This technique improves on other videos in that it has the dog perform most of the exercise correctly from the very beginning, as opposed to shaping gradually and slowly building toward the end result.
I love how you train your dog like that, I'm trying to train my Jack Russlle Terrier mix smooth fox terrier, but she will only jump onto the chair, when I'm off the chair she will just sit she will not jump. Can you help me?
my golden retriever just sits an watches me acting crazy teaching it to do this trick , to make it exited i give it a treat and then back to the start , sit and watch me act crazy , LOL ! i love my dog tho
Natalie Scott have you tried teaching “upup” on a chair first? Just teaching your dog it’s ok to jump on things when you tell them. Some dogs don’t think it’s right to jump up. So teach a chair first until your dog is comfortable and then sit in the chair and tell them to upup.
What is XO's race? I have a rescue dog (I've ordered a DNA test) and she looks exactly like the dog being trained. The white in the end of the tail, the black/white, the dots and the general shape of her face (She has more of the white though, probably a mix) She's just 15 pounds, and I'm guessing she's around 8 months old.
I re- trained it and would you believe it SHE LOVES ITTTTT When we go to a dog show she will do it without a treat so we went to a dog show with out treats and she did it in best trick and we won a third 😊

I got a 15 Pound fully grown puppy and I'm 5"6 and she can jump all the way to my wast
My dog does this but we don't do it often, she is a bichon and doesn't have much energy. 😅😉

I would do this, but my 8 month old puppy weights more then 60 pounds.. so yea....
Yup, obviously not for every dog. The video clearly gives disclaimers ;) every dog in the video is 18-38 pounds and very athletic.

How much do these dogs weigh? I can't imagine it, even with a 50 pound dog.
