    Thank you Pannonic Mechanic! I m looking to buy a Hyundai Accent from 1999 with very low mileage and no rust, but that doesnt work due to being left unused so i will have to check the pump and drain the fuel. Your videos help me a lot to get the knolewdge and confidence to do it!

    What size socket did you use to remove the seats? Would this be the same process for 08 Hyundai Elantra?

    • @pannonicmechanic
      @pannonicmechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used a 12mm Socket. I´m sorry, but i´m not familiar with the 08 Hyundai Elantra. I was working in a Hyundai workshop until 2004 and since then i only repair my own car/s.

    • @pannonicmechanic

      That´s interesting, it should be the same than mine. Normally you can buy this filter aftermarket. Please try online or in a car parts store.

    I have a 2006 accent as well im trying to figure out why it keeps dying ive put new o2 sensor maf sensor throttle position sensor idle sensor new fuel pump new cam and crankshaft sensors spark plugs and coils i cant find a map sensor and im trying to replace fuel pressure regulator but not sure how to cuz theres no shreader valve (not sure if i spelt that right) how do i replace my fpr if theres no valve to release pressure and what do you think the problem is with it stalling still??

    • @pannonicmechanic
      @pannonicmechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. As i see, you replaced many parts on this car. The fuel pressure regulator is on the end of the rail, where the injectors are mounted. It should be easy to do, but i never did it.
      Do you have other symptoms too? Does the car smoke much from the exhaust?
      Did you already check the timing belt and if the timing marks are correct?
      Are you the owner of this car?

    • @mariamora5239
      @mariamora5239 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am the owner of car and no it's not smoking and I haven't checked into the timing belt trying to do things that I have the tools to do it with learning as I go but still having a hard time with it after I took off throttle body it started like switching gears rough which completely confused me since that has nthn to do with each other but any advice or help you can give me I greatly appreciate just trying to get it running for my son and myself

    • @pannonicmechanic
      @pannonicmechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. My question if the car smokes was, beacuse i had a car with a similar problem and an easy solution. Unfortunately the owner refueled it with the wrong fuel, diesel instead of petrol. And it had also the other symptoms than your car, that the engine is dying.
      First of all it would be interesting, if something happened to that car. Were you in a workshop before? Did someone try to do something with the car? Or did the fault come suddenly?
      It would be good, if you could check the timing belt for correct alignement. You could also check the exhaust system for blockages. The best option for this is to remove the exhaust at the catalytic converter or the cylinder head, start the engine short and check if the failure is still there. I did also with that car i told you, it was very loud.
      Did you check the air flow meter/mass air flow sensor? Unfortunately i ruined that part at my first Accent and the engine was also not running. It was horrible, till i got another part.
      You mean you started the engine with a removed throttle body? If yes, that´s not a good idea, because the system is interrupted and so it cannot work.
      I hope i could help you. Feel free to ask.

    What would you recommend to do on 2005 accent that been sitting for 8 years?

    • @pannonicmechanic
      @pannonicmechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      8 Years are a long time. I think you will need new Tires, new Brakes and a maintenance of the engine. That includes minimum an Oilchange and replacing the Timing Belt included the V-Belts. You should also replace all Filters, included the Cabin Filter. After such a long time there is a risk, that the sealings of the engine become hard and you will have many oil leaks. For example the Sealing Rings of the Camshaft and the Crankshaft and the Valve Cover Sealing.
      You must also look for damages. Are the Spark Plug Cables ok? In which condition are the Shock Absorbers, the Springs and the Silentblocs? Do the Power Windows work? Sometimes the Electric Motors stuck or the Windows in the Rubber Sealings. Does the Fuel Pump work?
      Maybe it would be a good idea to start the engine and to take the car to the safety inspection. In this case you should not drive too much, because the Timing Belt can rip off. To reactivate a car which was sitting for such a long time, is much work and much money.
