    Looked clean, nice bed, appeared to be good amenities in the room (dont understand the comment who said otherwise)? very friendly staff, I understand why it attract the Korean market.
    Personally I would chose another location, its not like Terminal 21 has a big pull factor.
    Hotel reviews are clearly your thing👍 Cheers.

      Many thanks, Anders. I know what you mean about the location. Not many people visit Pattaya just to go to Terminal 21! Having said that, it's on the Baht Bus route, so it's really not difficult to get to Beach Road and back, if that's what you prefer! I've done quite a lot of hotel reviews on the channel. Not so many recently. Maybe I should do a few more on my travels. Anyway, thanks again for your comment!

    Good review. Notably the first video that brings up the safety issue which should be mandatory..

    If you don’t mind me asking, how much is appropriate for tipping the lady who showed you to the room and the fellow who brought your bag up?

    • @balloonchaser
      @balloonchaser  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks, that's a good question. I don't know the correct answer, but having lived here a few years I think it's ok to give 20-40 baht per bag or for showing you the room. On this occasion I gave extra because they were kind enough to let me film them! However, I know many people, especially those on vacation, who would give much more. I think give whatever you are comfortable with, I'm sure they'll be appreciative. Thanks for raising the point!

    Nice review. I think they make up how many stars. I have had it before when you book an Agoda discount room and they put you far away or worst view. Gets those rooms used. Nice pan shot of the bed. As for the little friend , sure I have heard that phrase somewhere before lol. Drinking on the job too lol. Won't mention Villa Park 😉

    Looks like a decent place to stay, especially if you are Korean and like to hit the six - convenient. It was nice not to see many guys eating breakfast with their barfines. That is always somewhat sad to see guys proudly parading paid company - as though it somehow validates their masculinity rather than highlight the fact that they need to pay for it. The food selection for breakfast looked good, though the juices at these buffets are seldom natural - even in places like Hilton. Did she actually say that room service was 24H - except at night? I love that concept. This video was a bit expensive to make, I expect, so I hope it gets the views.

    • @balloonchaser
      @balloonchaser  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, David. Yes, definitely a decent place to stay, especially if you are looking for something a little bit different, but still in a great location. Breakfast had a bigger choice than I could show as it was quite busy there.
      I probably paid 'top dollar' but that's par for the course the week before Christmas. I think if a channel has 50,000 subscribers they may get free hotel stays. So only another 49,900 or so to go!!

    HOW ABOUT THE "BEST BEACH VILLA"

    • @balloonchaser
      @balloonchaser  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My honest answer is I think it's ok. I have stayed there several times, but not recently! I like the location on soi 5, and it's not noisy and close to the beach and baht bus route. But I found on my last visit the place was feeling dated and the breakfast wasn't so good. Maybe they've done some refurbishment since then. The problem with pattaya is there's too much choice. My advice would be to book somewhere for a night and then stay longer if you like it (but obviously that only works in low season or when availability isn't going to be an issue).

    Having stayed at a gazillion hotels in Asia and around the world ( it was my job) I'd say that's pushing it at a 4 star,, definitely not 5 star. In room amenities make that abundantly clear if everything else didn't. There's no 5 star hotel in the world that would present snacks etc that way or indeed the quality of them. Ditto the complimentary shampoo etc - 3/4 star standard

      @@balloonchaser No worries. I have to say you're incredibly polite to everyone that comments. I realised in retrospect I didn't actually comment on your actual video - which was great. • @balloonchaser
      @balloonchaser  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. For me it's whether the things you need are up to standard. I know some hotels get 5 stars partly because they have facilities for business or conferences. Those things are of no use to me! The good thing about Pattaya is there's so much choice. If this isn't the place for you, the alternatives are plentiful. Thanks again.
