It seems that many many people are interested in this video so I thought I'd put it up here on my profile page. I wish you guys all the best for this new year 2014. Let's Make it a Great One!! Thank you so much for your continued support.
I just discovered your website and wonderful guitar patches, especially for the boss GT-10 and 100. I do have a question, though: Certain sets of patches are for 4CM or straight into the effects loop. But how should I be wired for the other patches where those methods are not specified? Thank you, Kevin
Thank you so much for this Glenn. This was the first patch I have programmed into my brand new GT-100 and what a belter! Perfect to set me off learning Shine On (and my way around creating patches on the GT-100). One happy bunny here.
bought gt 100 about 7 months ago; iwas ready to return it ,cause i couldnt figure it out. with very limited time, went on line; found glen delaune made a little time, &im getting it! thanks glen& im coming for some of your patches!! keep rockin dude!
Hey man, I'm just watching this after playing a friends gt100 and that was literally the most sincere thank you I've ever heard in a video haha you rock, I'm glad we can motivate you to play more and keep making noise 🤘
After a long wait (due to technical email difficulties)! Thanks Glenn for getting back. A man of your word. Got back to me with the emailed patches and gave advice on the SOUND ON SOUND - GILMOUR EFFECT which now works fantastically well. Cheers Chris
Dude, I have 3 guitars (2 electric, 1 acoustic) and showed your videos to my wife. I guess now she thinks it is normal to have 10 or more guitars. Thanks for your videos, you're helping me in trying to make my wife's mind to let me buy more guitars.
Well, I have known about Glenn for some time. What brought here was a desire to learn how to create a freeze or hold function on the GT 100. Learned about this capability only recently. I had actually been looking at other pedals to create this effect, most notably the EHX Freeze . But just couldn't convince myself that a "one note" pedal that isn't even stereo was worth it, even at a modest price. Not really expert in programming the GT but this video has been a treasure trove. Nonetheless, I decided to support Glenn in a small way by buying this patch. The patch and three other Gilmour patches cost me a grand total of about $5.00 and the patch works and sounds great. Glenn, you saved me about $120.00. In sum, I have so many musical and other things going on, programming the GT has not been on my radar. However, I am going to study some of Glenn's other instructional type videos. The guy is an A+ patch developer, teacher and musician, hands down
Glenn, I've listened to the first 2 & 1/2 minutes of this video so many times. I have it on my bookmarks tab and when I need to refocus and calm my mind I click on it. Your tone is so good here. It's better than David Gilmour's and if anyone doesn't believe me they should listen to this and then immediately listen to David Gilmour's tone on this song and they'll see. After listening to your sound here, his sound feels like going from high definition back to standard TV. Great job!!
If there's any single video out there that will convince me to get the GT 100, then this is the one. I did re create that sound on sound with multiple delays and a couple of ernie ball vol pedals, but was too much to transport around. Now with this, its much easier Thanks for an awesome video
Hey, this is a great video! You really seem to get into the music you're playing! Its also really helpfull that you explain how you create the tone! =) Keep on posting these awesome videos!
Yes the only difference is the High EQ setting. When using the GT-100 with my Direct to amp settings I found that I had to turn the high EQ setting down to around -6 or -8 to get the amp sound right and not shrill or annoyingly high end ear splitting sound. But for direct recording that setting is too dark. It's a simple matter of adjusting it for the different applications. I only adjust the High EQ setting. Everything else always remains the same.
Great stuff. Thanks for the info. I'm going to have to try that. Upper mate. And I didn't know about making a clean patch. With the init. Thank you for all the time you give out with these unit. I'm learning so much. Thanks Glenn
Is there any way to setup a global tap tempo like the pod hd500x. I see you have both units. On the pod hd500x I am experiencing lagging between preset changes. GT 100 is instant any way to adjust that on the pod. Thanks glen love your videos watch them often. Thanks
I bought the patches as my input settings from the video did not seem to work on the long delay config. Glad I did. The other patches are also good. Cheers.
Glenn, nice job Man. I have a GT-100 that I have to admit was not overly impressed with the factory offering, finding this web site has been great, and your pay for patch site is impressive, and I appreciate your not charging a lot for your obvious hard work. Thanks for Sharing !
Hi Glenn.. Thanks for this video.. it was really helpful for me.. I was a big Gilmour fan (still am).. and eventually got into Melodic/Doom/Drone metal.. this patch helped me figure out a perfect setup for creating that drone doom, sound on sound effect I was looking for
this video is amazing :D thank you so much for this tutorial. I bought the GT100 and i will receive it next week, i can't wait to have this amazing pedal *o*
Glenn I have a deluxe reverb silver face '72, and I only use pedals. I suscribed to your channel because you are the best TH-camr I ve seen so far. You take the time to answer most questions people ask you and you are also a killer player bro. Blessings for you brother
Thanks so much man. I was mucking around with “shine” also but there is endless possibilities with this patch. Once I got the foot and guitar volume mix just right it is a lot of fun.”swell” 👌👌👌👌
Thanks Glenn the patch sounds great. I've only just got a GT100 I wish I'd bought one years ago. The video has give me more insight on how to program it, a big thank you, this has really been a big helped to me. Cheers Gary
Another way you could also do this would be to have two preamps and have say, channel B as your sound on sound... in there you could move the 1000ms delay into this block and move the foot volume just before the delay.. Channel A would be your normal picking guitar channel. Great video Glenn. Really appreciate the time and effort you put in to share for others :)
hahaha works perfect!! Thanks so much!! for sharing!! love this mellow styles you can achieve with this thing! Even did a few very small tweaks just to personal taste! Awesome!!
Hi Glen, I love your videos on the GT 100. I just bought mine and have been going through the manual and some of the videos. Didn't know if you might be able to help with a certain sound I am trying to get. I would like a patch that incudes distortion, unison sound and wah. I am trying to emulate the synth Solo in Queen's song 'I want to break free' . cant find any info on creating a unison sound in the manual.. Many thanks Bernie
First let me start by saying that your videos are simply awesome. It is becoming a buying reference for me when checking new gear... Please keep doing this ;) Would you please make a video also on how to operate the "sound hold" function on the GT-100... I can not get it to even work?!!!
Hi Glenn. I am new to the GT-100. I just came across your video. I love it. I am going to try to follow the settings. I do have a question. When you go to the clean boost and a phaser effect which pedals are you pressing. Is it phase/loop and 4?Thank you for all your hard work on these patches!
Hey Bro.Glennie, you my friend, are a serious breath of fresh air!!Not only are you an amazing perfectionista but also seem to be one of the humblest Top Shelf Guitarist i've ever known..and just for your information..i'm heavily influenced by Neil Schon, Pat Travers, Robin Trower, Lee Ritenour, George Benson, Earl Klugh, Eric Clapton, Pat Metheny & Jeff Golub. But yes i have always adored the awesome tone & flavor of David Gilmour & Mel Galley (Trapez) & Sir Jeff Beck..however..NONE of these Cats would ever be interested in sharing their High Quality Programmes such as you have Brother Glennie!!I still only use my Line6 xtLive Floor Console and these Line Six folks were actually idiots to place that damned Micro Window Viewer for this Console as when i'm doing a show ..i literally have to use ESP to know where each patch is placed when i'm in the heat of Tempo & Meter!!Ha!!Anyway, i am today one of your newest fans and wish you'd come up with your own Original Group (and hope you'd hire me as your lead vocalist..if you ever find yourself in need??My vocal flavor is Blue Eyed Rock?Soul much like The Isley Brothers & Sir GlennHughes & even some Stevie Wonder songs.TakeCare "Mr.Sonnyfales" (Bangkok)

Glenn DeLaune Forgive my ignorance but will your custom patches for the GT-100 download and work in the GT-10? At first glance most of the FX and controls seem to be the same except some of more modern ones.

Thank you guys so much for your continued support.
HELP i got a really good handle pn my gt 100 excelt how to loop. when i got to loop im stuck in a weird 3/4 timming and the loop repeats upside down and backwards. HELP
Hello. I can not do this effect on gt 10 boss. The video you sent me I had already seen. When I did what the video teaches, the effect appeared and also a delay repeating the guitar's touch, as if they were two delays
@@GlennDeLauneOfficial I found a video out there that now I can't find because it taught me how to dial in the gt100 for that sound. Then I messed with it and it got messed up. And now I can't find the video LOL. Let me just say it I appreciate you posting these videos.. even four years ago people are still watching them today I'm proof of that. I really would love to have that sound on my boss again.
A true musician
An honest guy who tells it like it is
Thank you for your continued support Robert

Hi Kevin, those other ones are designed for direct recording are direct into a PA or monitor system.
That is beautiful killer man.!
does this come from the factory already sounding this way or do you have to build your own like the gt 10.
Thank you so much for this Glenn. This was the first patch I have programmed into my brand new GT-100 and what a belter! Perfect to set me off learning Shine On (and my way around creating patches on the GT-100). One happy bunny here.

You would still need 2 delays and volume pedal.
or maybe an A/B/Y box after the first delay unit.
I'm pretty sure it is. I haven't tried it yet but I plan to soon.

Thank you! It works and sounds nice!
hi Glenn. Its a great effect. But i cannot set it to hold the sound when i release the pedal. Where is the problem?
Hi Glenn. I am new to the GT-100. I just came across your video. I love it. I am going to try to follow the settings. I do have a question. When you go to the clean boost and a phaser effect which pedals are you pressing. Is it phase/loop and 4?Thank you for all your hard work on these patches!

thanks glenn.....you are the best :)
hi. is there another way to hook this up to a separate volume pedal rather than using the volume on the guitar.great video many thanks.
That's fantastic. That is right on the money.
Glenn,I think you're playing the 4 note chiming incorrectly. I may be wrong too,but I do it with an open G while playing the Bb on the D string, the F on the B string, the open G and the open E. I really think it sounds more like how David plays it as I have tried it both ways and one day I had this epiphany to start it on the 6th fret of the D string. Not a huge fan of TAB,so I won't be doing that. Go ahead and try it both ways and see what sounds more chimelike.
Yes you are correct I am playing wrong.
Thanks for this video. I still have problem to find good sounds on my GT 100.
Dude your amazing man......thx for all that u do dude !!!! By any chance do you happen to have a version of the snd on snd for the GT 10 ??
Very nice , ty
Glenn I’m wondering if you are planing to do video like this for the mooer GE 300 or putting out a David Gilmour package for that unit.
Thanks I think your videos are top notch
Thanks Glenn!
hi glenn; a couple of questions if i may. which in your opinion is better, the GT1001 or the POD HD 400/500 .
also i have the tc electronic g force. do you know if i would be able to create the sound on sound effect with this unit. i have the roland FC200 midi floor controller and wonder if i could assign the pedal of this controller to the delay. ? or would you advise another pedal? regards bob

Hello. I can not do this effect on gt 10 boss. The video you sent me I had already seen. When I did what the video teaches, the effect appeared and also a delay repeating the guitar's touch, as if they were two delays
Is there any video that you made showing how to dial in the boss GT 100 for David gilmour sound on speak to me / breathe?
No Aaron, I'm sorry but I have not done one for that tone.
Great video I'm thinking about getting this. How does this hold up against the newer GT-1000 and Helix? Are the tones just as good? Thanks
