making & having jigs in the shop is a life saver (or a project saver !) One modification I did to my 'L' fence was to add a piece of PSA melamine edge banding to the 'business end' of the fence for a smooth surface for my guide piece to run against.
Thanks again Wes for all that you do ...Keep'em comin' !
Thank you, Wes. Another great jig.
Thanks Teacher Wes. I don’t have much heat in my garage workshop so as soon as the weather warms up, I’ll be trying this project. Great video as usual. Enjoy your weekend. ✌🏽🙏🏽
Great jig Wes! I’ll build one.👌👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks again Wes!
Love that jig, thanks.
Sehr schöne Hilfe 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ja, das beste icn liebe liebe europa
Very handy jig Wes, thanks. Stay safe.
Thanks for showing the advantages of an L fence. I use my L fence for duplication of small parts and anything that has convex shape by making multiple cuts.
I usually set the fence to leave just a little bit wider than the pattern and then using a spiral ball bearing pattern bit on my router to bring it to the exact size.
I recently made many heart shapes with roughing out on the L fence and then sizing it to exact using the router bit. It worked quite well .
L-fences are great for cutting straight edges on rough-sawn boards, for use as angle cutting jigs, or even for creating longer, straight pieces of thin stock for trim on plywood edges, etc. Further, L-fences are also relatively inexpensive because they are typically made of scrap plywood and don't require the use of toggle clamps, as many jigs do.
I prefer to use threaded knobs rather than wing nuts to fasten the two parts of the fence together, but that's just me. (I dislike wing nuts, in general, even though they are effective and inexpensive, because I have old fingers. 😎.)
Thanks for the video. It should be useful to many woodworkers. 👍👍
I can see how that would be super helpful. Good video.
awosome super super good explanation and advice super week-end mon ami tes le meilleur
Do you have plans for a baby high chair????
Mais vídeo dublado 🎉🎉🎉. Demorei pra entender a finalidade deste gabarito, mas ao final ficou muito descobri mais uma ótima forma de esquadrejar peças curvas, ou empenadas..parabéns mestre

Can someone tell me the things this jig can be used for? Didnt really get why this can be more practical
That's a great jig, but why not just use a track saw?
Great question. I was just thinking about a plywood sheet cutter for a table saw. An old cabinet maker I knew could lay his plywood flat and rip or cross cut it using a giant jig he had built to slide in the table saw tracks. It requires a lot of table space around the saw. A track saw is much quicker but not as sturdy.
@ You can use saw horses and the nice thing about the track is you can clamp it to the work.
I lol every time you say wing-nut. It’s a funny name I e heard people use for a silly person’s actions
