well they are known to break down and have numerous issues. i will admit most EVs as of now are not perfect, but at least a lexus or mercedes-benz electric car won't break down constantly
Right now (I think even after 2 years), no one competitor offers you a more reasonable option than Lucid Gravity for design, groundbreaking range, price, and individualism. Brilliant job.

People tend to choose based on their needs and while i need to drive a lot and cover large distances i still wouldn’t choose lucid cause they’re really new to the market and it will have defects so my choose is the ioniq 5 which drives amazing, has a great sound system and feels light and compact while being pretty darn fast.

hummmmm 80k is by all means not a fair price. It’s an expensive car. Chinese EVs has more features with half of the price. Also the service and charging networks post serious questions for broad adoption.
Needs an optional gas range extender for us in apt. This would also add hundreds of miles to the range installed where the rear seats go down a hybrid Prius gets 700 mile range fills up in2 minutes or less

In freezing cold or when chargers are not working. That vehicle at the right price would sell like hotcakes. Americans who want evs actually would prefer some sort of gas backup. 8n it. Like a reverse plug in and bmw first ev with the gas generator.

I'm not a fan of SUV's but that thing is nice! I do like how they made it as efficient as possible and not so big and cumbersome for the sake of being big. Also, the space actually looks usable unlike some SUV's and crossovers.

I doubt it. Lucid is a premium brand. Trucks are just not glamorous. You don’t really see Mercedes or BMW trucks in America. If they make one it would be years down the line. Most likely next models will be smaller Air and Gravity and be around $50-$60k.
I love this, so much. It makes me feel like a direct upgrade for my beloved, decade old flex. Low slung, high powered. Maybe, just maybe I’ll get lucky.
You can. They announced the partnership with Tesla but most of the chargers they have are slow 150kwh chargers with 400v..But still I guess better than nothing.
@@Zmap6191 It's a bit worse than that. At 400V you won't see more than 50kW. Lucid comes with EA charging for free for up to three years, depending on trim level. EA's network will charge a Lucid much faster...if it works. But if it doesn't, and I have to pay for charging anyway, and I won't get more than 50kW from Tesla (plus the cables aren't likely to reach) then I could use any CCS provider with 50kW or more until Tesla gets its act together and builds a V4 network with 1000V support. By the time the Gravity comes out, it will have NACS so you will be able to charge at Tesla Superchargers. Assuming that the other providers add NACS by then, you'll be able to charge there too. But I wouldn't be surprised if you needed an adapter as a backup, in case there are CCS stations that haven't been converted and the only Tesla chargers around are pre-V4.
I own Lucid Air. It is an excellent car, but the software is not there yet, way behind Tesla. Does anyone know when the actual split-screen functionality will be coming? It is super annoying that the same screen has to share navigation, music, and phone, and only one at a time.
I always find it fascinating, that very fancy and high tech products are often hold back buy subpar decisions in software developments. I have the same with a mechanical keyboard I bought. The physical product is amazing, but the software lacks so many useful features.... And being a software developer, I know how relatively simple it is to implement a split screen functionality. The lack of it in the air software as you said has nothing to do with it being too difficult or expensive... Just bad decisions. I wish car screen software would be open-source, so people could design plugins or their own variants of the software and modify it how ever you want. Sadly the world is moving towards less choice, freedom and personalization not more.
It would be really helpful to add (unless it already has it) infrared or something like that for bad weather. An add on to one of the driver selectable screens would be nice. I would love to have one if I could ever afford it. lol. It is a great looking well thought out vehicle that will give Tesla a run for their money. Plus LCID stock price is affordable. @@thadlm2698 The standard isn't better but the reliability is better and the connector is better as long as it's not an overly thick cable. I have a Tesla wall connector at home capable of 80A, and with a thick cable. It's harder to manipulate than the one that comes with the Lucid, but that won't be the case for a V3+ Supercharger. Until the V4 ones come out, CCS still has better chargers at 350kW and 1000V, but it's a moot point if they aren't reliable. If they work, I should be able to add up to 200 miles of range in 12 minutes, as opposed to well over an hour at a Tesla Supercharger with a Lucid, until V4 gets deployed.
While I love my Model S, I have to say this is an enticing vehicle. And they have a CEO you can actually respect. Kudos to the entire Lucid team. Clearly, “Every millimeter counts”
