing on a cookie sheet when you're using it. It keeps the mess contained. :)
The cookie sheet is a good idea. I use a flexible plastic cutting board under my filling machine. Then I curl up the edges and pour any spillage back into the bag.

That's a great idea 💡!! I have 2 - 24 capsule making machines & I used to put wax paper on a large paper plate & mahe my capsules.
Yesterday my Capsule It manual mschine arrived & I'm making up herbal blends & I am going to use my flexable cutting board to help keep the mess contained.

You might wanna consider buying your capsules already separated. It makes it a lot easier this way you also don’t have to count to capsules because there’s only 100 spots so it will fill each spot and then you simply put the excess capsules tops or bottoms back in the bag.

I just ordered this today. Scrolled down the page and lo and behold it is you!! I think the main question I have is- how do you know that the capsules will fall into place the right way? I decided I wanted this after seeing you decide that you were going to take the ingredients from fire cider and encapsulate them. I'm almost ready to strain my first ever batch of fire cider and plan to powder and encapsulate the vegetables and herbs. Thank you for this channel. I really enjoy it.

I've always wanted to try this with clean, dry egg shells powdered for a calcium supplement
I need to put exactly 400 mg of Oxiracetam into each capsule, at least sixty of them. 😑 Just getting every dose from the scale to the capsule without spilling powder or getting it stuck somewhere seems like a maddening project. I need to do a lot more research. Thanks for your video, it gave me somewhere to start!

Your frame plate is to go on top of the capping plate to make it easier to get the caps in place.

Also just made our first batch of Stinging Nettles using Herb Affairs product for seasonal allergy relief. We tried store bought nettle capsules and had surprisingly good results. I'm a forager so it made sense to start making our own.

I think you should have put the capping plate under the frame plate and not on top of it, then after filling you slowly remove it and add the middle plate

This is the same exact process as my 'machine' that does only 24, so I can't wait to get this.

A couple of little tips you might like;
I use a spoon to sprinkle the herb - controls the amounts I need to add better.
Alsi, after I sprinkle and spread the first amount of herb, before I use the packer, I like to pick up the whole unit and tap it several times on the table. You can see it settles the herb down to about half a capsule full!!
This is especially helpful with very fine powdery herbs.
I find if I use the packer first, I still see empty spaces at the bottom of the capsule.
I just tap the unit on the table a few times, each time I add powder - typically add about 3 times.
Then I only use the packer the last couple of times as I add tiny-er amounts..
I hope this is helpful to someone.

Question.. I have one that I just used today and I had size 0 which says holds 400-800mg. Just filling the bodies only yielded ~450/500. I tried to fill the tops too but it didn’t really work out too well. Any recommendations ?

Hello! I know I’m late to this, however, if you look in the beginning of her video, when she shows the capsules they say 00. I had to go back and look myself. Hope that helps!
I like to pour much more capsules than needed and to get them into the holes and just pour out the excess.
I powder up my beets but never thought to put them in capsules. I do put mornings in capsules. Vegan capsules.

I've been using the pre seperated capsules but not happy with about 7% not being round and subsequently failing to fit together. Have you had this problem with the pre-assembled capsules?

Great video and lots of useful information. I've been wanting to learn how to do this. How do you determine the dosage? For example if you were wanting 250 mg Milk Thistle or 500 mg Cats Claw Capsules.
You would use different size capsules for different doses. 00 are something like 500mg while 000 are closer to 800mg - dependent on the powder obviously. Weigh an empty capsule and weigh a filled one to determine the exact weight

Not a super bad description.
You did forget a step which is weird. Like when it was time to remove the frame plate and replace it with the spill guard.
For some odd reason you just didn't say it and skipped right over it.
Still, With a combination of the instructions and this video, it worked!
If I only had the instructions I wouldn't have been able to figure it out so thank you for that.
However if I only had your video I also wouldn't have been able to figure it out.
When you separate them why aren’t you putting the halves in the proper hole? Much quicker I would think.. and at the same time put the other half in the other plate..

I purchased this product and am struggling with the step where I put the caps on. When I put the green capping tray on top of the loaded caps, and turn it over to effectively be able to meet up and join with the herb loaded bottom, all my caps fall out through the green capping tray?!?! What am I doing wrong? I ordered 00 Capsul-it and am using 00 dotters veg capsules.
