Another good one Ken. Thanks for a run up the coast. Many years ago I got a $3 clock from the news agency, it's been in the truck for over a million k's now. Doing a lot of fish at the moment, get going about 2 am, usually about 2/4c, gets warmer during the day, even had a bit of frost on Thursday. We're going right through Christmas and new year, just having Sunday of both weeks.

Hi Ken We went up to townsville about the same time as this video, We also got caught at the roadworks between rocky and mackey, they are a pain because they were so close together you could not get a good run between them. Good video by the way watched every minute, as I have also done some long distance driving in my time, but not in big rigs, so enjoyed the scenery as it brought memories back
I really love your videos and it’s great to see you got a great Companion as a Truckie too Johno and if your working through Christmas try and have a good cooked meal some where for Christmas lunch or tea. See you on the next video and stay safe

Another rippa Rita, Kenny beautifully edited , music as good as ever, went straight down to the local Birch Carrol and Coyle and asked the manager when it was going to hit the big screen lol. When done like that over the 90 minutes, it should show us all what you blokes go through week in,week out to move what we all have on our kitchen tables ,in cupboards and fridges and we take for granted, so the next time you look at the jar of Vegemite on your kitchen table, ponder over what you saw in this video, and give a little thought to how it got there. Firstly Ken, interesting to hear about your time scheduling. I would have thought it would be easier to log in 6 minute intervals, so 6 minutes is .1 of an hour. So 9.6 is 9hrs and 36 minutes. Maybe give more of an insight into the log book and how you manage it. So happy to see you are continuing the videos. Already looking forward to the next one.
When in Brisbane watch out going Mt Gravatt capelaba road up past garden city to the freeway they have cops getting road trains some time driving in built up area or some crap

I remember many years ago when I worked at what use to be call the Clybucca Roadhouse just north of Kempsey NSW Now closed because of the Kempsey bypass going around it and how that place became a popular changeover stop being close enough to half way between Sydney and Brisbane and the amount of arguments that would take place from one truckie being late.
@@ozstickman I use to work there for 6 years before it became a truck stop back in the late 1980's and the site was bought by a guy who had another truck stop down near bulahdelah so it was good to watch it transform into a truck stop. I continued to work there up until mid 1992. I eventually quit working there because the Manager was a drunk and he treated his staff like Sh!t. It was a great place to work at the time but it was just so poorly managed.
Excellent video as always 👌 and merry Christmas you and all. Take some time to think and remember the guys and girls still wheeling over Christmas break so people can, to keeping Australian moving. Don't let those wobble boxes get ya down 😂 to those that are just viewers not actually a truck driver and your towing a caravan this holidays please remember truck drivers are working and on time limits PLEASE allow truck drivers to do do there work, if you can't do 100 move as soon as possible...last but not least DO NOT park in truck rest bays either on HWY or truck stops there ONLY for truck drivers so they can rest and break so they can be safe on the road for everyone. Some drivers will park you in and call the police it's against the law to park in truck rest areas. It may seem like a inconvenience but remember your on holidays that driver needs a break so don't pull out the deck chairs and have a picnic find somewhere else. Do not get in the way of a tired driver, there food and there shower they will probably rip you a new one.

Firstly Ken, interesting to hear about your time scheduling. I would have thought it would be easier to log in 6 minute intervals, so 6 minutes is .1 of an hour. So 9.6 is 9hrs and 36 minutes. Maybe give more of an insight into the log book and how you manage it. So happy to see you are continuing the videos. Already looking forward to the next one.

When in Brisbane watch out going Mt Gravatt capelaba road up past garden city to the freeway they have cops getting road trains some time driving in built up area or some crap
You can run a b double through there if you’re not going straight through Brisbane to somewhere else

I remember many years ago when I worked at what use to be call the Clybucca Roadhouse just north of Kempsey NSW Now closed because of the Kempsey bypass going around it and how that place became a popular changeover stop being close enough to half way between Sydney and Brisbane and the amount of arguments that would take place from one truckie being late.
Use to be some good arguments there. Use to do change overs there from 99 to about 2008
@@ozstickman I use to work there for 6 years before it became a truck stop back in the late 1980's and the site was bought by a guy who had another truck stop down near bulahdelah so it was good to watch it transform into a truck stop. I continued to work there up until mid 1992. I eventually quit working there because the Manager was a drunk and he treated his staff like Sh!t. It was a great place to work at the time but it was just so poorly managed.

Excellent video as always 👌 and merry Christmas you and all. Take some time to think and remember the guys and girls still wheeling over Christmas break so people can, to keeping Australian moving. Don't let those wobble boxes get ya down 😂 to those that are just viewers not actually a truck driver and your towing a caravan this holidays please remember truck drivers are working and on time limits PLEASE allow truck drivers to do do there work, if you can't do 100 move as soon as possible...last but not least DO NOT park in truck rest bays either on HWY or truck stops there ONLY for truck drivers so they can rest and break so they can be safe on the road for everyone. Some drivers will park you in and call the police it's against the law to park in truck rest areas. It may seem like a inconvenience but remember your on holidays that driver needs a break so don't pull out the deck chairs and have a picnic find somewhere else. Do not get in the way of a tired driver, there food and there shower they will probably rip you a new one.
