I think this colorway is the best of the 3 pairs for that released this year. The shades of blue and yellow works well and would look good on any occasion. Thanks for the detailed review. 🤝💯🙌
New balance has been on fire last 2 years. I’ve been pretty much rotating only NB. Went back to wearing a pair of Jordan 1 highs and they felt awful now 😂
🙌 finally u got em. Waiting for your review on it, I have the same. Non collab yet so 🔥. Overall Sean, what is your best colourway of stage 2 of the refined pack, ignore the first three that released. I think the pink, orange and thus blue one are quite good. Can’t wait to see the others
Never owned a pair of new balance but been thinking of getting these, I normally wear a size uk8 in Jordan’s and uk8 in adidas but uk9 in Yeezys.. what size should I have to buy in the protection pack? Thank you.
Sean, I got impatient and ended up stockx-ing the JP colorway. Then found out StockX has been passing reps of these like crazy. Went on neurotic comparing my pair to real/rep pics. It's real thank god. 1/10 would never do again haha
I love New Balance. I love the 2002r model. And I love me some "dad shoes" as well. However....this colourway? I just can't help but see a walking frame with this in the on-feet footage. Perhaps it's just me , but this colourway screams "Grandpa's sneakers". Completely IMHO.
This pack is the most "new balance" cws released so far on the 2002r ... Literally all 3 are the most classic CWs around which have yet to hit the 2002r. Your comment honestly makes no sense to me 🤷♂️
@@zacharymutter8432 No doubt they are classic colourways. But you have to take into consideration that New Balance only really became "hip" to the mainstream a few years ago. Before that they are known to the NB aficionados.....and dads/grand-dads. And they are riding the bulky dad shoes trend to where they are today. Just because you are cool now does not make your traditional colourways identify any less to what they were known for prior. This particular colourway that are favoured by the elder gents, have been churned out en masse by department stores like Target and JCPenney. Unfortunately the association is there. I show my grey 990V5 and 2002r (which I think are just the bees-knees) to my partner and family members who are not into sneakers, and their immediate reactions are "God that's what grandpa wears!" It stings abit, but I can appreciate why they say that.
@@Shogun9300 They are still excellent sneakers, with unbeatable comfort. It just means that it takes abit more sense-of-style and flair to be able to pull these off without them coming across as "old people sneakers".
The designer got the inspiration when he saw a lot of people on the east coast wearing the new balances for 8 years and plus and even though the sneakers were very worn it still held together pretty well and that’s where he got the inspiration from.

No way, the Japan colorway is way better imo.

NB needs to make a CA/US release for these. I'm getting real impatient.

Agreed. It’s just not doing it for me either. Fine line between fashionable “dad shoe” and actual shoe made for old men.

What’s the story behind these, why are they all ripped/torn/dirty looking?
Judge do some research on this shoe…too long of a story to explain
